what did you watch that match with? radio or gpshuh or you must have been sleeping if truly you watched it on the tv
Olaolufred:
skyranger, I did not watch the france match.
But, did i hear you say Siasia was part of the Technical crew for the match?
apologies, i didn't remember i had to explain simple literary expression to your feeble minds,
Siasia was at one of our local stations running sport analysis during the match.
let me just break it down for both of you, my statement was a metaphor for the fact that the boys that delivered that match to us, aside a few exceptions were Siasia groomed boys and they were playing like he was right there in that pitch with them.
what technical input would you say Amodu can make in an international friendly match of that magnitude?
Siasia even made a statement during half time analysis that he was "proud of his boys"
now which part of this elementary explanation both of you still cannot comprehend?
SportsRe: Nigeria(0) Vs Tunisia(0) on Saturday June 20th by skyranger: 3:03pm On Jun 16, 2009
can any1 relate the two matches we played recently? i mean Nigeria V. France and Nigeria V. Kenya
here is my very candid opinion. i saw Siasia directing the boys in  the game against France while the handwriting of Amodu was all over the field of play against Kenya.
the game against France was a very technical one, skillfully, the french were better equipped but Siasia was able to get into the boys mind and direct them on a very tactical play pattern, the french stars were tactically kicked out of play, a very identical game to that of Senegal V.  France 2001 world cup.
now Amodu knows fully well that the entire Nigerians saw what played out, SIASIA
so stupidly clever, he tried so hard to make sure anything Siasia was not brought into that match, we all have our rating of that encounter,
Eagles would deliver in Tunisia if Amodu allows the young boys listen to their heart when Siasia speaks to them.
He shouldn't be scared, Siasia would not take his Job, at least not yet.
my candid opinion
PoliticsRe: Mend Threaten To Shutdown Fifa Junior World Cup by skyranger: 2:28pm On Jun 16, 2009
football has never been mixed with violent anywhere in the world, as far as i can remember.
when the killings within Nigeria league football started, i felt this is total madness. the two do not go together.
correct me if i'm wrong, Iraq took the Asian cup title, that is a country at war with its very foundation.
someone should preach to MEND and make them see the difference b/w football and militancy.
i remember clearly the speech Mandela made to make south Africa clinch hosting rights for 2010, he said it was only during world cup matches that inmates and their white warders would come as one, forget the fact about their situation and fate and watch each match with one heart and so much passion. he begged FIFA to please give south Africa the opportunity to witness such once again.
FIFA giving the hosting rights to Nigeria has nothing to do with our bloody thievery government. FIFA is aware of how corrupt our leaders are or who isn't?.
FIFA is being magnanimous to the Nigerian populace, including the common man on  the street, we deserve to host the world even if the matches has to be played in the jungles, this they are using to say thank you to the nigerian people for bringing so much glamor to the under 17 world football championship and her commitment.
i duff my hat to all Nigerian youths who contributed to the image of Nigeria via under 17 football championship, for coach Teller  i drink to his name being immortalized.
to MEND, in as much as i support its course, steered by criminals, presently, i'll say, please sheath your swords come out of your creeks lets watch good football after that, DAMN 9JA GOVERNMENT blow dem out as much as u can!
i take a bow

Cheemoney, u've taken one very wrong step in a life time journey; settle ur family issues within ur bedroom.
firstly no matter what anyone says or advice here is not going to impact on ur union, positively.
u most have noticed the kind of lady u intend to get married to.
as soon as u made up ur mind to marry her u shuld be ready to put up with her character.
let me paint a picture to you of a similar scenario, a friend of mine has a girlfriend, each time she wants to use the ATM when they are 2gether, she would ask the guy to stand back i mean this were couple planing for marriage soonest.
one thing was clear from this union, she intends to be fully financial secretive but of course she's going to have full access to the guys accounts. so its either the chap is ready to deal with this situation for the rest of his life or not.
i wish u all the best in sorting our this issue with ur wife, to be

PoliticsRe: Bank Managers Face Prosecution Over Missing Daniel’s Money by skyranger: 4:26pm On Jun 03, 2009
NLs can we pls be logical and reasonable on issues like this.
1. you don't transfer money to an unknown customers account to cook up the bank's or branch's books.
2. you don't transfer funds to an individual's account to cook up books of a bank or it's branch, adjustments like this are carried out between the bank's ledger accounts
3. before you credit an account, there must be a debit somewhere of equal amount, so the branch managers cannot manufacture  =N=400m from the air and credit an account in the name of cooking their books.
Conclusively;
4. someone is trying to pull wool over our eyes, i strongly recommend that the original story holds water
the original question this story is begging to be answered is ; how the governor had so much govt fund that a cook could steal up to =N=400m w/o being caught.

PS: if the cook could successfully steal =N=400m how much would others have stolen?
PoliticsAre Nigerians Really Studpid? by skyranger(op): 3:54pm On Jun 03, 2009
We are all damned stupid. Stupendously stupid. Stupid to the point of stupor. Stinking stupid swine. That’s what we all are. Not what we had always, been though. Not until 1979 anyway when this columnist cried out in the Nigerian Tribune that Nigeria harboured the largest collection of stupid men and women in the world.
And that stupid sting had stayed with us ever since. I mean ever since some stupid men imposed some stupid men on all the stupid people of this country in 1979. If you want to remember, it was that year that the leader of the stupid men announced to the larger community of stupid men that the best man would not be fit enough to lead the nation of Africa’s most enlightened people. And the best man was rigged out of contest and was made to bow at the feet of the cabal of stupid men.
That idiocy which captured the body and soul of the nation has refused to go, and I am told it will never go voluntarily.
You wonder how a nation can continue to stomach the horrible things that assail it every day. How a people have become so helpless that they allow themselves to be bedraggled by less than 3,000 heartless men. Those who hold this country by the jugular are less than 3000 nationwide. All former political [mis]rulers and their collaborators. And the present crop of day light robbers who have infected Abuja with a plague.
Every day, newspapers and television screens and radio airwaves are awash with news of billions of Naira ‘missing’, ‘misappropriated’, ‘embezzled’, ‘stolen’, and so on and so forth. At the end of the day, all of us idiots merely leave our mouths ajar, mumble some curses at beer parlour joints and resign ourselves to suffering unending.
Roads were meant to be built, contracts were awarded, adequate fees paid, and all we get in return are the death traps on Ibadan-Lagos expressway, Lagos-Benin human body-parts supermarket, gorges on motor ways across the land. In some cases whole vehicles are swallowed up by deep gaps in the middle of the road.
And how do the idiots who populate the country react? They rain curses and move on. And their tormentors are grinning from ear to ear in their ill-gotten military contraption called Hummer.
You see councillors who were mere truck pushers yesterday now donating brand new jeeps to their wives or girl friends as birthday gifts and no questions are asked. Why? In a nation of idiots, everything goes. Idiots all over the world are known to be timid people. Nigerian brand of idiots are worse than timid. They are zombies made worse by collective spell heaped on them by the day-light robbers who have imposed themselves on them.
But this nation had not always been like this. This had been a country of brave men and women who fought the colonial masters to a standstill. This was the country of Queen Amina. This was the land of Jaja of Opobo. This was the territory of Bashorun Ogunmola Olodogbo-keri-keri. The land of Lisabi Ogbongbo-akala. The land of Queen Orisamuro Eriwo . This was the country of Herbert Macaulay. The land of Raji Abdllah . The land of Aminu Kano . This was the country of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka. The land of Isaac Adaka Boro . The land of fiery Josiah Olawoyin. This land produced the great Nnamdi Azikiwe. The legendary Sir Ahmadu Bello came, saw and conquered. The Kiniwun Onibudo, the Olumoko, Agbola’ya bi aara Obafemi Awolowo was a nationalist of this same country now overgrown with timid weeds.
Perhaps all of us idiots now suffering in inexplicable silence are waiting for the one-man suicide squad Tai Solarin, Bala Usman, Omorogie Ohonbamu, Bros Kanmi Ishola Osobu, SLB Labanji Bolaji, Comrade Ola Oni, Comrade Niyi Oniororo, Wahab Goodluck, Pa Imoudu, Genius Ayodele Awojobi to come from their current places of abode to free us from this suffocating slavery on our soil.
It was in this country that the inimitable Fela Anikulapo Kuti carried coffin to harass Obasanjo at Dodan Barracks. The same Fela carried loads of ‘shit’ to block MKO Abiola’s house to protest ‘unfair treatment’ by Decca. Dr Beko Ransom Kuti led hundreds of thousands in protest to confront the fierce military tanks of Abacha in protest against the annulment of June 12 elections.
Now the generation suffering the most are still waiting for Ebenezer Babatope, Yemi Farounmbi, Gbolabo Ogunsanwo, Felix Adenaike, Arthur Nwankwo, Haroun Adamu, Tola Adeniyi, Rasheed Gbadamosi, our revered Dr Frederick Fasehun, our respected Gani Fawehimi, literary icons Soyinka and Achebe….men in their late sixties and mid seventies already shopping for travel agents for the best ticket out of planet earth, to fight for them.
I should remind the people in their 20s and 30s that they are the ones whose present and future are being trampled upon. It is they, more than any other idiots in the idiots’ country, that are having their lives and the lives of their children ruined by the massive stealing going on in the country today. And they should know that throughout history it is only people under age 35 who initiate and lead revolutions.
How is a country the size of Nigeria with all her resources not able to supply ordinary electricity to her citizens? Imagine the billions of Naira lost daily because of lack of power. Imagine the number of industries that have closed down. Imagine the multiplying effects of lack of electricity on the nation’s security and social/economic well being. How is a country with all God has given her unable to provide drinking water? Why should Nigeria fail in providing gainful employment to her teeming population? Why should over 20 million children be out of school nationwide?
And yet all of us idiots watch in helpless resignation the men who led us into this mess living in vulgar opulence, feeding fat on our stolen money, sentencing our daughters to prostitution, and we do nothing.
This nonsense cannot continue.
Imprisonment is not the answer. Imprisonment did not work in Ghana . It did not work in China . It did not solve the problem in Louis X1V’s France . It did not solve the problem in Russia before the Bolsheviks came with their chopping axe. No, Romania did not yield to imprisonment. Ask them in Ethiopia ; Meriam Mengistu led all to the chopping block.
If I am one of the 3,000 men who have brought Nigeria into this mess, come for me today, take me to the Bar Beach and chop my head off

the confusing part is, i can't marry his mundane appearance with his words.
At least the bible tell us hw Christ and his disciples lived their exemplary lives.

I use to listen to his preachings about the word of God.
I adored his rich black African Afro-hair.
Honestly i have not been able to reconcile why he had to go under the dryer, i'll completely understand if his wife does go to the salon.
Still can't understand why most of Christ embassy pastors strive so hard to look like Chris or speak like him huh
One thing is certain, Preaching God's word is not show business,

eddy4naija: Skyranger, or whatever you call yourself, You must be a big fool to have posted those outrageous rubbish on my tread, if you are part of those ruining this country or calling for the military takeover then i'm sorry for you because you are at a cross road and you might as well jump into the sea.

How on earth can you utter such rubbish on my post? next time you guard against any villianish utterances you post here. BULLSHIT
You are still typing w/o thinking!
Now i'm convince you have an empty box sitting atop your body.
c'mon make some sense bro,
How could you reasonably use all available adjectives to disqualify a military coup and wit the same tongue in your chick you are wishing for what Rawlings did in Ghana,
Even a pry 4 pupil  knows that Rawlings stage a coup, twice

Your arguments don't just sound like BULLSHIT alone, i think you are a personification of DEAD BULLSHIT.

Let me give you a bit of advice, you lame duck!
In an arguments, you either argue FOR or AGAINST as far as you can surport them with facts or logical reason which obviously, you lack.
And if you ever want to attack or counter an opposition's theory, even if you intend to attack his personality be sure to attack the arguments first; just like i did to your redeemless contradictory post.

you have every right to call me rubish, but try with all literacy or civility to justify it.
you wrote  that you dont want a military coup and that those clamouring for it were insane, you went futher to wish for what Rowling did in Ghana to happen in Nigeria,  For the sake of lucidity which school did you finish from, that is if you knew the path to one.

If i ever see any post from you that defies sanity or logical reasoning from you, i would bring this fight to your doorsteps.
you would wish you never knew the road to nairaland.

Scalawags like you missled this country this far.

PEA-HEAD!

PS: i could offer to tutor you at no cost, how to think while you write, if you'll be humble enough to ask.

eddy4naija:
Anyone calling for a coup in this country is not in his right frame of mind, infact na craze dey worry am.
How will someone with his right senses intact call for such a disaster upon himself and the nation? i think such persons need deliverance.

All what is happening in this country today is as a result of the mess over the years the military have inflicted on this country, and it cannot be easy for the civilians to repair all these messes in few years in office and some "craze people" are still calling for our oppressors to sieze power to oppress us the more, what an irony.

We are witnesses to all the killings, maimings and oppressions Nigerians were going through in the hands of the military and some one is stilll praying to toe that same line, military coup can never solve Nigeria's myraid problems instead it will escalate the issues at hand.

It's also unfortunate that our so called politicians are not helping matters at all, they only go into politics to kill their  opponents to pave way for their entry, snatch ballot boxes and stuff ballot papers to win and then go into office to loot the treasury threrby rendering the people impoverish.

The one wey de vex me most is the fact that these greedy and corrupt politicians move from one political office to another after the expiration of their former tenure in office. Example is the former governors becoming minister, senators etc and all these people have rendered their various states impoverished and later transformed into other forms of stealing.

Lastly, the  political party i would really love to hate with passion is "PDP" these are bunch of criminal cabals who are bent on bringing this country down at all cost with their do or die attitude, if i have my way, i will do to them what rawlings did in Ghana when he took over government.
All what we need is to vote out these criminals and put in power those who will give Nigeria a good government. It's also unfortunate that they will not want to hand over power to credible Nigerians.
Your opening lines where insulting and as well captivating.
After reading through your write up, i was disappointed to realise you were just typing without thinking or you don't really have a box upstairs to think from.

Your's is the most contradictory write up i have ever read.
Rowlings could achive all that because he plotted a coup!

next time, pls read your notes before you post, else you are selling your cheap stupidity, illitracy which has led Nigeria to the very path it stands.

ANY AND EVERY DEVELOPED COUNTRY ON THIS EARTH HAS HAD A REVOLUTION!
That was what the first millitary coup sought to achieve before they got derailed by tribal sentiments,
There is large scale corruption, who do you think would stop it? the next coming PDP government?
Or you intend to rely on our judiciary, who doled out guidlines on the lower courts and tribunals on how to deliver sound judgments on election hearings but at the end they delivered the most controvercial ruling ever.

Once some young military officers from the defence academy, that owe no allegiance to any general or tribe, gets their acts right, the nation would be on a new path to greatness
PoliticsRe: . by skyranger: 1:14pm On Jan 14, 2009
we can't still denied the fact that most developed countries of the world had it path for greatness defined by it's military.
the fact that  our military officers were clouded by tribalism which scuttled the earlier reasons they had for staging a military coup and plonged the nation into counter coups and civil war should not prevent us from admitting that from all indications, only young army officers could rise up to  the challenge and cleans our land invested with corruption and corrupt political officers

The fact that Osumbor is from Benin as well as you doesn't mean oshomole would not fare better.
I think you are one of the Tribal pigs our nation is having in it's polity.
The entire nation is showering encomium on a sound and fair judgment, you are talking about achievements. Has Osumbor been probed and found "clean"  neither has Oshomole been tested on this platform of leadership.
Your judgment defies that of a sane and redeemable literate.
So please keep your mouth shut if you must open them, drink from the wine of celebration.
SportsAmodu Vs Siasia: Who Is The Better Man For The Job? by skyranger(op): 7:03am On Oct 13, 2008
Can sum1 please explain to the Nigeria football lovers what the criteria was for picking Amodu over Siasia to handle the Super eagles job. so far, all the games he has handled lack Techinical Input,
The last response i got from this same question was that Siasia lack experience.
One begin to wonder what experince is NFF really talking about? i mean which Coach in the history of Nigeria as achieved the feat Siasia has within a short while.
I think they meant he has too much experience or too many string of success and what they are looking for is someone with a very good track record of failure.
The decision to pick Amodu over Siaisa is a pointer to the common fact in Nigeria Govt that the best man doesn't always get the Job.
Christianity EtcRe: What If Obama Is The Anti-Christ? by skyranger: 8:19pm On Oct 07, 2008
I never thought any1 would or could make a statement in support of the subject.
Is it that the Inhuman and unspeakable treatment past generations of black slaves were subjected to has made the present generation think we are not as worthy as our slave generations were classed.
That even the, untamed animal is better than our present generation.
Why didn't we consider Mugabe the Anti-Christ at least he has been very popular.for God's sake why not even Hitler after his death no man has been able to measure up with the evil he did or planned to execute!
Countless civil right fighters laid down their lives to see this day, where a black man would be class along side fellow man, no matter the strata of human class they occupy
Just as a black is about to achieve that feat, some folks are talking w/o even consulting their Neurons talk more of a brain. have u guys forgotten Rosa Parks; the lady that sat down so that blacks all over the world would be deemed fit to sit amongs other race.
Obama represents what Noble men have been trying to change from the day the first generation of slaves were sold and taken outside the shores of Africa.
Anybody who brands him an Anti-Christ represents those who sold their siblings as slaves at no cost.
for all i care, let him be the first Black Presidents, you guys can brand him an anti-christ later,
after all, you guys are comfortable with the portrait of Satan showing up as been a black man.
Irredeemable redundant morons!!!

Guys we need to be a bit logical and constructive in our arguments,
on a personal note, i have stoped doing home videos. i remember clearly when i growing up as a Teen, i use to stay glued to my TV set each time i need to watch a home video or soap.
Clear indication that our industry is deteriorating is the fact that nothing they do in nollywodd catches my fancy again, yet.
if you want a comparism b/w past movies and present, go and watch "things fall apart" (early or late eighties) it is not comparable to any of their present day series or movies.
i mean, can we for any reason compare our music industry to that of the movie, definitely not. that is waht a developing industry does. it pulls more people to it circle, not loosing fans on a daily basis
i'm a die hard local 9ja guy for life, i have not even dreamt of living this country for once and i'm a very proud nigerian. that doesn't mean i should get served with junk in the name of movies or soaps.
a good movie is the one you watch and not see an element of Acting. simply put, we shouldn't be able to tell that "it is all make believe"
for heaven's sake how on earth can two major nollywood actors go clubing late in the night and happens to be the only souls in that club, our present directors should get their acts rigths, the actors as well,
bring your movies to life by making all your scenes REAL,

the only know case or the best ever spoken of was Sgt Rogers and we all read about his target,

Surely, we could have personel trained in the act of snipping, i strongly doubt if we have their tools in our armories accross all bonkers (we are talking about; high velocity caliber riffles attached to a personel with an attribute to sit tight for days w/o moving a muscle. just waiting for that killer view), huh
