Based off of my cursory attempt to skim through some of the responses, and in consideration of your original thoughts, here's my take:

1. I'm living proof of the dividends of eloquence. I concur entirely that, for the most part, it even makes up for what guys may be lacking in other departments eg. looks, pocket weight confidence (or lack of it) etc. If this were a church, consider this my testimony to the goodness of my eloquence in "earning" me chics that hitherto belonged only to my dreams.

2. On a rather trivial note, I see absolutely nothing particularly wrong with your punctuation, especially as represented on a very informal medium such as this. It is my own opinion that you might have ruffled more than a few feathers and certain hurt egos were indubitably bound to lash back. I would not expend a second of my time in response to them.

3. Now, to answer your question, yes, most definitely, I would date someone whose English is poor. Although there can be no excuses in a society like ours where schooling is common and English is the official language of general communication, I'm of the opinion that English is not our mother tongue and it would be unfair to judge personalities based solely on their English language prowess. However, I would honestly only "date" without a long-term plan to sustain that relationship. For a rather serious date, hell nawww... I think I'll be too conscious of the potential risks of public embarrassment.
