Hi Guys, please can anyone point me to a thread or any resources that explains and shows the process of building a bungalow? From foundation to roofing step by step process on best practices and materials to use. I don't mind buying a book if there is one available. I am building my first house and I want to make sure I do everything right and not rely blindly on contractors.

Go to one of the threads by Spyder880 here on Nairaland. Look at the different houses he had completed ( bungalow, duplex , mansions etc) and read through the thread from page 1 .
You would gain knowledge and inspiration.
You can even ask him direct questions.

No matter the type of bush, 2 guys with cutlass will clear it with hightest 100k . Is it not just one plot of land? Except there are trees . Which could be charged per tree to uproot.

If you bought an old used Corolla for $1k (#1.6m) from US. Assuming can even find one at that price. Auction fee alone and towing from auction ground might cost up to $800.

Fix it for additional #300k ( battery, tire and oil change and breaks )

Imagine digging just foundation of a 3 bedroom for #700k . Who does that?

Although kidney transplant has some connections with urology, however it should be under nephrology department.

That house only needs a few TLC . I don’t know why people can’t do simple maintenance.
Just a few plastering here and there and painting. Then call an electrician to tidy the wiring before renting it out.

There was a similar situation of extended family rivalry back in the days. These two families had their houses side by side. Nigerians should be informed enough not to encourage or buy into these type of deceptions and impunities. The problem of gambling addiction not only affects the concerned individuals but it creates general societal problems for everyone. Stealing to fund the addiction, laziness, strain on family and relationships are some examples.

There are many ways a company can own and shoulder responsibility for societal problems which they have greatly contributed to. In the case of gambling addiction like sport betting , a company can take these steps.

A company could pledge to donate a percentage of their profit towards rehabilitation of the affected population .
The government can mandate a certain percentage of the companies revenue to be used for compensation, rehabilitation and treatment of addicted individuals.

Companies could build skills and job training center at hotspots where there are many betters.
Company could make investments in building software that can track , identify and prevent addictive customers from using their system for betting.
Companies could also train their employees to know their customers and look out for addictive patterns in their transactions.

All these things are possible. Productive youths are blessing to any country.
