Mvnster:For the fact that I know a lot about schizophrenia excludes me as a patient . The phenomenon of awareness in psychiatry is called congruence. In other words, a person who exhibits good balance in judgment. Unfortunately, it’s quite different from your condition. You are unaware of yourself and your mental status. A typical inclusion criteria in suspected schizophrenia . The more you talk, you reveal a lot unknowingly. Where did you get the information about the intervention you prescribed? |
2mch:What do you think it would takes to set up a pseudo manufacturing company in a country like Nigeria. Very little. There are medications you could manufacture genuinely on a low scale. Drugs like mist mag, liquid paraffin, mist kaolin, penicillin ointments, powered actemorohines etc could be manufactured at very low scale production. Why do I say this? Anyone who really wants to get a manufacturing license could set up such low scale production just to be considered a manufacturer. These bad actors are very rich. Money to set up such low key production wouldn’t be a problem. |
He had a deceitful heart . God cannot be mocked. God sees beyond our outward acts. |
Mvnster:When you read meaning into an unrelated issue, and draw conclusions from limited understanding of a person or an issue, it is called poor judgment in psychiatry. A precursor for certain class of schizophrenic disorder. |
Mvnster:No one in your entire generation can talk when I talk. It’s just social media that has created room for this type of interaction, and it unfortunate. |
2mch:A few things that need clarification 1) Every company in the business of manufacturing drugs is supervised by a Pharmacist by law. You cannot and you are not allowed to manufacture drugs without having an on site supervising pharmacist. 2 ) Every pharmacy retail outlet is also supervised by a pharmacist. 3) The above two pharmacist have equal qualification and are meant to be held equally accountable for every conduct under their watch. 4) individuals do not have the ability to import drugs in Nigeria. Instead a cooperate entity in the form of a pharmaceutical company ( incorporated under CAC) does. 5) When import of drug is made, a licensed is attached to it. 6) That pharmacist whose license is attached to that import should be solely responsible for the standard and veracity of the product. Now, how do you know who let an undeclared consignment in when there are no documents anywhere? It’s impossible. |
Mvnster:This discussion is beyond what you can contribute. It’s not everything you should choke your mouth in. Again, has wines and drinks got to do with the topic? When you are not able to stick to a discussion topic , there is a name for it in psychiatry. It is called intellectual disability. |
2mch:Biomedical is an entirely different body of knowledge. The right people to safe the industry are pharmacists. In Nigeria we have the Pharmacy Council. But because the regulations are not stringent, the pharmacists are not doing what they are trained to do. Any practicing pharmacists whose license is used to import fake drugs should loss his license to practice. They are called supervising Pharmacists for a reason. Any pharmacists who is responsible for any pharmacy where fake drugs is found should loss his license. Those are ethical obligations required to safeguard the public. Secondly, there is nowhere to know who allowed what medications through the port of entry. These products are usually not declared and most times, they are concealed ( albeit in plain sight). It then begs the question, why will anyone allow such through the port? Official are often compromised. How did over 10 trucks load of fake medicine pass through the ports without anyones knowing about it? |
2mch:The laws and regulations are there. It’s not everyone that is allowed to import medications. First they must have a fully registered pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist. Secondly the medication must have NAFDAC number. However, the problem is mostly enforcement at the ports. At every port, there are customs and NAFDAC officials who are stationed for inspection of every shipment. What do they do? They turn blind eyes and allow everything in, as long as “the price good”. That is why you see most customs including the junior ranks building hotels everywhere. |
Mvnster:You well at all? This post in its entirety is about NAFDAC raiding a popular drug market in Anambra Yet, you want to start talking off point about drinks, apple and baseball. You have very low IQ and lack simple reading skills / comprehension. And while you are at it, I challenge you to point out one place in all my post here where I made mention of changing expiration date. |
APCHaram:Free your mind from bias and read my comments solely for exposition. |
Guestmale:It’s not a defense. Don’t make it one. My comment is solely an exposition. I have no dog in the fight. |
masseratti:I am not here to discuss the criminality of the act. I am not here to even address the morality of it. Those would be points for different discussion. The purpose of my posts is mainly exposition. In other words, to let people know what is happening and for them to make the moral judgment themselves. I have not dog in the fight. If I may ask, “hear myself” what? For shading light on these obscured activities and bringing more awareness to it? |
masseratti:Oga there is a lot you don’t know. I am talking about same product, same brand and exactly same look. Not generics. The address on the container is often wiped and restamped. It is a very marginal business that relies on volume. |
chidiokay:Unfortunately, you are talking about about an ideal legal position. But that is the the reality of the country you lived in. Once they is monetary incentive, the norm hardly hold. Let me shock with a little common occurrence. What most of these trader do is a kind of arbitrage. The scout for where these products are cheaper globally. They take advantage of these differences and make money. The difference could be up to 50% sometimes. Same product but without NAFDAC number. |
APCHaram:Ignorance is bliss. Almost all of those fake drugs in Nigeria are manufactured abroad . They are all imported mostly from Asian. The code name for those in the market is Paki, short for Pakistan. They all pass through corrupt officials into the country. Know this and know the truth about your country. |
masseratti:No matter how much you have, there is nowhere you can get more than one NAFDAC number on an existing product. You are reading my expos-ire with prejudice, reason why you would think it defensive. I have no dog in the fight. I only commenting based on what I know. If not for anything, my comment Would help NAFDAC to understand some of the root cause of the problem, and maybe make them channel resources accordingly. The Raid insecticide you are talking about, if you go to just nearby Ghana, you will still find the same raid original Raid of the same packaging produced by the same Company but without NAFADAC number. Same with Maggi cube, milo chocolate etc. Does that make those ones fake? I laughed at your ignorance when you said “ compared to Customs charges “ Do you think official customs duty is paid on that foreign version? No. They only settle individual customs with peanuts just to let their goods in. |
chidiokay:Having billions is not the issue. Let me explain ( I know say I go explain tire). What most business people in the market do is to ride on the back of established brands and make more money. This is how it works. A lot of foreign manufacturers of popular medication brands have NAFDAC number on paper but they do not have existence or production in Nigeria or even distributors. This could be due to the challenges of running a successful organized business in Nigeria. Remember, these products are already popular in Nigeria, so there is no issue with consumers accepting them. An Igbo business man would then approach a third party in the foreign country where the medication is still manufactured. Remember, the foreign version in the same packaging of the medication won’t have NAFDAC number because it is not a requirement over there. Then, somehow they successfully import these foreign versions into Nigeria but this are now term fake. The reason they are considered fake and rightly so is because there is an existing NAFDAC number for that product in Nigeria. However, the Nigeria version is not available anywhere. Another thing some of the traders do is that they also knowingly import the foreign version even when the Nigeria version is still available. This practice cause undue competition with the local version, and results in lost of revenue for the original Nigeria company. In fact, some of the market raids are sponsored by companies that have experienced this issues. Note, there are also the very bad actors. These ones deliberately go all out to import very fake counterfeit versions mostly from Asia. These are the very bad heartless actors . In most markets, even their own union are against the last group. They do confiscate the fake products and sanction such individuals. But when it comes to NAFDAC raid, every one is a suspect. |
Mvnster:But there is some truth in what he said. Some medications that do not have alternatives and are not produced in Nigeria could be misconstrued as fake. The reason they come in without approval is because there is very marginal incentive in obtaining NAFDAC number for those. Sellers do not want to go through that expensive process. In addition, the original manufacturer might not have interest in Nigeria market and is too occupied to care about about foreign distributorship. Mostly they originate from Western Countries. All these do not negate the fact that people still need those type of medications in Nigeria. Typical, what small business people do is that get those medications through a third party abroad, and import them across to Nigeria. It not does not make the medications fake, just that there is no NAFDAC number on them. But doing so is a valuation of Nigeria law. NAFDAC has every right to impound the medications. But they never do at the port of entry. So the medications end up in the market. As a warning, there are a lot that are fake without NAFDAC numbers. Mostly, those are from Asian countries, India, China, Pakistan. |
lwisee:NAFDAC does not certify pharmacy but Pharmacist council of Nigeria does. The role of NAFDAC among other things is to ensure that medications are approved and authentic. In other words, that medications do what they claim in their original consistency. Then, they are allowed to go into the market ( approved pharmacy) for consumers. Ideally, some categories of medicine must be supervised by a pharmacist before they get to patients. The exception being Over the Counter (OTC) medications. |
Kewekubosineh:Don’t mind them. That is the Forty Acres and a Mule mentality they had before voting nonsense. |
Just that they are working with availability resources but there are actually some hoyer lifts that can carry up to 660lbs. Those would be more functional and provide some decency to the patient. |
madridguy:Learn from history. How is what you are prescribing different from what Ojukwu did? Nothing can change the gang up against the Igbos in Nigeria. Even if Kanu decides to join APC tomorrow, he will still be disgraced like they recently did to Amechi. |
The story lacks details. |

By 2027, only native doctors would be left. Elections have consequences. |
Don’t they like their BRICS fellows anymore. Why run to US when they could have gone to China or Russia. |
You guys should know that plaiting of hair is just cultural and has no known root in the Bible or Christianity. There is no verse in the Bible that specifically talked about plaiting of hair. The only place that is close to that is where the Bible says men should not put on things that belong to a woman, and women are expected to follow the same rule . However what pertains to woman covers a lot in many different cultures. And they could greatly differ. In Scotland cultural attire, men wear skirt, also in many African cultures men tie wrappers. Even, in most western cultures women wear trousers (pair of pants) . We can’t say they are all wrong. God is not an author of confusion. Now what pertains to a man or woman could actually mean a piece of clothing or in this case, a hair piece that was previously worn by a man or woman. For instance, that verse in the Bible could be talking about to avoid putting on your brothers’ or your husband or male relatives clothing if you are a female.

JetStar:Let me ask you If you borrow someone gun to go rob, and he is caught, don’t you think you would be charged with accessory to a crime? Same here, if a woman knowing fully well that she is not ovulating, allows a man to release into her, she would be charged with accessory to a crime as well. |
helinues:And this is somebody’s Uncle. |
It’s not everyone you see that you should pardon as a governor. The problem with Nigeria is that we don’t follow procedures. Pardon should be by recommendation of parole officers. The inmate must exhibit good observable behavior before they are recommended for pardon. |
