Gajagojo:Thank you, you said Yoruba land. In Igbo land, a brother can marry the wife of his late bro, in Yoruba land, it's taboo. What about that? In Igbo land, it was usually optional, not forced (at least in principle). The woman could sometimes choose which brother, or refuse Today, many Igbo people no longer practice it, especially due to Christianity, education, and modern law. However in Yoruba land, it's traditionally taboo. Why? Brothers are seen as one blood, so taking your brother’s wife is viewed almost like incest. The woman is regarded as having become spiritually linked to the deceased husband. Doing so was believed to bring misfortune or spiritual consequences. So I hope you can see that culture is not just one part and you think the world operates that way. In some parts of Southern Nigeria, the woman is the bread winner, in the North that is abnormal. Even in Yoruba land, that's ewọ! If you are not ignorant of African history, you will know that Ancient Egyptians practised it to keep the dynasty clean just like I put in those videos, if you watched any of them. So much for Mr Enlightened 😏Try to learn more about practises around the world even though it looks abnormal to you. That is the sign of a man that is well learned than one who is myopic and brushes the world with his own color of paint.

ElevationD:The Tinubus will not be the first family that are friends to an Ọba but if that picture to you is okay, I'll save my ink. |
Hellisreal70:The politicians have desecrated the stools. Lagos Ọba is a good example. Dem no born Seyi Tinubu and his lineage well to touch the last Ọba of Lagos that way, and not only do that, but to then post the picture online so we can all see. They know what they are doing. It's soft power to show who is in charge. They have bought all the institutions to challenge them, judiciary, legislature and NGOs. Weaken the Ọba who is not supposed to be partisan so he can support them for election. Clowns in power. Weak men who can't face the electoral population to test their work. Clowns in Agbada and Babariga. Puppets of the colonialsts who first destroyed our traditional system and they continued the legacy. There's only a limited amount of time you can pretend to be who you are not. Those who have collected bribes and money to descreate the stools and the professions they stand for will show themselves in due time because you can't give what you don't have. We know those who use their left hands to point to their father's houses. A Date With Destiny - The Coronation of the Oba of Lagos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQlXkBFWL-M?

2027 politics has started. Let's watch and see. APC is an association of strange bedfellows and if power and sycophants converge, they will sabotage themselves. It's just a matter of time. With the benefit of hindsight, we can now see that APC was only interested in power, not governance. Buhari showed the first sign, now Tinubu is continuing from where he stopped. Man was only interested in calculations and winning. That's why they don't respect PDP. The only power of this man is MONEY, and he knows if he can buy you, you'll sing for him. This is why they can easily buy the PDP politicians. He also does not do things for free. During campaign, many of those who supported him said "I want him because he did XYZ for my family". I then wondered, how low can we get if a public officer can now become a charity home. But am I surprised? He has shown it again now in power because they have brought in bambiala politics to Nigeria so just beg and beg, who statistics epp? Who cares about principles? What's morals? Morals ko, morale ni! If you doubt me, look at the statement the APC Chairman made recently: APC Chairman Declares: Once Appointed, You Are a Politician, Not a Technocrat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ocjp_b3-X0k Does this confirm to you that APC only cares about politics? Tinubu only cares about politics that's why he has been disastrous in governance. That's why you see so many appointments reversed or they recall press releases. He has surrounded himself with yes men. Men whose survival is based on satisfying his ego. You can not succeed with such people. As bad as Obasanjo was, he knew the time for politics and the time for governance and you saw it when he did cabinet reshuffles too. Read the APC chairman's words: “In 2027, as the party chairman, I will stand strong to defend the position that if you are not prepared to join us, you should not be given appointments,” he said. “We encourage and support the members of the political party to be in a position. "If you are a technocrat, go and be a consultant but not take political appointments and not go back to support the party that brought you to power. “If all of the appointees decided to become technocrats, the party will never return back to power. So, there is nothing like technocrats. Them no born PDP well to issue this kind of statement 15 years ago, all hell would be let loose by the hypocrites calling themselves progressive democrats. They were so fine at criticizing but they don't want it now. You can see it with their minions here. They can't encourage any discussion, it's all attack. They defend their party with all their sweat because they are cheap. They have been bought. Men without principles. Party first, country later. Now read all the above and think of how it is connected to Osinbajo who we know is a technocrat. Analysts said it would have made sense if Osinbajo contested but the so-called Kingmaker said he will contest and the 'boy' is a betrayer. But this is a man that they claim built people, he built Lagos. They only deceive themselves when it is convenient. They claimed they need a strong man to deal with the North 🤡 They are full of propaganda. It's all selfishness, none of them care about the nation. That's why the man can come in and change our national anthem and things that bring us together. The guy declared state of emergency all for POLITICS. I am so happy to see a Tinubu as president. All their mystics have been demystified!

wunmi590:Seun was performing alongside his father before he died so its no surprise he had continued with Egypt 80 https://www.tiktok.com/video/7198124876710825258 To say he is just living off his father's glory is like saying Femi or Femi's son are living off Fela's glory. That family is a music family. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsiGsnxEwu8? |
He is also a content creator so I just sit and watch all these people with their drama SixSeven:I will listen to Seun because he continues from where his father stops in regards to the African mind and their concept of culture and traditions. He questions who we are often and only someone who is well cultured will understand what he says. If your mind has been colonized by the East or West, you can't enjoy Seun's thoughts. His father also used music to fight mental slavery and oppression, something he has seen from the Wizkid FC who are only concerned with worshipping money and their demigod, the artiste who dangles money for them not to think and know their self worth. But don't die in their fight. Femi Kuti was the opener in Wizkid's documentary. Yẹni Kuti already said Wizkid used to beg them at the Shrine. They are all in this together. Attention is the currency of entertainment. |
I don't think Seun has a problem with Wizkid but he has a problem with Wizkid FC and what they represent. That's why he put them in the same category with Obidient mob. I admire Obi but I got what he meant by the Obidient mob who don't know how to tolerate other opinion and want to bully you. Whether it's Obidient, Agbadorian or Atikulate, this is what Seun fights. I watch Seun. I don't agree with all he says but I told someone in one of the other threads That a Seun Kuti can talk about contemporary issues in the society because he is an intellectual, that's why he gets interviews with the regular media, not just social media. Even Banky W that brought up Wizkid can talk about governance and societal issues, talk to Wizkid and you have a narrow path than a broad topic. Seun said this and I posted it once: SixSeven:https://www.tiktok.com/video/7595929921923452182 "I can sit here and confidently say Wizkid is the greatest artiste in the world. I can say Wizkid is the greatest artiste of all time... Why must you add 'more than Fela'" I will update this text to compile my thoughts on the issue. |
mascot87:Nigerians don't appreciate his music but trust me, Seun Kuti keeps going to tours in Europe. It's not everyone that likes auto tune and machine music. Some people want natural man made music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxiwTgMgkek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxuXSBiqSaY He is also an intellectual, that's why he can get interviews on TV News stations to talk about contemporary issues. I daresay Wizkid cannot talk about politics and social issues of life. Even Banky W can talk these. |
Imagine dethroning Sanusi and then he runs for (Vice) Presidency ![]() Your number 4 is not correct. It's like saying because the senators and reps left LP, Obi's influence has reduced or PDP has no more power because governors decamped. Do not forget that Kwankwanso also contested in the last election and gave a good show of himself so he can still be a spoiler and no one wants that, both APC and opposition parties. In 2015, Kano helped APC win the Presidency so it's an important state like Rivers. Nothing will happen. 2027 is APC vs the people. |
Jakumo:What you don't |
Uuuju:Mane is a good lad, I'm sure he will accept to keep standing where his elders are. |
BlakKluKluxKlan:I don't blame GEJ for chickening out, in hindsight the weak man now looks strong. We have to give it to APC's strong propaganda machine that made him look so incompetent more than it seemed. Because they knew how powerful propaganda was, they weakened the press, the 4th estate of the realm. I enjoyed APC as opposition because they put pressure on PDP but PDP never had a crisis management if they lost. They only had crisis management if they fought with the likes of Mr Fix It and other elders. PDP managed Nigeria's diversity far far better than APC. Buhari already set the roadmap for Tinubu and true true, Tinubu is only continuing from where he stopped. It's a party that only came to power to defeat PDP and once they achieved that, you can see the cracks in the wall of CPC, nPDP, ACN and APGA alliances. That's why I'm not worried about the Governors moving to APC. That house cannot size them well, they are all moving for power and they will soon quarrel. It's only a matter of time. All parties have failed because none of them have what they stand for, it's all power and politics, nothing to say this is what party A stands for and party B. Until we get to that stage, I don't bother myself with all of them. They are cut from the same cloth, they only have different designers. In fact, Tinubu's coming is a good thing to test our politicians and for me, it will only get worse before it gets better. |
It's funny how they all of a sudden are referring to you as SIR because of the giveaway but when there is nothing at stake, they can insult your father. This is a very interesting social experiment. I am watching. |
Thank God there are trees. Have you asked yourself this question, where are the trees ![]()

OP what course did you read in school? Because you seem to be ashamed of this car wash job and I can't understand why. I don't think you are using your education well. Your mind has been programmed that's why you think it's menial. |
Memberclub:Will you pay him for something else ![]() |
LabStores:We do but that private hospital chose to send theirs to South Africa because they don't do DNA. They could have chosen to send to DNA centers in Nigeria but Na SA dem go so I won't blame Nigeria, na person wey carry matter go private hospital I go ask. I won't be surprised if it's their Indian brothers who ran the test. We can condemn ourselves bad bash Nigeria but we must also choose what we want from the country, whether we love it or not. |
EmperorIsaac:Make una take am easy on this Nigeria sef. Na Nigeria say make e run? Maybe you should read the story. Autopsy or not, a guilty mind fears no accusation. How did you miss this: However, the man reportedly fled the hospital shortly after the doctors pronounced her dead and has remained unreachable since the incident.Do you think the police will not conduct autopsy as part of their investigation Why rush to blame Nigeria? May Nigeria bless you. |
BlakKluKluxKlan:That's good to know. I don't belong to any party as well, I am a political observer. Do I have a candidate as an observer? Oh yes. Anyway I am happy APC got power they wanted badly, at least we can see the best they have to offer. Especially Buhari. Because if he didn't get there, it would have been a story of a messiah who was never given the chance to but do Nigerians learn from history? No. They repeat the same mistakes. I thought Yar'Adua chapter would have taught us some sense but we got comfortable with the Presidency being a health care benefit for the occupant. |
Abdul Rasheed Maina. Father and Son that showed that corruption is not stealing in Nigeria. How do these people sleep well at night? Imagine your father's legacy, chai What is the meaning of Abdul Rasheed? servant of the right-minded It means "servant of the right-minded". Because the letter r is a sun letter, the letter l of the al- is assimilated to it. Thus although the name is written in Arabic with letters corresponding to Abd al-Rashid, the usual pronunciation corresponds to Abd ar-Rashid. |
BlakKluKluxKlan:If APC is not afraid of opposition, they will sit down comfortably without having to prove their might. They already have the power after all. Go back to the threads on this forum around 2007-11, it was the party in power vs opposition. PDP too had their boys here who were always defending the government of the day. I ask a question, why do you think APC talks less about PDP, the party that came second in the last election ![]() You will think that PDP is going to give them headache but we all know what is going on and who's running the water corporation for some taps to give water and some taps will just be dry.
|
APC should be ashamed of themselves if this is confimed to be true. Upon all their democracy campaigns when they were in opposition, just look at them 🤡
|
BlakKluKluxKlan:I blame PDP for failing as opposition. The biggest problem APC has is seeing opposition. The things you accuse others of doing, you do it too. Look into the mirror. |
APC should be ashamed of themselves if this is confimed to be true. Upon all their democracy campaigns when they were in opposition, just look at them 🤡 |
The contrarian effect. This will make the husband pity the girl more. Women don't know men love missions, she just created a new mission for this man. |
ElSudani:He doesn't need to issue the statement as far as I am concerned. People will learn, dem no need to issue public statements for that. Let him conduct himself well, the respect will come. I agree with you, the agbaya are the ones bringing disgrace to the stools and the politicians are not even helping matters, they continued from where the British stopped. How do these so-called elders now want to say the young ones are rude and uncultured when they themselves have behaved worse. Respect is earned, not demanded. |
ElSudani:Unfortunately most of the monarchs today have desecrated the stools. For me, he did not need to give that public notice. The people will learn with how he responds, not the statements he issues. |
