Jurisdy17: Good evening house. Please i want to make some clarifications. My hubby is not willing to relocate, but i intend to include him in the application process. I have written the test and awaiting result. Also about to start the ECA. Is it compulsory for him to write the test? NO it's not ( he is not willing to write oo) Do i have to verify his educational documents as well? NO, you do not So long as your own details can get you great CRS scores. Or better still, if you think your score is not good enough, you may reconsider ur intention to include him by selecting he's not accompanying you |

elfmann: Are u sure of that passport expiration clause? Yes. Very sure. E.g, if medical date is today 18/10/2017 and ur passport is expiring say next year June, your expected landing date and that will be stated on your COPR will be June 2018 as against October 2018 when ur medical is supposed to be 1yr. It might not even be the principal applicant's passport sef. It could be the spouse or any of the kids. Once any member of the family has a shorter passport expiration date compared to the 1yr medical, its d expiration date dey will stamp every member of that family. |

KINGTELLER: Please for those who have gotten their PPR... how long is one expected to leave the country (Nigeria) starting from the date of issue of the PPR. Can One stay for 1 or 2 years before departing? When you get ITA, you are to go for medicals before submitting your application (e-APR). so once your PPR comes, you have one year from the date of your medical tests or the date of your international passport expiration (whichever is earlier) to 'report' to Canada either finally or by way of 'soft landing'. Kontagious: Great. Funniest thing, IRCC specified size and dimension among some other measurement. The size I got was within range but dimension was a bit off. At least 420 x 540 is the required, Studio 24 sent me 413 x 531, though just a bit off, I had to rework it to avoid stories that touch. Paying N1,500 (x3) for the soft copy to me wasn't a great decision as a scan of the hard will do. Me I no sabi all these mathematics and measurement biko. So I just paid d #1500 and waka. After all d transcript, verification, WES, IELTSes, e-APR and RPRF money I no go wound my self because of #1500 calculation. Person wey don see 99 no suppose fear 100. Now na DHL money I dey gather awaiting PPR. |

Kmgb: Yes I have just wanted to be sure I wasnt missing something,because when I check accompanying,I only get to fill one language test result for him and not 2,either TEF or ielts, yes, spouse is expected to do only one language test. So u have to decide, its either IELTS or TEF and I need to know what I'll get if he does both language exams and his level of education is also not asked [/color].. Check well, there's a place they asked if your spouse has any education with an ECA I really appreciate your response. Thanks |

Kmgb: Thanks,will keep trying, just wanted to know what happens in d event he still doesn't agree. Thanks I appreciate your response a lot Just keep trying. I no it's not easy convincing men that are not so into abroad relocation things. Let him understand that whether he's accompanying or not, 1) he still has to do medical and PCC. 2) you still have to show proof of funds for the whole family 3) and for medicals and PCC the whole family have to get international passport if they don't have one already. So the only cost you're saving is application fee and RPRF. So really there's no point removing a spouse from one's application and facing another troubles few years later when u now decide to bring them in. Cc: KINGTELLER |

Kmgb: Hello everyone, thanks for the invaluable info on this thread,I only started reading from this part about a week ago and I just crossed pg200,pls I have some pertinent questions, 1.I'm married and spouse is unaccompanying(not interested in relocating)I hope getting a visiting visa (TRV) for him with our status as PR will be a breeze for him? 2.I'm 36yrs,over 10yrs work experience,masters degree,assumption of 8777 for ielts,unaccopanying spouse will do TEF and evaluate his foreign Masters in Architecture,kindly help evaluate my ECA,as I was not able to do this using the CRS tool once I choose unaccompanying spouse. 3.has anyone evaluated Masters in public administration from Unilag,which body did u use WES? 4.I've had work experience at just one place in the last 10yrs(bank) and I know they do not give reference letter in CIC format i.e with job description et all except u resign,I can only get a regular leave reference letter stating my level and department and my gross annual income addressed to the Canadian high commission,pls how can I work with this? Thank u as I anticipate your kind responses while I go back to my reading from pg201 Once u select un-accompanying, then u can't rake in scores using his details any longer. You are already being graded as though u are a single/unmarried applicant. So no need wasting money on TEF abi ECA. Only u wan chop all d whole CIC CRS finish? |

elfmann: Abeg oh.. Let me ask some questions: 1.Is there any clinic doing medicals on Saturdays? I know Children's Practice has stopped. Abi? 2.For the photo, how much does the Studio 24 collect? Can they give me 4 copies and a digital one? 3. Does Alagbon do PCC on Saturdays? These are gathering stuff pre-ITA. 1. Yes, no more Saturdays for CP 2. #1500 for hard copy -4copies and another #1500 for soft copy. They'll send to your email. So if na only u single that's 3k. You and madam na 6k plus children just dey add 3, 3k per shyde. 3. I don't think they do PCC on Saturday. But u fit ring inspector Moshood on 08034747802 to confirm Dazol |

Kontagious: Hard truth here. Though 425 looks more a comfortable zone, if the IELTS is retaken, how well can one guaranty that one or the two components already maxed out will not drop to acceptable base? Part or all the 6 points aimed for becomes lost.
Other factors where points can be gained is somewhat a stretch - additional degree; OND, HND, MSc. If already enrolled in a Masters programme, how soon will you be completing? Sure you would not forget to claim points from sibling if you have a PR sibling. cc: Jades27 Kponkwem! According to our seniors. Meaning; EXACTLY! |

sleekysilk: Ok. But sincerly, there's little you can do to improve your CRS. you already maxed out the scores for speaking and listening. Even if you retake IELTS to gain maximum points for reading and writing it's just gonna be an additional 6 points. i.e from 419 to 425. And I cannot say it's economical to do so. Therefore, once your ECA arrives, enter the pool, sit on your 419 and keep hope alive that CIC will do 'christmas' for us and do lesser CRS draws hopefully before your next birthday.
Cheerssss. |

Jades27: Hello Everyone,
I am new to this thread even though I have read from page 0 to a point. I recently passed my IELTS LRWS 8.5,7,7,7.5. I started my ECA with WES since september. LASU delayed the verification process and the status on WES currently is "in progress" I will like to know if;
1. Do i need to wait for ECA before taking any steps? 2. Using the CRS calculator my score is 416, Can this work? or what can I do to boost this point?
Looking forward to your response. I assumed you are with Bachelors degree and with age 32 I got 419 using the CRS calculator. Check again, because one mark is important in this journey |

Looking forward to your response. You have good scores. and 1. YES, you need to wait for ECA before taking further steps 2. 416 is a bit on the low side but CIC can still surprise us with low draws. That aside, are u single or married? If married, your spouse may need to take IELTS as well and probaly also get ECA done to support your current scores. |
