You know danm well you only spew nonsense on this thread. Igbo are generally peaceful otherwise you would have been erased like text on a black board. But don't take Igbo for granted because you don't even have anything to fight with. Your tribe are made up of poorly educated people , oil will no longer be used as a bargaining chip because almost everyone has oil , your population is not up to 1/2 percent of the whole Igbo....how the Bleep are you gonna fight Igbo ?? Blowing up your own pipeline and polluting your source of drinking water ? You are condemned to be decimated if your try any nonsense.

The Igbo in the US can raise enough fund to finance a war with you that can only last one day! Better respect yourself

You know, all these is somewhat funny. If the Ndoki are well rooted in Bonny/Opobo as has been shown, why do they hardly claim their rights in Bonny/Opobo as fathers. Strange huh?

The mistake your forefather made is same thing you guys here in this forum are still making.

Never you assume that a people are your people if they haven't said so.
You can't choose for them.

Bonny n Opobo are not Igbos but Ijaws.
How many times will that be told you folks

The OP said he will sell an Ijaw man in the presence of a Bonny/Opobo man but that itself is a mistake cos the bonny man or Opobo man will never sell his brother.
You Igbos can do that easily but not the Ijaw man.
We love ourselves.

Like this now I am on my way to Bonny with NLNG boat. Wen I get there I will ask some of them to tell me their heritage, culture just to confirm their ijawness.

@ slayerforever and the rest ipob miscreants ranting here, know this, your noise ends here.
No Ijaw land will be ceded to Igbos never.
We had a great exposé here yesterday on the whole Ijaw charade in Bonny/Opobo. Those lies will no longer hold going forward.

Now that they have known the name, they will start revisionism by affixing "R" in front of the name and it will become George R Oruigbiji. Remember what they did in Ikwerre land through their wartime governor of River state? Watch him go back to his community to inform them that he has found out the real name of the Opobo Igbo king. The next after discussing with his village people is to come back to nairaland to create a thread about George R Oruigbiji.
I swear grin

But they have failed!

Bros , this your explanation did not make a danm sense , please. There is no way marrying women who speak a different language into your culture will completely change the language of your people because these women would still be in the minority. Unless over 70% of your men decides to marry Igbo women which would be strange , lie and unbelievable. And stop using bride price as an excuse.

Where I come from we have almost lost our dialect to that of Igbo.

And this sad reality is owing to the consistent penchant of our men in seeking for their bride in Igbo land. The high cost of bridal fee that is associated with our culture hasn't helped issue either. We hardly marry within. That's why I am an advocator for endogamy system of marriage as a way of preserving our dialect.

There is what is called in sociology Cultural diffusion. When two cultures comes together it leads to what is called cultural dilution.

Why do you think far right Europian moment are adverse to strangers from Muslim country. You are aware of the New Zealand massacre that transpired close to a mosque.

When two cultures meet at a certain point, it has a way of diffusing the inherent culture in place. Even the singular fact of trading with the outside world comes with it's attendant challenges. You think my kalabari brothers bears English surname on their making.
I've told you before that if you're speaking Igbo natively, you are either Igbo or Igbo descended. Igbo can't displace your language. Another instance would be proximity. But that would make the people bilingual. Languages don't go so easy cheesy

That's the effect of a war loss by the Igbos..If IGBO had won the war, would that King say he was related to Ijaw when the ancient unbiased History points to If I descent?
I want Nigeria to divide along Ethnic lines so Ijaw and Igbo will settle the ownership issue of Bonny and Opobo either ICC or through violence

His name is George Oruigbiji.
He was brought up in England and was given the nickname King Pepper because of his trade in pepper which was sweetened to Pepple by the locals.

So you must be one of the tenants there. A supreme court ruling has already declared that the Jajas own Opobo.

It may surprise you to know that I have 2 personal friends from Opobo. My info can be piercing to landgrabbers.

Jajas are the supremos in Opobo. If you don't like it, you can always relocate to Brass.
No joy.

Are igbos d original inhabitants there or they are settlers via slavetrading?
They were not just the original settlers. Igbo founded the place. Through Ndoki Igbos of Abia and Rivers. Incidentally the Ijaw over time came around the area since it's a coastal place. From there they started claiming it till this day cheesy

The language of the Opobo people is Ibani. That's not to say that they don't speak Igbo.

I'm from the Ijaw speaking part of Ogoloma in Rivers state . And in my community, owing to the penchant of our men in time past in getting married to Igbo women, over time we lost our dialect in preference for Igbo. Does that make us Igbo people?

King Jaja was not the sole founder of Opobo kingdom. He migrated alongside with other people. He was only elected to head over them as king because he was wealthy. And mind you, the language of the Opobo and Bonny people is Ibani. The fact that some Opobo people speak Igbo doesn't mean it is their dialect.
[/s]

Lies. Language doesn't change that easy. If you speak Igbo widely, you are either Igbo or Igbo descended. We're not fools here. The Bonny/Opobo people are Igbo. With some Ijaw people there, especially in Bonny. Finish.
