I cant say which school.Your friend needs to find out which course he wants to do and see the minimum requirement.He will have to check schools websites and find out their minimum requirement I know there are school which accepts third class depending on the course and mayb experience in the field.

An arms dealer who helped ship thousands of AK47 assault rifles and millions of rounds of ammunition from China to Nigeria has been jailed for seven years.
Gary Hyde, 43, moved the weapons without a licence and hid more than one million US dollars - £620,460 - in commission payments.
Hyde, from Newton on Derwent, near York, looked tearful as he was sentenced at London’s Southwark Crown Court following his conviction for two counts of breaching UK trade controls and concealing criminal property.
The deal between the two countries’ governments was lawful, but Judge Nicholas Loraine-Smith said middleman Hyde was caught out by his own greed.
He failed to apply for a licence to take part in the deal, fearing it would be refused, but also because he was attracted by the 'enormous profits' to be made, the judge said.
Hyde, who was supported in court by his family, legitimately ran and expanded wholesale business York Guns to the point where it employed 20 staff in 2003.
He helped broker various arms deals including some for the British Government.
But in 2006 he got involved in the deal between China and Nigeria which saw up to 40,000 AK47s, 30,000 rifles and 10,000 9mm pistols go to the African nation along with 32 million rounds of ammunition.
Prosecutor Mukul Chawla QC said: ‘This case is about the shipment of huge quantity of guns and ammunition from China to Nigeria in 2007.
‘That shipment, because it was being partly arranged and organised from the UK by Gary Hyde, required the permission of the Department for Business, Innovation, and Skills in the form of a licence.
‘Mr Hyde, despite knowing that such a licence was required, helped to organise that shipment without seeking and obtaining the required licence.
‘This was not an oversight but, say the prosecution, a deliberate and calculated breach of the law.
‘In order to ensure that his illegal activities were not drawn to the attention of the UK authorities he placed, and thus concealed, the profits from this illegal trade in to a bank account in Liechtenstein.’
Hyde was convicted after a retrial on two counts of becoming knowingly concerned in the movement of controlled goods between March 2006 and December 2007.

He was also found guilty of one count of concealing criminal property between March 2006 and December 2008 after he hid the profits in a bank in Liechtenstein.
Hyde, who was of previous good character and served as a special constable for seven years, was also reluctant to apply for a licence lest the UK authorities discovered his tax haven account and his 'very substantial earnings', the judge said.

He told him: 'You got carried away by the enormous profits that could be made elsewhere and, it would seem, in some less responsible company.
'I accept you opened your account in Liechtenstein to reduce your tax liability in lawful ways but it was there conveniently for you to launder the money from this unlawful deal.'
The judge added: “Applying for a licence would have been easy. There was no evidence you would have got one, the question was never asked. I suspect you thought you would not.
'If you had, you would have also been concerned about the UK authorities finding out about your very substantial earnings.'

He has third class result and he can not apply for masters in the uk.Please what other form of programme can he apply for in uk so that he can be able to do his masters later.He studied economics....And if he apply for visa will he be granted? Do you know of any university or college with low tuition fees? Tnx

Has he tried applying to schools in the UK? There are some schools who expect you to have just a degree and maybe few years of experience and they will accept you. He should try even with third class to apply for masters, if he cant get it,he should try post graduate diploma.
In regards to cheap school, i cant say at all. the most important thing is to get a good school.

solomonkane: Oga stop lying there. The salaries of their lecturers are basically average. A friend (A doctorate holder in English Literature) went for an interview there and was offered a monthly salary of #175k. She was given outrageous conditions like compulsory removal of tithes from her salary, compulsory attendance of chapel & and a condition that she must live in the staff quarters (and 20% of her salary was to be taken away as rent. Of course she turned it down.

menia: With all due respect, I dont totally agree with Vicjustice. There is nothing wrong in parent sponsoring a married woman and her kids when comes to either UK or US tourist visa or student visa. Anytime I apply for either UK or US visa for myself and my daughter, I always use my father documents as my sponsor despite the fact that I work and they always grant our visas. kalari just ensure you include your statement of account as well. I applied for UK 10 years visa last year with my daughter and my father sponsored us and the visas were granted eventhough I'm married.

You just said you work. Kalari did not mention anything about work in her post

peteafrik88: @Skywalker; Thanx all thesame. For the barbing, I intend to work for people not start my own business there, it will be my part time job. I will also try to work in between the restricted hours according to the visa rules.

Not sure if there are jobs for barbers. They are quite a few around but not sure if they are actually looking for someone as most of the barbers are actually the owners. I cant say as they might be looking for someone part time also. You can try when you come around. Most of them are around the Fratton area which where most Naijas are.

I think it is against the rules establishing a business while you are in school.Remember if you are on a student visa, you are going to be restricted with the amount of hours you work. Its risky but you can do your barbing in your house but strictly for your guys and people who wont snitch you out. That's still a risk which if you are caught,you know what happens next

Portsmouth is cool. its getting expensive though due it being like a tourist attraction and close to the sea but not as expensive as London. Surviving in Portsmouth is easy. There are part time jobs.Most popular part time job that are available are Care work and support worker. House rent are fairly okay as you can get one between thee range of £200 - £350 per month (1 room in a house) in the Fratton area. Food is available and fairly cheap and enough African stores in Portsmouth. Naijas plenty around also. The town is cool as its not rowdy.

Its a good school and the life there is easy and not a rush rush like London.
