If my mum or family members purchase something from my wife and my wife refuses to collect money from them, I'd pay her from my own pocket. It is not because of respect, it is because it is business and not charity. Nothing kills a business faster than using that model. I once had an aunt who said I could come to her restaurant to eat. Me wey proud like peacock, I no go there except I get money to pay. Even if she see me there and say make I no pay, I go hide pay. She still respects me.

DC's idea of a multiverse does not stem from time travel just some theory's in physics about parallel universe's if you watched the man in the high castle, you would understand it.

I would think the DC time-travelling concept is more linear in concept, that is, a straight line time. The Marvel concept is more non-linear but it also explores linear concepts within a single timeline. I am also trying to picture the new DC series, "The Watchmen" through the eyes of Dr Manhattan... Lol

i really cant comment on 12 monkeys cus I watched only two eps of it, but yes DC is Linear and will always remain linear, while marvel starts up being linear and begin to branche as changes goes on.

Just read Doomsday clock, Crisis on infinite earths or Flashpoint etc and you would get it...

have seen flash point and even All this u mention am a big DC fan I grew up with DC. But still is still one straightline timeline and still happen in one universe from my own understanding o.

Picture time as in being in a straight line, for DC change in event in the past changes the future but it's still that same straight timeline, no branches, he runs back to the Future which was his original timeline and saw that saving his mom had changed alot of things.

But marvel every change in even causes a branch from that straight line, keeping that current timeline intact but only creating a branch timeline, hence their concept of multiverse.


DC just seem to just create a multiverse out of nothing and call is earth (number) and then create a version of the original timeline line which isn't exactly the same as the original e.g black carnery is a killer in earth 100 but a hero in earth one, same way Harrison Wells is a scientist in one earth but a musician in another earth. They just create alternate version of characters and dump them in a different universe AKA earth (number) flash earth doesn't have Superman or super girl but another earth does.

But in Marvel's concept every universe have same sets of characters.

lol I was gonna mention agent of shield in my previous comment, just felt will be going too far. Agent is shield is marvel, so they use the marvel concept.

And this one proven In a season finale of I think season 5 or 6, where flitz in that currently timeline died from a collapse roof, and they said only the flitz of that timeline died and there was another flitz in space which jema later found.

Just like when the director's parent was killed in this season 7 and turned to robot, the director still exist and they later understood they came from a timeline when all this didn't happen..

The truth is marvel too an easy way out of timeline butterfly headache. With their concept they will have fewer plot holes and have less headache thinking if stuffs that will change just by tampering with the past.

Unlike DC that will always have to think and figure out all the changes that will happen in the future for every change in the past, so DC will tend to have more plots holes unlike marvel.

And so far it's only marvel I am seeing using that there concept, most movies usually goes with the DC concept which I believe made for sense.

But looking at Marvel's concept it's just crazy, picture it like this, u need to go for a job offer, there is a timeline where u went for it, there is another where u didnt go for it, there is a timeline where u went for it but took a bus to the location and there is a timeline where u went but took a train, meaning there is just infinite time of every decision u made and didn't made. It's crazy. Hence the marvel multiverse.

I disagree. Timelines are created when you change something in the past. That's why you have the Sparrow's Academy at the end of Season 2.

ok the way I see it, there are two types of time concept so far in movies.

One a change in the past always have an after effect. In this type of time there is only one time line, anything u do in the past will definitely affect the future, so u go to the past and kill ur younger self u seize to exist. This is typically the DC concept.

While the second time concept is, everything u do in the past doesn't affect the future or current timeline instead the changes just create a different timeline, e.g u go to the past and kill urself ur current self will still exist meaning u belong to a timeline where past self exist and a new time where u don't or won't exist in the future has just being created. This to my understanding is the marvel concept.

Now the umbrella academy uses the DC concept, they tampering with the past was what caused the change in the future hence the sparrow academy. If it was the marvel.concept that won't have happened.

If u remember one ep of the series they specifically said killing the younger 5 will make him seize to exist
