Just can't wait for Cuba to get out of this unfair sanction / Embargo placed on it by the US, if Cuba is using crypto officially, they can trade with it, America will then resort to piracy lol, trying to stop those shipment of certain goods grin, that would be funny

Are you saying Ibos dominate oil producing region or something? just trying to clarify, you mentioned oil

Illumined939:
The oil from Niger-Delta will not allow it stop. The igbos said they no longer want in on the union called Nigeria, but some other people with no drop of oil on their land, nor a seaport, but who head both Nnpc and Npa, said the igbos must stay in this union by fire by force. Making it seem like the igbos are slaves with no privilege to have a say on their collective destiny. We will see how it ends.

Bro, don't make it about me, my point is, don't fall for the mirage of some true democracy in America, that's a fantasy, doesn't exit.
take the train early in the morning and see how homeless Americans have turned the trains here into homeless shelters, yet most people would think it's all riches, nope, just a country where everyone live on borrowed money.
there are good and bad to the US, that's my point, I'm not saying it's all evil or perfect, I'm saying don't idolize US, even tons of Americans don't.
And trump rooted out? you understand over 70 million people voted for him right? that tells you something, doesn't it. And that vote for him even set a record
I'm the first that will tell you nigeria is failing, so not blindly taking sides, i don't do that.
Come here and ask Americans whose rights and freedoms have been violated by those in power, how is that democracy working out then.
What is your definition of a democracy and what should the people expect from it? When you list those expectations, i will tell you which ones don't exit, even here in the US

demolition:

You don't see anything wrong but you're chilling in the same us probably earning a hundred grand + per year.

I bet no amount of money would make you comeback and live in Nigeria with the current setuation.

When you elect leaders you atleast expect them to act the part even if they have monsters living in the dungeons they call a heart.

You currently enjoy no man's land because they are checks and balances, something you need to be privileged to be able to enjoy in your mother land.

Trump was rooted out like a plague because you knew why and if you was eligible to vote you probably voted against him for your own good because his stupidity could burn you directly. [b]

You broke the chain and left like a bunch of others because you probably can't stand making money and that money lose its value by the minute in your damn pocket.

You probably can buy a brand new card with your debit card while your brother's in your mother land can't even spend more than $100 a month internationally with their debit card.
How do you expect them to make money when they can't even spend money.

Nigeria has the best talents I've ever seen for an upcoming country yet the stupid ones always find their way to power.

The main point of that video was to show you how a president is supposed to talk and act. Once you are in that office it's game on and you need to roll up your sleeves and work it.

Your president cannot look you in the face and tell you what he was elected to do.
Hell I bet he doesn't even know the model of his official car.

And here you are giving me instances about America when you know deep down that you've never been in a more secure environment.

Happy democracy day.
Enjoy it. It's what you seek hence why you are there.

No mind them, these fvkers now suddenly remember China isn't a democracy and now want to form a coalition of democratic countries to counter China, isn't that funny, they didn't remember they aren't a democracy while their corporations were pouring billions into China and making a killing.
It's just US's insecurity, they know they can't compete with China one and one, now they doing around trying to turn every major country against china, in other words, to try to stop China's rise so America won't be surpassed.
All of a sudden now they want to copy China's belt and road initiative? why not do that 10yrs ago or 20yrs ago. Silly people.
No country should have monopoly of power. US is busy have military drills in China and Iran's backyard, but are making threats over two Iranian ships coming their way to probably Venezuela .
What i'm wondering is, if all countries, especially developing countries start using crypto and bypass fiat currency, that should render the US dollars useless a bit and America's ability to sanction weakened

True democracy? In a country that just had an insurrection at it's capitol? pls, no such thing as true democracy, do you know how bad cops harrass people over here? Or the fact that a governor says it's not his priority after an innocent black man has been rotting in prison for 40yrs and still refused to sign his release papers? don't even go there. what real democracy, the fvkers in the US are just as bad, they simply know how to hide it.
Do you know that cops can break into your home and claim to have warrants to search your home while refusing to give you the warrant to see? This was recorded by the home owner, turns out they were even in the wrong home to begin with.
Or unidentified security operatives kidnaping American citizens off the street ( during protest) in unmarked vehicles without identifying themselves, which is illegal.
If that happen in Nigeria, una go dey complain and blame buhari.
A democracy where their politicians are more partisan than ever, rendering the country paralyzed.
Donald Trump showed us that Americans, at least over 30% are more open to have a dictator , ain't no such thing as a true democracy here.
If not for a strong institution, the democracy would have failed by now.
Obama isn't the nicest person either, we don't know these people, they act nice and decent in public, but their true colors are shown behind closed doors, don't forget that.
And the way those two relate with each other, is more cultural than anything that has to do with democracy

Watch to the end. You'll see true democracy

anyone with common sense gets what he meant. road and rail should link us all together within West Africa, and if financially feasible the entire continent. makes it easier for people and goods to get to their destination.

From what I can deduce from what he said(which I'm sure everybody thinks fairly would agree) Africa and Africans have locked ourselves out for far too long.

Barriers that didn't exist 200 years ago exist today because of the scourge of colonization.

We trade more with Europe and Southeast Asia than amongst ourselves.

Rectifying that oddity would help fasten economic integration, and provide the jobs that our populations desperately need.

The Lagos - Kano, Lagos - Calabar, Warri - Kano projects etc are all part of a wider project, the National railway plan, they are only carried out in sections because of the paucity of funds

The U.S. Department of State condemned Nigeria's Twitter ban and its threat to arrest and prosecute Nigerians found using the app in a statement Thursday, saying the policy "has no place in a democracy."

Why it matters: The department requested that Nigeria's government respect its citizens’ right to freedom of expression and reverse the ban on the social media platform, which has been extremely popular in Africa's most populous nation.

Stay on top of the latest market trends and economic insights with Axios Markets. Subscribe for free

Context: The country banned the platform after Twitter temporarily froze Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari's account for violating its "abusive behavior" policy.

Nigeria's attorney general and minister of justice also directed the country's communications regulator and federal prosecutors over the weekend to start charging and arresting people who circumvent the ban through virtual private networks.

Twitter and other platforms are routinely used by citizens around the world to voice their dissent or concerns to their governments.

What they're saying: "Unduly restricting the ability of Nigerians to report, gather, and disseminate opinions and information has no place in a democracy," Ned Price, a spokesperson for the State Department, said.

"Freedom of expression and access to information both online and offline are foundational to prosperous and secure democratic societies," he added.

"We support Nigeria as it works towards unity, peace, and prosperity. As its partner, we call on the government to respect its citizens’ right to freedom of expression by reversing this suspension."

i guess the fg could have bought the bad debts the banks were holding etc and merge the banks with those with stronger portfolio

DubaiLandLord:
You don't understand me. We will print the Naira to safe banks like Oceanic bank that collapse. Example, if Oceanic bank need #10b to survive, the government can just print #10b and hand it over to Oceanic bank after sacking the management and prosecuting them.

I believe a man like Oba otudeko should be prosecuted and he should serve a long jail term with the nonsense he was doing in First Bank before the CBN came in few weeks ago.

if we do that, we would be looking at high inflation and our currency will become worthless. like in Zimbabwe grin

DubaiLandLord:
I dey always wander something. The likes of Oceanic and bank PHB etc wey crash because of bad debts etc Why can't the FG give the banks the billions of naira dey need by printing huh The money printed will be giving to the bank to pay salaries, loan out to farmers, entrepreneurs etc

That's what i said chief. there's always balance due, but majority of the money owed is there. America's debt wont go down because they aren't earning enough to fund the country anymore. so it will always borrow, but it also has good credit rating. which was what i said. you pay whatever balance is due. which is why Nigeria need to work on its income generating capacity and tax base etc.
with househd total networth in the US at over 90 trillion dollars, guess they can afford it, all they gotta do is tax their people more. that's why i said Nigeria need to up its game. we are saying thesame thing
For every dollar spent in the US, they borrow a percentage of it, can't remember the amount, i think btw 5 and 25 cent or so. which is like 1 Naira to 5 or 25 kobo

Whyem15:
I still maintain that no one will borrow anyone money if they are aware you won't be able to pay it back. US debt is over $21 trillion, trust me they've paid at least 2 times that amount already via debt servicing.
At some point, those who own the debts will decide to forgive it, only after you've paid back more than the original amount in interest and not before. No one is really stupid to do that you know.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 4:16pm On Jun 10, 2021
That's why basic test should be administered before they are accepted into the training program, aka Academy.
This way you weed out those without basic qualities. The rest is simply training and basic understanding of the law as regards to law enforcement a d rights of the civilians you encounter on the job everyday

GeneralFarouq:
Am not asking for a degree, just an advancement in education criteria.
The secondary school graduate we have in some states equal illetrracy... State Education are so poor in some state that u wonder if a person who claims to be a graduate even evr attended one...
I think one fundamental problem is illiteracy, when u have lots of officers in police force who can't read and write, how do we then expect them to grapple with teachings of basic fundamental human right and enforcement..
Advancing to diplomas, and equivalent will increase the standard of education, literacy and even basic thinking and understanding within the police force...
Then one thing I want to draw ur attention too is environment...
You cant compare a city goat to village goat... This another way of saying... An iaverage lliterate in the western religion is in a better position than one here in the North.. when u take the western region sophistication into account.. Even pidgin most illrtrate here can't speak...
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 4:03pm On Jun 10, 2021
well the debt those countries owe keep rising, they aren't paying anything back lol, maybe only the interest amd minimum due, same way we little people pay off our credit cards.
you're telling me America is going to pay back over 14 trillion? sheet, won't happen. Those countries have good Fiscal policies, robust tax base etc, and good credit rating.
apart from the govt, we regular people here also use credit score for everything, my own score is 710 for example lol, which means with good income i can approach a bank and get a loan to buy a house or car etc.
even to rent an Apartment here, you must have a credit of over 680 in new york, minimum. otherwise no one will rent to you.
so if Nigeria have a robust tax base, generate good income and have good credit rating administered by international financial institutions, and strong Fiscal policies in place, we can borrow more

Whyem15:
These countries have meaningful plans to repay the loans before they borrow. In fact no one will borrow you money that they know you can't pay back. The little Nigeria has borrowed, we are still thinking of how to repay. How then are we going to be able to repay more than the current debt?

The problem is revenue generation. Nigeria has one of the most least revenue:GDP ratio in the world. How do we increase this revenue before we even start thinking of borrowing more.

In addition, we have billions of dollars in stolen funds all over the world. How can we get these money back.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 3:57pm On Jun 10, 2021
No, just local police, but here we also have sheriffs, but i rarely see those, we don't have a sheriff's office here in the city, I'm guessing they belong to small towns in upstate new york. they are rare within the 5 boroughs of New york city

Whyem15:
Sheriffs right? County police.
That should be the equivalent of policing at the local government level.

Iran sends warships to Atlantic amid Venezuela concerns

wouldn't it be funy if these ships get stranded at sea and US had to help Iran tow them lol. that would be embarrassing
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Sizzorkay: 2:55pm On Jun 10, 2021
why? here in the US they still have highly disciplined cops and well respected, and high school diploma is the minimum in most depts. all they need to learn are taught to them in the academy, then they join the force as a rookie assigned to seasoned police officers who also teach them. Its all about the quality of discipline and training, higher level academic certification not needed to be an effective police officer, but i suppose its better grin
so i say if we can get cops with higher degrees, sure, but what if we couldn't get enough, so those with high school diploma should be given a chance too

GeneralFarouq:
Secondly, Nigeria is beyond the level of employing school certificate as policeman.. we should up the standard to ND Hnd , diplomas and degrees
