tooth4tooth: Most of the nurses in our general hospitals lack professional ethics Their negligence and the manner they yell at patients is second to none. The victims of their constant bully understand better. They act as if they are doing the job for free.
Our general hospitals need total overhauling. Most of those canker worms called nurses should be fired. isn't it a private hospital? |

Ddokie: And they are reopening schools. Are these people OK?
You can not beat your chest and say the lockdown didn't help.
Do you know what the level of spread would have been if there was never a lock-down?
Is the rising case of infection and death not because we are operating business as usual?
Corona no dey kill plenty people, but nobody sabi who e go kill.
Activities should be limited to the barest necessities. Offices should run shifts same as markets. Students should stay at home. If they lose one session, e no go kill them. Afterall the average Nigerian graduate stays at home for upwards of 3 years before he gets a job so what is the rush for.
Since the vaccine would be readily available within the next 6 to 12 months, things can be slowed down in anticipation for such a time when most people especially the most vulnerable would have gotten the vaccine.
Life no get duplicate. lockdown didn't really help. We never really had a lockdown, just closed down places our hands could get to. We were barely testing people during that period, filled with directionless policies and full of copy and paste that's still going on now. If we had used the lockdown to increase our capacity × 10 for testing, isolating and treating like some countries did then maybe one would say it was useful but nah as usual Nigeria . A handful of states still didn't have testing facilities, the so called lockdown was partly political with it's legality even questioned. The legality of the lockdown just became muddled with inconsistencies and then it just became clear we didn't know what we were doing. Just reading out what special advisers write down . Lagos could use a proper lockdown rn, but they probably know it's not needed for few reasons and the fact that we just aren't up to the task. |

So many hurdles. I see some reopening and shutting down again. Some are lying to themselves that they're ready. Some are planning full scale resumption . Some are yet to prove ASUU & other stakeholders wrong on reopening. Some might have plans in place but it's going to be flouted as par Nigeria. Then add ASUU, NASU . So who knows, we'll see . |

We can understand schools being reopened. Those kids have been at home for a full session now. But Nysc? What benefit has it done to the youths that makes it more important than being safe from a pandemic on the part of some corp members, it's for the experience and other stuff that go down in camps . I was in Jos for a month late last year and even my aunt that works at the hospital does not understand how the numbers come up, and before you say anything, the hospital is a massive hospital, one of the biggest in the whole state. i agree that our data is so warped. I'm sure they're loads of other people that have also encountered lots of covid patients. All in all people should try and stay safe . |

KillerBeauty: But why should schools remain closed while every other sector of the economy is open. Even US with their high cases and death, the first thing they did last year after the lockdown was open schools. And this is a country where kids can learn virtually oh. Unlike in Nigeria. some reopened September/october only to close down again. While the ones that didn't reopen continued with e-learning. Harvard and Cambridge? even said no physical class till early this year but now they might have to extend that. |

MyOpinion1: I don't know why the government is putting the life of everyone at risk because of the ignorant of some few.. Why returning the children to school amidst the high risk of the second wave... I understand, the govt bowed to pressure because of the demand of people that further lockdown might cripple the economy but then they should have kept the children indoor because they are more vulnerable.. The children are the future, they should be kept safe.. i think at this point it should be about balance. The issue is some schools are lying to themselves about being prepared, aren't planning serious protocols and people(teachers and students) can't help but not comply with them . I hope we don't start seeing mass shutdowns of tertiary institutions but I don't see how that's likely not to happen . |
