Nigeria has got to an all time low. He doesn't need to tell Nigerians anything. In fact, all he needs to say again is say what made him lose back then and he will win:

Ask me why? APC came in through propaganda. Their all time low is where they have reduced the presidency to a level where presidents don't attend debates anymore. Buhari sent Osinbajo to be debating in 2019 against Atiku's Obi. In 2023, Tinubu talked about teamship and townhall and said emilokan. So what are Nigerians actually voting for?

Atiku snubbed the debate because those he considered his peers were not there. Looking back, this could have been his mistake because he let Obi talk about what they wanted to do but he gave Obi the stage during this campaign due to his pride and this was the last time Obi contested as VP. Maybe if Atiku had taken the time to represent himself and ignore his competitors, this would have made him maintain his momentum. It was after this election they started calling Atiku Dubai Landlord that only comes back after 4 years. Obi took the opportunity from here to build. Osinbajo also tried but his boss was torn between publicly endorsing him, Lawan and Tinubu based on agreement. One of the problems Atiku has is not coming down from his high horse as VP. He still lives in that bubble of bigmanism but between 2007 and 2027, new set of voters have joined that don't care. He still thinks the demography of his voting base is the same as the 90s.

Rufai, these men don't believe in accountability. They believe in grabbing it, snatching it and running away with it. They believe the war chest they have will do the work for them and there is no need to explain anything to Nigerians. This is why Jonathan can win without defending anything. Their jobs are entirely different. It’s just because we’ve mixed everything together in Nigeria that’s why it seems odd to you. For example, Secret service are meant to protect high ranking political officials and nothing more, the military primary job is defending the country against external aggression I.e against other country military. Immigration protects the borders. Police maintain laws and orders in the country with many other special squads including homeland security jobs. At the moment in Nigeria, only civil defense are doing actual homeland security job. Interior office are mostly concerned with internal affairs of a country not basically the internal security of a country. Intelligence have the power to work outside the shores of the country. So only homeland are majorly task with securing the country against internal security risk.
