tarahray20: I'm just showing appreciation for their response should they respond. But God will bless everyone! Isokay! tarahray20: Hello everyone!
Please I am in urgent need to get these questions answered.
1. What is the best way to travel with my POF? Can I deposit it in a US Dollar Domiciliary account?
2. Is it better to rent a place to live from Naija or to get to Canada first?
3. Who has any info about Etobicoke area. Is is a nice place to live?
4. Where is the best place to purchase travel health insurance in Naija, or it's not necessary for Canada?
May God bless whoever responds to my questions abundantly. (and others too) 1. You can get PTA worth of 4K USD and change ur balance POF from BDC. Meaning u will carry all ur POF in USD cash and declare at immigration that you have over 10k USD cash. You may also decide to save it in your USD Domiciliary account and when you get to Canada, open a bank account and do transfer. 2. Yes, if you can. You can begin to search on rentfaster.ca and when you find what you like, you may call the landlord and plus with the help of a landed senior who can help you go and inspect it and conclude the transaction. Renting your own place before landing is cheaper and gives you comfort that you are going directly to your home from the airport. Otherwise, you get an air bnb accommodation for a week or two till u are able to get your own place. The truth is, if you're yet to get your own home, you won't be settled. 3. I don't know 4. I don't know. Other landed seniors can weigh in. |

Got this from another forum. Seems the PCC requirement is now only for long stretch 6 months stay 'in a row' and not piece meal accumulation.
I guess this is good news for ajala travelers. No more cumulative summing.

Jolao: Nothing is wrong with using speakers, it all depends on your concentration level, i wrote with MOD/ IDP and i had a good result. Wish you all the best Thank u jare. All these speaker headphone brouhaha sef. Coman ask those of us that started this IELTS journey since 2013-2014, na speaker for National Theater, Iganmu hall British council dey use. When did British council upgrade to headset sef. Early 2015. Apart from the MOD/IDP cost of EOR/remarking, I don't think there's anything wrong in using speakers. Just focus and concentrate. Wish everyone good luck. |

OJaySeenson: Friends...a little help o...
We are filling this AOR...and I just want to know, in the personal history section, is it ok to just list only the info that has been copied from the ITA? Or do we need to add everything all the way back to WAEC? Just concerned about how much of it can be verified. Also because most of it doesn't fit in with the NOC at all. Check my responses to fellow NLers just 3 posts above. |

adewumz: Hey people, I have a question regarding pof. My mum is providing my funds. I am a signatory to her account. I would like to know if I should just leave the money in her account and have the bank write a letter, identifying me as a signatory. Or should I just have it transferred to my personal account. Please advise. Thank you. Funds can ONLY be in the principal applicants or his/her spouse account. Your mum should transfer to your account and do you a gift deed.(notarised letter/affidavit stating she 'dash' you to support your migration). |

Guitarlife: I am a bit confused by "which ever comes first" , are you saying for a guy in his 30's he will go with last 10 years ? Yes. because it's shorter (comes first) than going back to when he turned 18 years which would be going back like 12 or more years. And if you're less than 28years old, E.g. 25years, going back to 18years means going back 7years ago and this shorter (comes first) than going back 10years to when you were 15. CIC is not interested in our (minor) lives before 18 |

JESUSisable: Please my people, I'm currently filling my application but am experiencing some challenge with PERSONAL HISTORY. I filled all my activities educational and employment since 2009 till date but each time I click submit it loads the page and says CONTINUE FORM.
What do i do pls? I guess personal history is the place you're to account for the past 10yrs of your life or since you turned 18years old. Check well to ensure you have accounted enough number of years. The 2009 you mentioned is like 8-9years. You should actually start from January 2007 to January 2018 to get 10 years And make sure you leave no gaps. i.e. if one activity ended on September, the next should start from October. It is allowed to fill an activity as 'unemployed' if u really were not doing anything that period. |

Kontagious: Hi ma, been a while, hope all is going well. I thought there's just one space for ECA number and date (pre and post ITA). Are you sure about the option of using two different ECAs?
I'd rather advice he adds the BSc to the WES evaluation, but this strike of a thing. Yes boss. I evaluated 2 degrees though with same body WES. The thing is, details of each degree is filled out separately one by one. E.g, Degree 1 NCE or AAT (for our PM) 1998-2000, ECA body- WES ECA Canadian equivalency- 3 abi 2 years diploma ECA date- 2nd January 2018 ECA number 12345678MM Degree 2 Bsc- 2000-2005 ECA body- WES (for our PM it will be IQAS) ECA Canadian equivalency- 4 years degree/diploma ECA date- 2nd January 2018 (for PM a different date because obviously IQAS report date will differ from WES) ECA number 12345678MM (for PM a different number because obviously IQAS report number will be different from WES) Those of us who used 2 degrees/certificate kindly confirm that you filled each degree one by one separately. because that was how mine was. And I'm fine. Thank you for asking. Trust you're good as well. |

McNoelle: Good morning all, I am new to this express entry route and would appreciate every advise as regards the EE pathway. I understand one has to sit for an IELTS test (achieve the required scores) and get his/her transcript assessed before entering the pool. My plan is to assess my transcript with WES but the question is how do I pay the assessment fee? I am looking forward to receiving your response. Thank you. Your understanding is correct. You can make payments with your Naira debit card (regular ATM card) and do well to read page zero |
