Princess2015: Thank you @ Sleekysilk,I have read from page 0 to about 17, I opened the link to calculate the CRS but still don't know how to calculate some parts. I see things like "if you are coming with a partner or not.pls help me out As a married principal applicant, u may choose to go to Canada alone and you may also choose to go with your spouse. Some people for some personal reasons might not want to go with their spouses. So I join CIC to ask you, 'Will your spouse or common-law partner come with you to Canada?' YES or NO |

redocean: Good people,
Sorry I have to ask a cheap question but guess it's better to ask than be ignorant.
Please where will I find these NA1, NA2 , IP1 and IP2 on my application status? will it come as an update or these are mere stages in the application process.
I have passed Med. and gotten UCI and still do not see these acronyms anywhere.
Thank you in advance... Let me try: Note that all these differences are seen under BACKGROUND CHECK (BGC) NA1 is when your background check is showing 'Not Applicable' before you paseed medical and sometimes even up till few days after you passed medical IP1 is when your background check changes and it's showing 'In Progress' most times same day as medical passed or a few days after NA2 is when your background check changes again and it's showing 'Not Applicable'. This is for the second time that's why we call it 2 IP2 is when your background check changes to 'we are processing your background check'. What is written in front of 'additional documents' too may change from time to time If you had noticed your BGC immediately after you got AOR you would have been able to see if there's a difference now that you passed medical. What I did was to munch my application details each time there's an update or I sight a difference in terminologies. Then I compare my screenshots. Hope this helps. So just go now and get a screenshot of your details as of this moment and next time u log into your account, compare your last shot with your current details. |

XX01: I dropped 3 points because my writing was 7 and not 7.5. Ok. I get now. That's not skill transferability. You dropped 3 points in official language under 'core human capital factor' and not skill transferability. 8777 with 2 or more certificates/masters and also with 3yrs experience gives you 100/100 in skill transferability. Check again.

XX01: I don't think so. You drop points for skill transferability if you don't max your IELTS. I had 9 in listening but 7 in writing and I dropped points. I have masters and 3 yes work experience. Really? Kindly reconfirm. |

4Barr: You don't need BL. for ECA purposes, LLB gives you the maximum scores obtainable besides obtaining transcripts from NLS is a longer process. Just apply for your LLB transcripts and certificate and mail to IQAS. It will be evaluated as equivalent to a masters degree. That's true o.. Na BL he write abi LLB? Sorry, I no too know the difference @OP, please na LLB o. Thank you 4Barr. |

distinctd: thank you so much for that. I have goggled the meaning of IQAS and have an idea of what it's about. But please, it means having to make some extra payments doesn't it? They're evaluating your foreign credential to determine the Canadian equivalency. So, YES, you will pay for their 'workmanship' and also pay for delivey of your report to you. |

Santino1: Even at that, you need 8.5 on listening to max out skill transferability. Naaaa. 8777 in LRWS plus 2 or more certificates/Masters/PhD plus 3yrs maximum work experience will give you maximum skill transferability 100/100 |

cochtrane: Lol. I was actually doing the same thing. Couldn't arrive at the score.
And I'm not so sure OP has a PhD. Bros, wetin make I talk na. PhD assumption things. GlitteringStar: Maybe he/she is married----got additional points from the spouse's ECA+IELTS
*How U dey?* Even with spouse ECA+IELTS, except either PA or spouse don school or work for Canada before. That's the only thing I've not considered The implication of less than 8 in listening is a whole 50 marks loss under skill transferability |

Does being a practicing lawyer in Nigeria have an added advantage for the immigration process?
What will be my highest level of completed education? Can my BL certificate be an equivalent of masters or entry to practice professional degree?
Thank you! YES @bolded. But your evaluation MUST be done by IQAS |

lilyandie: I kinda disagree, the result is pretty good, You need to calculate your score and that will help you decide I had reading 8, Listening - 7.5, Writing 7 and Speaking 8 and I still got 458 total. Waiting for PPR now Kindly shed more light on how you arrived at your CRS. This may be beneficial to every other person with a less than 8 score in listening. I used the tool with your IELTS as stated and assumed the following: Age- less than 30 PhD degree 3yrs max work experience CRS=432 and I later assumed you have sibling in Canada and CRS=447 |

Canadianfly: So I haven't really written how far with me coz work and pikins had person hand full. My 1st attempt of IELTS last month was 7.5 in Listening and I knew I had to register again plus WES decided to sit on both my degree and Oga's own. Anyway, I took the 14th October test in Abuja....those who took it that day knew what we went through with regards getting everything to work and we left the venue at almost 3pm. My results today: Listening - 9 Reading - 8 Writing - 7.5 Speaking - 8.5
Overall band 8.5. Just glad I'm done with British council . And I'm very grateful to God. Nice one. Congratulations! Wish you smooth sail from hereon |

What does this mean for canny p.r applicatio and whats d conversion in CLB?
I am a little bit worried about this score as i expected something better
Thank you Good morning. Unfortunately your Listening has to be a minimum of 8 for the result to be meaningful. Your other grades are okay. You may try your luck by asking for a remark in listening and at the same time if you have cash, try and register for another IELTS exam. Good luck! |

Deebay: Hello, Spouse evaluated only MSc, we declared both BSc and MSc, clicked no for ECA for BSc pré ITA. Post ITA there's only one pace holder for education, do we upload BSc certificate along with MSc eca and certificate and ielts? We claimed points for only MSc.. So how do we go about the BSc we declared? Thanks. It's usually only one place holder for education. Scan the MSC certificate, ECA report together with IELTS and upload as a single PDF document. You may not necessarily include the Bsc and you may if it will give u rest of mind. |
