Mellorix: Well.. i call them work stations ! (Very silent) consumes not much electricity.. I have 4T hard Disk (Planing to buy SSDs though) .
I have my SAN and NAS as VSAs. (That is HP VSA appliance) . - Have a look at that.

I have a HP blade server at home (lol).Just spoke with a friend of mine and he said i can configure a nested virtualization on it also so i think i am good with my hardware now. Not really expensive. got it off ebay for about £280.Its what i am using to run my Microsoft labs.
Are you in the Uk? will it be okay if we run a google hangout session so you we can have some lab study?

Mellorix: Sorry for the late reply ! and yes i can do all you mentioned with my laB. I have a DR site and a production site - i bought a barebone desktop of 32GB RAM - so working with Vmware is smooth and nice. (Check for Shuttle XPC barebones) they are alittle cheap in the UK

Wow. Are they servers? never heard of them before. just checking online for it. Do they make noise. Mine is a full server and its makes noise and consume a lot of power. Are they pretty fast?

I am currently running 4 hosts (18 VMs) on the production site and 2 Hots(7) VM on the DR site. I have 2 vcenter servers,SRM etc!

Oh, you mean your primary site and recovery site are all from one physical server? Would like to know how you set that up. I have a server for my lab too but just with 16gb but i am sure could do the trick) but i installed ESXI directly on it. I really w ant to test Vmotion but i have not had the chance since i have just one server. Is there a link to your setup which i c an use. Also how did you get the license for Vmware SRM and Vsphere essentials. I have using trials . Are you running all the host from one single physical server?

Just an update for anyone who did not read the rules on KFBA or need to understand the trading for keeps

We have developed a "keeper" system that allows teams to protect their young prospects, emerging stars, and late-round finds. A team can reserve a player from its own roster for the next season by forfeiting a draft pick that comes two rounds before the round in which that player was picked the previous year. So if, for example, you take Juan Dixon in the 13th round one season, and you want to retain his services for the following year, you may do so by spending your 11th round pick on him. If you want to keep him on your roster the season after that, you have to use your 9th round pick. By the terms of this policy, it is impossible to keep a first or second round pick on your roster for the next season.

So losing teams can trade thier 1st and second round pick now to get a high valuable player on his team next year. A perfect example is this new kid called Micheal-carter-williams which is on Ibaka Flockaflame's team. He was drafted at the 13th round so that why you can see he has 11 in front of his name since you lose your 1st and 2nd round pick automatically for next season. If he decides to keep him, he will draft it back on the 11th round. Thats getting a high quality player at round 11, giving him enough round to get other high quality players since the dude has a chance of becoming a star player next season.

Donlittle: saw those trades you are trying to make, people don't accept/deny their trades. They just ignore it. We need to know how many of us are on Nland

I think next season once we have a list of everyone on Nairaland interested, we can create another league. Also your contract for the team you own now expires at the end of this season. You will have to click the extend contract to continue playing it next season. As for the trade, most people just ignore it or they try and wait if their player get injured and then trade him quickly.

I am trying to trade to get the best player from a team that i feel might have no chance of making the playoff and give the person a player that might be a star up next season.

Mellorix: I have vast experience in using ALL vmware proucts - Workstation, Esxi, vcenter, cloud director, SRM and others. I have also built a home Lab for practice and planing to sit for the VCP exam.If you need any help please let me know .. I will be happy to help.

I was wondering if you could go though cloud director and SRM using your lab ?I just want to see the real hand on lab using this product. Will that be possible? We can use Google handout and anyone interested can join also.

LOL. its the same KFBA but in another league apart from Nairaland League. The good thing about KFBA is that we get to keep your team for next year draft and even keep some players for next year. It make it more interesting.

wow. I had to defeat number 1 spot(Iroc) when i was number 2 to take the Christmas number 1. I lost on boxing day and was dropped to number 2 and The Amigos took number 1.As fate will have it,I had to defeat another number one team (The Amigos) to take the number 1 spot again which will take us through the new year.

Going alright. I am preparing for the 70-411. I never had the 2008 certification. I currently work with Microsoft servers at work so the 70-411 is easy. I just need to go through it with other guys to understand it better and with group study, we do bring our experience from the work place into the group study.

Facebook data scientists recently compared users’ hometowns with their current residences to uncover the top 10 cities that had ‘coordinated migrations’- or the movement of large numbers of people from one place to another.

The top destinations were found throughout the world in countries that are rapidly urbanising. In these areas at least 20 per cent of the population of one city had moved to another city.
London was listed as the 10th most popular region for migration, with a growth of 1.4 per cent in ten years. Around 94 per cent of these migrants came from within the UK.

The data found that Lagos in Nigeria grew 18.6 per cent between 2000 and 2012 as a destination city
Istanbul was the second most popular city. A large proportion of migrants came from other parts of Turkey, with the rest originating from Eastern Europe.
‘We believe that these migrations have cultural and political motives, on top of economical ones,’ said Facebook.
‘For instance, we observe migration from Bulgaria (with a considerable Turkish minority) and from majority-Muslim Bosnia.’
According to this data, countries such as India, Nigeria, and Turkey are becoming increasingly urban, with many people moving from rural areas into large cities such as Hyderabad and Chennai in India and Lagos in Nigeria.
For most of the cities on the top 10 list, the megacity migrations are coming from within the same countries.
But there are a few interesting patterns. Kampala in Uganda, for instance, is absorbing a significant number of people from towns in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo.
In the U.S. coordinated migrations tend to come from other countries, such as from Cuba to Miami and from Mexico to cities such as Chicago, Houston, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
The Facebook data, however, excludes China, where the social network is banned but which has undergone the largest migration in human history.

lol. i am just a player like you guys. I don't have any power on the site. Not everyone on the Nairaland league are Nairalanders. I tried to get enough nairalanders privately to sign up for the league but i could not so i had to tell the owner of the site to make it public so anyone can join.

I am currently doing one with server 2012 using google hangout but i keep getting the urge to do something on Vmware. I have my own lab at home and we can learn Data Centre Virtualization with mine if we need to do labs and no one has thier own lab
