Igbo leaders are a disgrace yet the Igbo people continue to make exploits even without being at the zenith of political power. He prefers Hausa because they've united to produce Buhari, whose leadership won't make his people more educated or better than the Igbo. |

Raiders: The problem with Igbos is that they don't have good leadership since ojukwu died. Politicians like Ochendo are consider as leaders in the SE. I hope people like Owelle take over the leadership of Igbos and move the region to the next level. Don't say what you don't know. Who considers Ochendo a leader? And why should Owelle be an Igbo leader? Because he's in APC? |
Celebrities › Re: Igbo Leaders A Disgrace – Etcetera by slap1(m): 10:42am On Apr 18, 2015 |
His argument is riddled with holes. Since Ojukwu died, Ndigbo have been like sheep without a shepherd. This is very presumptuous. I don't know where people get this idea from, but Ojukwu was not the leader of Ndigbo. You could say he was a big influence on many Igbo people, not the leader of the entire Igbo. Etcetera has written some good stuffs, but this is myopic and off point. |

Billyonaire: I expected that the APC government will allow competence to overide nepotism. But now, it is clear that this government is NOT going to be different from the PDP government except worse than PDP. The Niger-Delta/Biafra Geopolitical zone has been totally marginalized in this 'unconstitutional' sharing of positions. We are NOT worried, we will continue to supply Nigeria with Crude Oil/Gas. But note that when the boys return to the creeks, your jet fighters will only add more harms to the pipelines. This will be worse than Boko Haram. This is NOT a threat, this is just the reality of what happens when a people are pushed to the wall. Do not take my word for it.
But what bothers me as a person, is why majority voted for Change, yet most of the positions go to career politicians formally from the PDP. Looking at the appointment, former PDP members get about 60% of the positions, yet we call this CHANGE ? I think Nigerians are being short-changed.
I do not envy the North. Power has been their birth-right, yet they are the poorest and most uneducated human species in Nigeria, their kids are manning gates for Igbos in Lagos and selling fruits buy the gutters. In a country that power is shared based on zones and tribe and NOT competence, there is little hope of a better tomorrow from this Government.
I pity those who expected Change from a group of Bandits. As for me, we are back to the 1980s. Somebody will tell you the SE didn't vote CHANGE and should even be grateful for being able to do business in the country. Wait till the ministerial list comes out, you will see a clearer picture of marginalization. On the issue of the Boys returning to the creek, they will say GMB was a former army general and would wipe them out. I laugh. The cost of any possible war in Niger-Delta will be grave, the government may be enmeshed in it throughout its first tenure. You exploit a people and expect them to keep quiet. It doesn't work that way. You show a lack of value for the lives of your country men because they are from a particular region, yet you scream xenophobia when your example is advanced in another country. |

The Igbo are individually viable. Whether they hold any top position or not, it won't affect our development. In recent past, when Igbo held high posts in government, there was little or no impact on the development of the people. On the contrary, the North has ruled for many years and some villages up there still go nakked, poverty, illiteracy and barbarism level is still on the rise. Northern leaders, past and present, are responsible for Boko Haram insurgency by denying their people good education and governmental presence. |

mayorall: Wow. That's nice boss. I hear via my heart just that I am still finding it hard cos I am a sinner. But I do ask for forgiveness anyway.
Sometimes I hear him talking to me but I take it as my heart suggestion.
My personal encounter
I was in camp early this month. I brought out this suit I haven't wore in last 3 months. Dipped my hand into the chest pocket and found #500 I was so happy to but before I could blinked my eyes, I heard it's not for you, I asked, for who?. He said I will tell you, you will meet the person. By an hour -two, a security member came to challenge me cos of where I was standing, Holy Spirit said that's him and I gave the man.
The man said he had been praying for what to eat for a while, he thanked me and we parted. There you go! I believe the price of disobeying Him, at least the one we feel, is deep guilt and regret and a desire for a second chance to make it right. Spiritually, something may be taken from us for disobedience. |

The Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts. He tells us what's right or wrong.
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
The Holy Spirit is the conscience of a born again Christian. |
