Romance › Re: Waiting Until 40 To Have Children? by Sissy3(f): 10:19pm On Jan 20, 2009
no way 4 me, i cant wait jor.

it is either now or never. i want grow old with my kids and not have them be ashmed to call me their mother in front of their friends just cox i'm old.

how is one sure of even having any kids at 40 undecided i mean while it is possible it carries even greater risks for 4 the child and the mom.

You asked Tgirl this question but I'm going to comment from my own perspective.

If I asked my mother why she got married, she would say did it because she wanted to be happy and raise a family with the man she loved. If I ask her if she regrets getting married, she would say she does. 3/4 of her life has been spent serving a man who is not only a useless husband but also an ungrateful tart. I am prolly the only kid who grew up wishing her parents would just get up and divorce the Bleep out of each other.

This has however not changed my views about marriage and the whole enchilada. I still want to get married, you know, its nice to love, be loved and have a stable and happy family unit. But right now, I have SERIOUS commitment issues. I can't even think about marriage, a husband or a family right now. If I decide to remain a single woman for the rest of my life, its my call but I would get married. . . . maybe. undecided
hmmm, spikecyclinder, thats very interesting analysis, but has the relationships between your parents affected your perceptive on marriage, i mean in deciding whether to remain single till now or ? i hope i'm not asking too much.

Family › Re: How Do I Tell My Mother Am A Lesbian by Sissy3(f): 6:27am On Jan 19, 2009
dont tell her, first she is coming 4 medical treatment and this is the last news she wants to hear and it may even give her more high pressure or worst heart attack. so just let her rest maybe if she happens to come back when is recovered then you might tell her. but dnt just dnt do it now abeg cox it is not easy 4 for some folks especially a mother and a nigeria with her culture to hear such news from her daughter she thought would marry prince charming or a rich man however make her get to knw rachael very well and like her cox then whenever u decide to tell her she will not be harsh on her.

Sapphic:
Nigerian mothers can do eye service o. Do not take what she says literally. When the shit hits the fan, her son is her son. As for your husband. You need to understand that the average Nigerian man is used to cheating on his wife and having her turn a blind eye (and in some circumstances, she would even beg hinm to stay into the bargain). Kick the S.O.B. to the kerb. I do not know him personally, but I will wager that he is unlikely to become a model hubby.
