When they award such contracts, there are terms and within those terms are specific timelines. It is the responsibility of the minister to supervise the job. There absolutely was no oversight, otherwise there would be no need for arresting anyone.

The NASS members who job is oversight at the ministry and its projects also totally failed. That’s not the only failed road in the entire nation.

That particular corridor has been completely messed up since APC assumed power in 2015. Those roads were not in that horrible state before 2015. It was smooth driving from Benin bypass to Onitsha, Benin to Lokoja and Benin to Sapele before 2015. When the roads started damaging, citizens shouted, but APC turned it political.

How many citizens ply the coastal road? When will that road be completed? Even when it is completed, will you abandon Shagamu to Benin or Benin to Onitsha. The idea of the coastal road is acceptable, but fix the existing roads and make them easily usable for citizens. Fix Benin - Okene completely. Fix Okene - Lokoja - Abuja completely and let that Lokoja road connect with Wike’s effort in Abuja. That’s all we ask.

Rather than face the reality, the minister is being heady and demanding a debate with someone far bigger than he is.

This is a very brilliant comment especially when you mentioned the NASS oversight. Many of our institutions have failed and these politicians don't know what's coming for them next year. He helped bring this government he wants to remove to power. He also said he would never be a VP. He thinks we can just forget all those things he did and said just like that.

I also want to remind him that spending 40 years in politics is not an achievement and I will teach you politics style that he had yesterday was nothing but ARROGANCE. This is why we need more debates, they all need to tackle themselves.
