Newmum0615: Good morning my people,
I need clarification on this age thing. Please see an excerpt from the CIC site. It may apply to me as my birthday may most likely fall in between ITA and when I submit my application. I want to know if I will need to recalculate my score if it happens? Or how is it done cos I see a lot of references to CRS scores reducing after ITA? Thank you.
Exemption to section A11.2: This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.[/i] Nwannem, I was in this situation some few weeks back as well. What I did was that I gathered all my documents including getting my POF and made sure everything was ready before ITA except for police report, medical and printing [/b]of bank statement (all these were done in 2 dyas) because I knew if i got ITA, I would have barely 1 week left before my birthdy. Though my e-family encouraged me to calm down that CRS scores are locked once ITA has been issued but I refused to take the risk because of all this CIC plenty grammar of 'It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2'. I wasn't confortable with all the 'MAY MAY MAY'. So I advice you do the same if possible. May God help us all. ITA- Sept. 20th AOR- Sept. 25th Birthday Sept. 27th Medical passed/UCI issued- Oct. 6th NA2- Oct 13th |

androsurf: Thanks for the quick response. I was posted to a secondary school, And all I did was teach. And the requirements I saw for teachers under NOC B is to have degree in education. Thanks No. Don't worry about that. Just get ur reference letter from the school. Your NOC shd be NOC A- 4031- secondary school teachers. And evaluate ur credentials with WES. You will get ECA for 2 or more certificates. |

androsurf: This thread is really an eye opener. I read all through the process and procedures the op gave, and also read some pages on the first thread. But I have a serious problem taking any step to get started. I would appreciate if anybody can help point me to the right direction with my qualifications.
I'm a graduate with OND and HND certificate in accounting. I scrolled through the NOC 0, A and B to see if I qualify as specified by the op, but some job requirements just got me confused. I have lots of passion for online digital marketing and I'm currently working on fiverr as a freelancer(offering whiteboard animation video making and editing with aftereffects, email marketing and some graphics design work) for now since jobs are not forthcoming. I am 28 years of age and I graduated in November 2015. I finished with my Nysc program this may 2017(I had delays before I was posted). Freelancing has been the job experience I have so far after my graduation, and it doesn't correlate with what I studied in school, video making and editing is just my passion.
With all the info above, please do you think I have any shot at this? If yes, which of the job under the NOC can I go for? And if I'm not qualified, what advice would you give to someone like me that will help me qualify in the near future.
Thanks and I'm sorry you had to go through my epistle... Check if the job u did at your NYSC employment is under NOC 0, A or B. If so, go to ur NYSC employer to get a reference letter in the specified format and you're good to go. What u need is a minimum of 1yr work experience. Your course of study does not matter here. Also, u will need to evaluate ur OND/HND. With your age u shd be fine and your CRS score should be nothing less than 440. Best of luck... |

Seyitorl: Hiaan.thank u o sis. i have thought of it. ( using unaccompanying spouse) He is also forming busy o. E be like say na only me the thing dey hungry. afi suuuru. I have calculated thr crs i got a 375. So lets say he doesnt make up to clb 9.say he is @ clb 5/6 .( dont want to raise my hope )i am aimimg at a 9.but if i end up at 8 nd he at a 5. Do we still stand a chance?
Is the 375 without his own IELTS? If yes, then max he can give u with his IELTS is 20 points = 395. Any score below 410 I would suggest you both agree on him not accompanying u at the moment. If you're about the same age, him being the principal with his 2 or more certificates would have earned you guys higher points with great IELTS score. Use d same calculator u used in arriving at ur 375 to determine whose profile fits more to be d principal.

Seyitorl: Gooday house. please i am also abt to embark on the ee journey but i am feeling worried. pls what else can a prinicipal applicant do to increase ones crs score in a situation when one's spouse doesnt want to write ielts.but we are getting spouses certificate ;the hnd nd ond evaluated .spouse has 5years experience on his job.(falls under noc A) My proffesion falls under noc B. I have a b.sc with 3+years experience. God bless you all. 1. Calculate ur CRS points with u as the principal, with spouse OND/HND evaluation but without spouse IELTS. If you're okay with your points, fine. 2. If your points are not okay enough, its either u try further to appease your spouse to do IELTS or you simply tell him you will fill him as an un-accompanying spouse and if he agrees to it, fine as well. Like I told mine when he was forming busy at work that no time to write IELTS, I said no problem, I cannot come and select married and accompanying and u won't make efforts to support me to beef up my CRS. When he knew I had an option of 'un-accompanying spouse, he quickly found time out of no time for d IELTS. CRS with him but without his IELTS was 419, CRS without him (un accompanying) was 435 CRS with him after IELTS was 433. That was how I chopped ITA last week. In fact all those times when CRS was 434, 435 he was just making jest of me upandan that so if he had 'unaccompanied' me na so I for don chop ITA since. Orisa boo le gbemi; shemi bo shey bami... Eeya, Pele oooo. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. To be PM no easy oo
I'm the Prime Minister i'm always here, i see everything, even last week's drama.Well, my IELTS is still in the hands of the 'holding committee'.I've been following up with British Council tho'.In the last mail i sent to them i told them that they are making my life difficult by making me to go through this agonizing wait. All they do is to appeal to me to be patient with them that they are following up.
Good to know that you're always here and see everything. BC shd stop toying with somebody's heart ooo. How much long patience
Although i don't have the funds handy i would have written another one but considering the fact that i'm still stuck with IQAS 9weeks it won't be wise to write another one for now since i cant enter the pool without ECA. I really appreciate the love here.Cheers
All will be well in God's own time. Hopefully BC & IQAS will come in at about same time |

Santino1: I think the real joker is the IELTS because it earned me the max 50 each on foreign work and education (for skill transferrability) like you rightly pointed out . I think most people here underestimate IELTS and ascribe more weight to degrees whereas the opposite is the case. Yes ooo. IELTS is the bomb plus having 3yrs or more work experience. Certificates and degrees dey follow for back. Na for naija here we dey fight say Bsc graduate is higher than HND graduate. I was humbled when I saw that HND graduates are rated higher than Bsc graduates according to CIC and even WES. Our government and institutions should have a rethink about HND/Bsc dichotomy. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by sleekysilk: 9:05pm On Sep 28, 2017 |
Santino1: Alright, my bad then... When I entered my MSc and Bsc, I got the same score as I would have if I had entered just MSc. Hence, I thought the same is applicable for OND/HND in view of the fact that one is 2 and the other is 3 years (just like MS and BS).
Once again, my bad. You be baba na. MSc alone gets more point than two or more certificates put together under the Human Capital Factor. But the real joker is maxing out the 100points under skill transferrability (with great IELTS scores and 3yrs work experience). Msc alone OR two or more certificates will carry 100/100. So for those with Masters degree, u can evaluate only ur Masters. And for those of us without masters degree but different orisirisi college/ polythecnic diploma + Bsc, we need to evaluate both. So long as one of the orisirisi is a 3 or more years program according to ECA |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by sleekysilk: 8:26pm On Sep 28, 2017 |
Santino1: I hope you are aware the "two or more degree" option is no longer available on the profile builder. Before you tell someone to calm down, why don't you ensure you are up to date first. Ogbeni Santino1, we are all here to learn and it will be good for u to humble yourself and learn. Yes, u will not expressly see the 'two or more degree' but after u input ur various qualifications and answer yes to if you have ECA for each of ur qualification the next drop down is to select what your ECA says ur credential is. All u have to do is select 2yr diploma against OND and select 3yrs certificate, diploma or degree against HND. Submit ur profile and u will be full of smiles when u see d CRS points CIC will allocate to ur education. Tested and trusted. Hope this helps. |

Do we have to collect any report from hospital. Pls help! I would advise you start talking to the hospitals where you both had the surgery. Just have the medical report handy in case you are asked for it when you go for your medicals so as to avoid going back and forth and putting yourself under unnecessary pressure. If not asked, then nothing spoil. |
