I know right, non-military nairalanders talking as if they know better than those who do this for a living, with decades of experience. Yawn GreenOris: |
They probably should have divided that country, gives you a smaller territory to defend, and those who want to live in a strict islamic society can do so with their taliban, the rest can live in a free society, makes the job easier, better than a total loss. |
when people say afghans support the taliban, they simply meant they still have support among the masses, doesn't mean the entire population. We just don't often make that distinction, but it should be obvious. youghs: |
Do you have any idea how much excess arm the US has? They simply have no use for whatever was left over, that's how the rich do it lol, the headache of having to transport those out, probably not worth it to them. And the Afghans can't also say they weren't left with nothing, except they failed to make use of what was left to them. It can be argued many ways, once again, i feel bad for the women and girls in that country. slimthugchimee2: |
Which Generals? There's no more President, those Generals are already in charge and they can't do sh!t, US secretary of defense already said they couldn't force the Afghans to have the will to fight, which was what i said before, most don't wanna fight, and the US doesn't trust them much either, which will explain why they aren't that ready for this youghs: |
You think they were being released? i doubt that, and that would be foolish. So yea i think they are in custody GeneralFarouq: |
To what end? that war isn't being prosecuted using water. If you can't achieve something after 20yrs, why continue wasting resources. America can't be there forever, i totally support the pull out, there is nothing to show for the last 20yrs, what's the point GeneralFarouq: |
You have a tendency of not understanding what you read, i talked about Iran not doing America's bidding because you brought it up, or you already forgot that? Iran's govt will face their people and explain that away how? Now deal behind closed doors, maybe, but with the issues btw both countries, i don't see Iran fighting the taliban unprovoked, and at the behest of the US govt, like you said. You said this, not me, and I'm telling you that's not gonna happen. Biden is not going to motivate Iran to fight the Talibans, simple as that, forget that wet dream. I want the Taliban gone for one simple reason, how they treat the women there, other than that, i could care less Faithful007: |
you missed the part where i talked about the hell Afghan women are about to go through at the hands of the Taliban, how dare you accuse me of having sympathy for a vicious barbaric group? Are you high? learn to read and comprehend what's right in front of you. Iran will wage war against the Taliban at the behest of the US government? haha, lord have mercy, do you read the rubbish you type? Iran will waste her resources on a project that America failed at? The same Iran that is an enemy of the US, how would they explain this to their population? Iran will never attack the Taliban unless they attack Iran's interest, and before that even happens, they would have come to an understanding. No amount of enticement would prompt Iran to do America's bidding. jeez Don't ever again accuse me of having sympathy for a jihadist group, i don't give a damn about Afghanistan, only pity the women there. And why don't we stay on topic of the thread Faithful007: |
Now stop derailing. |
US military never trusted the Afghan military, because a lot of them either fear the taliban or have sympathy for them. You can't force people to fight and believe in what they don't want to accept, some probably enlisted just for the pay check. After 20yrs of US presence, Afghanistan should have a formidable Army, but i don't think the US gave them all the tools they need to do the job, and that could be due to that lack of trust. For the US to still be giving them air cover, has anyone asked where are their jets etc? And the pilots? Did the US even give them any Jet ( not that it matters, but it's still an asset). Taliban did all these by road, yet they were allowed such movement, this was nothing but a coup. America got tired, simple as that. If US want to destroy the Taliban, it won't take a week, but they will have to destroy the whole country in the process. The talibans should be studied, their rate of movement was something else. And to those saying it's okay for them to now rule, if you are a female in that country, you won't think that way, those poor women are about to start a very sad journey to hell. Now in areas already taken, women can no longer go out without a male escort, it's just getting started. And Taliban have no interest in supporting terror groups anywhere, at least that's what i believe, so forget about them helping terrorists in Africa, i doubt that will happen |
What's the alternative though?, once they've laid down their weapons, we can either reform them or jail them, that's sadly all we can do. their leaders in cases like this are the priority, those can be hanged .And ppl like these should be placed on life time parole, they as much as jaywalk, they go to jail, but we hardly have the infrastructure in place for such monitoring willybaby: |
See this silly guy, just jumping to conclusions up and down, lol, random person, in my world, you are irrelevant, hey give the man some pako to chew on, that's a thing too no? no shoes, with pako in his mouth, now that's a pic to frame. You seem pained, I'm typing in English, as do you, yet I'm a Western worshipper? See how daft you are. I was born and raised in that same Nigeria, but i won't curse you in Yoruba, no point. Kid, you got my attention for 2 mins, i don't do groupies and ain't got no social media you can follow, now kindly fvk off and have yourself a wonderful drug free day. I guess having our kids running around butt naked is also cultural?, get the fvk outta here boy. Up your standards, perhaps we might actually get a little bit of respect around the world, decency matters, and we can practice our believes in a more dignifying ways, there are a million ways we can preserve our cultures without doing things so low level., a governor during an official visit is without shoes, while meeting with a victim of terrorism, and you are telling me that's okay, well it's not. Look at a picture of Buhari in his residence also without shoes, pictures like that shouldn't get out or ever taken. There is another culture out there on the continent where young boys consume semen of Adult men, which is like their own right of passage from being to boy and becoming men, is that also another culture we should respect, or is that not some disgusting sh!t. Bottom line, let's evolve how we do things while preserving our cultures, both can coexist, or get stuck in the stone age, all good But hey, my 2 cents, my bad if that hurt your precious feelings. Indigenous culture, really? . my bad Bye now. WoeBetide666: |
Coming from a totally random stranger who wrote to me in English Language. What does that make you? I swear, you can't make this sh!t up. Stay off drugs, you goat WoeBetide666: |
yea, it can be a drag, i'd put in what i don't mind losing and forget it, surprises do happen. Odunayaw: |
nope, lol. and it's only a few days old. carries a risk as usual, but the creator is visible and working hard Odunayaw: |
Right? the guy just came from nowhere with disrespect, if he had said "Guys don't derail the thread", i would have said "My bad" and move on. If not for Toju who quoted me, intention was to leave that one post. why do people just feel the need to be arrogant and disrespectful. He wants to compare one "off topic" post to Dubai who post multiple unrelated posts daily, how silly. Anyways, looks like my ban has been lifted, I've served my time. "Sizzorchan" is now retired ![]() GeneralFarouq: |
This should be a great opportunity for the govt if they are smart. take advantage of this bidexiii: |
oga sir, no now, my comment was directed at the other dude lol. i just mashed my response to him and you into one comment lol. sorry for the confusion. Na the man wey dey always fault Buhari for lack of rain or too much sunshine i dey talk to ![]() SamuelAnyawu: |
The daft aspect to this is some people actually believe it was Buhari who gave the money to this guy, like really? where is the proof that Buhari met or know this person? Presidents have staff and cabinet members for a reason, among hosts of others. everything that goes wrong, it's Buhari. Oga your disdain and bias for the man is apparent. So Buhari gave money to this man to steal, then sent EFCC after him? now how does that make sense SamuelAnyawu: |
Nigeria doesn't have the capacity to control illicit weapons from coming in. they could try, but it will barely make a dent. besides there are already tons of illegal weapons in the hands of criminals as it is. It's not an easy task to do. requires logistics, lots of money and personnel that are actually trustworthy |
i know right Odunayaw: |
Saudi Arabia executes 26-year-old man for protesting against the government when he was a teen, human rights groups say See how Europe and the US/Canada were silent on this. but god forbid we ban twitter, it's the end of the world. They will now probably get a few more Apaches in return ![]() |
Thought i was the only one sensing the tone , like what the fvk? Are we supposed to say thank you because blood thirsty murderers released their kidnapped victims? damn Xbee007: |
https://www.yahoo.com/news/top-justice-department-officials-sessions-112544988.html Now imagine if this was in Nigeria. true democracy my rear |
