Mertesacker’s shocker should worry Arsenal

http://www.goal.com/en/news/1717/editorial/2011/09/07/2654130/arsenal-fans-should-be-worried-following-per-mertesackers-horror-
In his first international match since March, Mertesacker was found woefully lacking as Germany drew 2-2 with Poland. He was indecisive and often caught out of position, his lack of pace was exposed, and he even made a few careless passes. While it is true that the former Werder Bremen man is still somewhat short of match practice, his night to forget was all too foreseeable

This is dementia at the highest level

Pele is the greatest player to have ever kicked the football

He claimed Godwin Okpara would win WPOTY
10) China 2002

Pele Prediction: China will qualify for the next round from their 2002 World Cup group.

Outcome: China finish bottom of Group C with no wins, no draws, no points, no goals, as well as -9 in their goal-difference column.

9) Spain 1998

Pele Prediction: Spain are favourites for the 1998 World Cup in France.

Outcome: Spain humiliatingly dumped out in the first round after losing to Nigeria, and drawing with Paraguay.

Raul & Spain - Kings Of France '98?

cool Colombia To Live American Dream

Pele Prediction: Colombia will win the 1994 World Cup in the USA.

Outcome: Colombia exit the competition in the first round, finishing bottom of their group. Their defender Andres Escobar is also tragically shot dead by an angry fan after Colombia return home.

7) Argentina, France & World Cup 2002

Pele Prediction: Argentina & France will both reach the final.

Outcome: Both countries eliminated in the first round, France without even scoring a goal.

6) Escape To Victory

Pele Prediction: During the famous film starring Sylvester Stallone and Michael Caine, Allies star Pele is brutally fouled in the first half by the Nazi opponents. The injured Brazilian claims there is no way he can continue and is carried off. The Allies are 4-0 down, and a recovery is deemed impossible.

Outcome: Pele returns in the second half and inspires his team to an improbable comeback, even scoring a stunning bicycle kick. Even in fiction, Pele's predictions go wrong.

5) Ronaldo Is Finished

Pele Prediction: Ronaldo will never play football again, and his career is over, following a serious injury for Milan in February 2008.

Outcome: Ronaldo returns in March 2009 for Corinthians, scoring 10 goals in his first 14 games to win the Campeonato Paulista. Rumoured to be on the verge of a national team recall.

Ronald-over

4) Nii Lamptey – ‘The New Pele’

Pele Prediction: After starring in the 1991 Under-17 World Cup, which also featured Alessandro Del Piero, Pele proclaims Ghana youngster Lamptey as his successor, ‘The New Pele’.

Outcome: What happens next goes down in football infamy. Lamptey spectacularly fails to fulfil his talent, believing himself that he was cursed by dark forces. The midfielder shifts around clubs such as PSV, Aston Villa, Coventry, Venezia and Ankaragucu, without success, and endures tragedy in his personal life, as two of his children die.

3) Nicky Barmby - Up There With Zidane, Maldini & Ronaldo

Pele Prediction: Nicky Barmby will become a world class star.

Outcome: Nicky Barmby becomes nothing more than an average player, winning 23 England caps, and never even appearing in a World Cup.

Nick Barmby - 'The English Roberto Baggio'

2) Africa Will Rule

Pele Prediction: An African nation will win the World Cup before the year 2000.

Outcome: It is now 2009, and an African country has still yet to get past the quarter-final.

1) Brazil & World Cup 2002

Pele Prediction: Brazil won’t even get past the group stages.

Outcome: Brazil win the World Cup.

Brazil & Cafu - they won't get through

cotton wool is too soft he would suck it into that hole, through the exhaust running at 760 Horsepower

FamilyRe: Should I Build A House For My Dad by sleekdot(m): 7:05pm On Sep 05, 2011
Build for your mom alone, cos it seems your dad is rich enough to take care of himself

After building for your mom, continue building for yourself and your mom,

Cos in the long run, what you build for your mom belongs to you and your maternal siblings while the one for your dad you would start fighting with your half brothers for it and they might even attemot to hurt you over a property you built with your own money

Take care of your mom, All the care she was denied of, You are the husband that she never had and as you do more for her God would continue to bless you.

Did you mom re-marry?

Magath said to his players during the halftime of the Gladbach game that everyone who doesn't track when losing the ball would be fined €10k. Both strikers, Helmes and Mandzukic, had to pay the 10k.

Last week Magath tried to get rid of Helmes, but he decided to stay. Now it looks like he will be sent to the reserve team. Magath designed a special training program for him:

Magath: "When you are not good at something, you have to practice it. It's not his fault he never learned how to defend at his previous clubs."

Helmes' agent says that a global corporation like Volkswagen can't treat its employees like that. "The role of both coach and general manager apparently is too much for Magath."

Meanwhile @dudu
I hope you've noticed that we've sold off Sunu to Lorient? Its sad that strikers and defenders from our youth team aren't considered good enough for our first team. I hope Afobe makes it though, same with the guy from Gillingham - Freeman. Rhys murphy is another potential IMO but he's not had it good on the injury front and he is now at an age where he needs to play for the first team.
The youth policy is great as the prodiguous talents that are supposed to win trophies for Arsenal like Owuse, Sunu, Lupoli, Aliadiere, Fabregas Hoyte are shipped off to any willing buyer.

COINCIDENCE?

Ibime:
^^Nothing concern Bayern fans with how Gomez performs for der National Mannschaft.

All that matters is how he performs for Bayern.

As far as any Bayern fan should be concerned, Gomez > Klose.
Exactly. But I guess thats too much logic in one sentence for an Arsenal fan, It seems the requiremnt to be an Arsenal fan is extremely low IQ.

Its always a contest on this thread for who is the dumbest.

Dudu waiting for Man Utd to fall, Maybe he should contact Osama or Muttalab cos thats your best bet.

So people on this thread dont know the difference between talent and technical know how? is this the romance section?

A player like Quaresma, Denilson Olivera, Okocha is high on talent while a player like Fletcher, Didi Hamman, Klose is high on technical know how.

Technical know how is what makes ppl know when to dribble/Show skill and when to play it dirty

lari03:
Why is this thread the most active in the sports section?
The same reason why people gather to watch a lunatic, The same reason why people would rather watch Aki and pawpaw instead of Pat Utomi or Soyinka

The fans on this thread are the most 1d1otic and pathetic on this section

An example is someone like you who thinks Arsenal achieved something by being top 4, Arsenal has talents or Arsenal wanted to sign ferguson

If you say that in Oshodi, Wont thousands of people gather to watch you? In a sane society, they would call social services to come help you after those statements

http://www.soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/10955/miroslav-klose?cc=3888

how can you compare Klose of now(33yrs) old to Gomez who's like 20yrs ?
Compare Gomez to Klose of 2006-2010 when he was finishing top goal scorer in the bundes liga for Bremen; when he was finishing one of the top scorers in the UEFA cup; ewhen he was finishing second highest goal scorer in the UCL behind Messi ; and yes, when he was topping the charts of goals scorers in world cup and Euro Cup qualifiers.

Klose played alongside Lucatoni in Bayern but was able to exert himself. He finished top goal scorer in Bremen and Bayern inspite of injury spells.
Klose was top scorer in Bundesliga once, Gomez at 26 is also Bundesliga highest goal scorer

Klose at his peak scored 25 BL goals, Gomez last season scored 28 BL goals

In a season the best Klose has done is to score 7 CL goals, Last season Gomez scored 8 goals

I would take that over a striker whose team scored 6 and couldnt score any.

A striker who was offloaded to some midtable Serie A club called Lazio
