I don’t think Buhari will be able to sell any candidate now because his influence is waning due to poor performance on security and economy. That’s why a few governors opposed his choice of chairman candidate but mellowed down to prevent disunity in APC. With presidential primary, Buhari cannot wield his power and influence. The party will just collapse. The only thing that can ensure the unity of the party after primary is for the losers to see with korokoro eyes that they have been beaten blue and black by the winner. Any other option will spell doom for APC.

The so called buhari's choice according to some bootlickers went on a consultation with the emir of kano. On the entourage of Amaechi are paper weight inconsequential politicians like saliu mustafa,ali ndume,ifeanyi ararume. A Buhari anointed choice can't be on a consultation drive with such political lilliputians.

None of them controls the party structure in their state. Where will Amaechi get votes to win the presidential primary election from?

Every politician in Nigeria who can be a possible candidate in the next election has at one point or the other been a part of a failed govt. I cant write everyone off especially for decisions which weren't even their making.

In the current Nigerian structure, the VP is more like an EMPLOYEE of the govt who performs only tasks allocated to him by his boss; even junior ministers have more executive and decision making powers than the VP. I cannot heap the blame of a failed govt on an employee who has absolutely no executive powers or authority to make decisions.

A little peek into what could be expected from PYO could be seen with his actions the very first time PMB handed over to him during his medical trip. After failing the first law of power (i.e. "do not outshine your master", the cabal made sure Osinbajo was NEVER allowed any decision making role since then.
