[s] aribisala0: Inferiority complex
COLONIAL MASTER. ?? Master indeed? Why do you need validation from your MASTER. So you need MASTER to tell you about yourself? What an enslaved mind MASTER said so it must be so. Well the rest of us do not accept that even your MASTER is superior, they just happened to be on top at that point in time . We can think and former ideas without help from MASTER Rather than permit a white man to Cone and classify black people into categories I would ask him who he thinks he is and what gives him standing to do so. There is one fact Eboes cannot deny at the time of their colonisation they existed in a PRIMITIVE state .They had NOT MASTERED POLITICAL ORGANISATION MORE COMPLEX THAN VILLAGE OR CLAN LEVEL AND STILL PRACTISED WIDESPREAD CANNIBALISM
Now I do not believe in the inferiority of men and so I can only attribute this to a lack of exposure having been cut off for centuries by the forest. It is only a mind that is deeply troubled by FEELINGS of inferiority that tries to get relief by asserting superiority. Be assured Nigerians know the Ebony very well having lived with them for so long.We understand why they are so boastful an d often we pity them [/s] You say the white man has no standing to tell you the Yoruba who you are but you agree he brought "civilization" to the Igbo. You see how you now speak with a forked tongue. Meanwhile, you're talking nonsense, make I go jor.

Quoting statements from white people in colonial africa and documents from a dark period in African historyonly shows how much low self esteem you and your tribe are suffering. You have real problems bro. OTHERWISE, I could quote several books and statements from the same white people that describe ibos as the worst set of humans ever.

I love this question. It usually stirs up the kind of arguments I love to engage in. Here's a quote from Dawn of Justice,If God is all powerful then He can't be all good and if He's all good He can't be all powerful. Well,to answer I'll say,man indeed corrupts power. Power isn't in itself bad or evil, power is pure energy used towards a purpose. The purpose to which power is applied is totally up to the man. If he's evil,he wields power in an evil manner,if he's good he wields it towards a good purpose. |
Politics › Re: Britain Says It Will Not Allow Nigeria To Break Up by SlayerForever: 5:11pm On Apr 07, 2017 |
BMedia: This means several things: [s] 1. The US is also in support of one Nigeria because the UK and the US are long standing allies that never go against one another, especially on issues of sovereignty.
2. The UK and US are the most powerful members of the UN with veto powers, so a UN sponsored/supervised referendum is out of the question; it's just not happening.
3. In the event of military engagement in the quest for biafra, the UK and US will be on Nigeria's side again and defend her sovereignty (through sale of weapons or outright participation in the melee) like they did in 1967.
4. The Nigerian government now has even more impetus to prosecute and punish Nnamdi Kanu, a Briton, with this renewed UK support for an indivisible Nigeria.
5. The IPOB propaganda to paint Nigeria in bad light through fraudulent claims so as to gain the sympathy / support of the international community, has failed woefully.
What a sad day for the Liepods. [/s] Smh |

Politics › Re: 7 Reasons Why Biafra Will Never Happen by SlayerForever: 2:59pm On Apr 06, 2017 |
[s] ibson99: The agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra seems to be growing stronger. These agitations are championed by a group known as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and a sizable number of ethnic Igbo youths who go on the internet to share their opinions on their continued relationship with the rest of Nigeria. Their demands are simple; they want an independent state of Biafra mainly because they believe the rest of Nigeria is slowing down their development. Unfortunately, the independence of Biafra is based largely on factors outside the control of even the agitators.
1. They need to convince the rest of Nigeria to let them go The conundrum is the Biafran’s wants the oil rich Niger-Delta to be a part of their country, while the rest of Nigeria cannot survive without oil revenue from the South. Without oil revenue, states like Osun and Kebbi State in the north will be unable to pay workers salaries and provide basic services like health and education. Convincing the rest of Nigeria to give up oil revenue will be quit a task.
2. Vague geographical location: To have a country, you will need an exact geographical territory. As it stands, even the leaders of the movement do not have a definite territory in mind. Some have suggested that perhaps the oil rich Niger-Delta should be part of their country others want an alliance with the middle-belt minority Christians. The agitators just do not have a definite map in mind.
3. The rich and famous Igbo’s don’t support Biafra: The reason is simple; the probability of success is very slim. In Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial center, there are a lot of successful Igbo traders who wouldn’t want to find out what will happen to their businesses when they are no longer Nigerians.
4. The call for Biafra is not exactly honorable: The current agitation led by Nnamdi Kanu started shortly after the 2015 general election in which majority of Igbo’s supported the then incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan. Before the election, Nnamdi Kanu was virtually non-existent and it could be argued that it was Goodluck Jonathan’s loss at the polls that led to the current agitation. Where is the honor in that?
5. They have no international support: On the continent, no African country will be bold enough to meddle in Nigeria’s internal politics. France and The UK have already declared they won’t be supporting the actualization of Biafra; the Americans are traditional allies and supporters of one Nigeria. These leave them with only Russia and China as possible supporters; not unlikely, but not enough.
6. Biafra will be same old wine in a new bottle: Over 521 languages are spoken in present day Nigeria by about 300 ethnic groups. Biafra if created will still be as diverse as Nigeria with the same corrupt politicians and similar social problems. What will be worse is a lot of ethnic groups won’t want to be minorities to the Igbo’s.
7. There is no actual oppression or marginalization of the Igbos: Before his arrest and eventual detention by the Nigerian State, Nnamdi Kanu on his Radio Biafra would go on and on about how the Igbos are being politically marginalized and oppressed, and how they would thrive in an independent Biafra. Reality check is a lot of the Igbo traders in Lagos would disagree with that assertion. Politically: the current Deputy Senate President of Nigeria is of Igbo ethnic extraction, the current Minister of Petroleum is Igbo. Within the last 17 years the Igbos have produce a Senate President, several Ambassadors and top government officials; the Igbos are simply a force to reckon with in Nigeria’s politics.
Those agitating for an independent state of Biafra have started on a path, but they still have great a many miles to go. source: http://www.afriforum.net/276/7-reasons-why-biafra-will-never-happen [/s] |

Mischievous OP can't even bring himself down to mention the fact that the thread was culled from a group called "Proudly Anioma, Proudly Igbo", notice he stopped at "Proudly Anioma", while deliberately omitting the "Proudly Igbo" part of the group. Such is the character of the OP.
You Think his omission of the Igbo there was unintentional, but those of us in this field, know better. I'm beginning to see that guy in a very negative light. He has no good in him at all. |
