Dayo don come with another agenda driven debate. Well i know how much you hate Beckham but guy it is high time you stop blaming him for 1999.

Becks has 80 EPL assists, averaging 1 assist every 3.3 games and you claim you can name over 20 players that were better passers. I have no doubt in my mind that Beckham was the best crosser in EPL history and since he played as a winger that was the most important aspect of passing to him.

Like Ibime said passing to control the game is different to passing for chance creation. In terms of controling the game i will give Scholes then Alonso (mainly because Alonso at his best played in a 3 man midfield while Scholes had to play in a 2 man midfield).

Passing to create goals i will say KDB, Fabregas, Giggs. KDB and Giggs have such high positions because of their variety (They are the 2 who are equally deadly from deep, edge of the box, wings or even set pieces AND they had the pace to leave their markers to create space for the pass).

I dont like Beckham, I think he is the most overrated player ever just like Terry and I have shown already that KDB, Ozil Fabregas had better rates as we have seen they are attacking players, for those in midfield who pass to control the game whose passes dont reflect as assists. Like Scholes Lampard, Alonso. Also I saw how mediocre Beckham was in Madrid he was so poor and skilless that he was sent to midfield and as far back as Right full back. If not for his star pull he might have been chased away from there. The rest of his career he spent with part time footballers in LA Galaxy

KDB averages 10.5 assists in the premier league, would he be higher in 2 years? I believe so, especially if Guardiola remain manager but for now, he is 10.5 after 4 seasons in the EPL.
