yusman14: See the way people are overhyping MBBS... Engineering students suffer alot..Imagine having 10 straight hours of lectures per day and you still have to read and do practical, workshop practice....
In my 200L second semester,I offered courses in all engineering department i.e 8 bulky courses.. The smallest textbook out of these courses have (1040 page that was Electronics engineering by Hughes)..That means we finished 8 bulky courses within 3months while MBBS students have solid 1 year for just 3 courses... To be sincere, this two courses are difficult but Engineering is more demanding..coupled with stress and alot of workshop practice...
I respect doctors alot Sha .. Engine students should engage in discourse also. It might seem that everywhere you go it's medicine this medicine that but sometimes it's just that they're the only ones interacting with each other and others from other fields. |

BreconHills: All over the world the virus begins its spread in places with the largest airports and sir traffic. It follows business and commerce not place names. As time passes spread in secondary areas increases. Nigeria's own is too inconsistent and uneven . Lagos might be the one with the large ports and all but commerce and business is nationwide . |

I have always wondered by States like Zamfara, Kano and Katsina with very cold weather this period and high population have low, I mean very low figures when compared to other hotter states. If COVID 19 spreads as a result of Colder Temperature, Population and Contacts.
Remember, this is not to dispute the fact that Covid does not spread in warmer weather. I'm just curious yea it's confusing. Also curious why we're even in a second wave when we didn't do anything special . Also Lagos testing positivity without increase in testing . Just so many questions. Unfortunately ncdc, the ptf and other stakeholders don't seem to have grasp of what they're doing . |

CuteTj: I am sure you are not up to 30 years of age & if you are, you are not up to 35 years. So therefore, the chances you are suffering from diabetes, high BP, serious diseases or any middle or old age related ailment is low. Hence your body was able to fight off the covid symptoms without any medication as a result of your balanced immune system normal for your age.
For people that are suffering from the ailments listed above and several other illnesses. If covid manages to infiltrate their bodies, their immune system which is not as strong as yours might not be able to protect their bodies thereby causing death.
Covid in it self is not deadly but when someone with an underlying medical condition contracts it, he/she might not survive it as a result of a weak immune system.
Just because you survived it, majority of Nigerians (Nigeria has a huge young population) survive it doesn't mean it's not deadly. I believe you now have an understanding why you survived it and some might not. No they don't . Keep trying though . |

chachanga: Nice that schools are opening up again but is overloading the session really gonna be helpful on the long run...?
This seems more possible where the emphasis is dumping info on students to "cram" and regurgitate for the sole purpose of passing exams and gathering shitty certs rather than actual capacity building geared at facilitating intellectual development and equipping students for problem solving in real world, industry and business place scenarios.
But who cares....chop, chop work to be done....run along then dears, have at it then Though I'm not from them , i don't think they can strictly stick to the calendar. So many external factors (ASUU, corona) and internally(they really expect everyone to have the same pace for this compressed calendar ). |

ChiefS: The reason Naija cases have no trend is that many of the states are not testing apart from Lagos, Abuja and 2 or 3 other states. Many other states occasionally test few samples which will not show a trend. If you need a trend, isolate Lagos and Abuja and study the trend. and the trend is? Going up? But why is it going up? Or testing went up? Why is it so uneven |
