Iyamefa: Hello guys, wonderful job being done here. Pls I need some assistance. I’m sure it has been discussed here before so pls forgive my inability to find it. I would like to know the whole process for getting credential accessment for a Medical Doctor as well as exams/licensing to be done in Canada after landing in order to practice. I know the process is a bit different from other professions but I don’t have the specifics.
Kindly assist with any information.
Thank you Yes, the credential assesmemt process is different, done by MCC. Just search for Vcole and read up her posts, I don't know the exact page on the previous thread she gave full details. Probably our data analysts (cochtrane or GS) can help us with direct link. You may request to pm her as well. All the best. |

Bsbabe: Good morning everyone. Just to update you on the individual that got an unfavourable evaluation on her ICAN which I posted sometime ago. Apparently, she has found out the reason why the evelaution came out unrecognised. When she contacted WES, she was told she was evaluated as someone who earned a ‘Certificate of Membership from ICAN’ and not as an ‘Associate of the Institute’. She says that’s probably because she selected “ICAN” and not “Associate of the Institute” when registering with WES. So Wes wrote ICAN to confirm Certificate is genuine and evaluated as certificate of membership. Now she’s starting another one, she says she now sees that one can select “Associate of the Institute” and that’s what she’s doing this time.
This is just to guide other people evaluating ICAN. She is 2013 if I remember correctly and she states she has met a 2010 person with positive evaluation. So maybe it’s not the year? I don’t know. Please note that I do not have ICAN and have no further information or insights on this. I just thought to report what I was told in case it helps someone. Thanks. You do well. Bambam4you: 1) Yes, Bsc + AAT is the same as Bsc + AAT + ACA.
For the avoidance of doubt, Bsc + AAT will get you the 32 points for Two or more degress/diploma. With Bsc + AAT + ACA you would still get the same 32 points for Two or more degress/diplom.a
2) No. No extra fee. It is the same fee.
3) AAT is not there but ICAN is there. ICAN is the institute that conducts AAT, so you choose ICAN. Thanks for clarifying. I usually tell my friends and families that are in this journey to use WES except of course you're evaluating a LAW degree (LLB) which IQAS will evaluate more favorably. After all sef, the fast processing time that made many of us abandone WES and start patronising IQAS is no longer fast. And of course another reason some people prefer IQAS is the time and cost saving on verification if their institutions charges a separate fee for sending transcript and also for verification. In all, may lines fall in pleasant places for us and may everything end in praise. |

Talkingboy: With my understanding bro, Ur Bsc is just 3 yrs degree or more
ur Bsc + ACA should be Two or more degrees with one having at least 3 yrs .
I stand to b corrected tho You are correct! |

yeyerolling: d bsc already gvs u max points. Aat is not msc na. I also hv aca which i did not evaluate We have seen people here on this forum evaluate their AAT and WES gave positive assessment as a 1year certificate/diploma. So in addition to the BSc, the person got points for 2 or more certificates/degrees and not BSc alone. In recent times too, ICAN ACA was evaluated by WES as a Bachelors degree and the applicant also got points for 2 or more certificates/degrees. Although there's this confusion as to the year of ACA qualification as some said WES only evaluates for people that qualified with d new syllabus starting from 2014. But as for AAT, it has always got a positive evaluation. You may want to reconsider evaluating ur ACA because I read a few weeks back where someone said his 2010 ACA got positive evaluation too |

Guitarlife: Thanks for your time, yes I ask too many questions but isn't that the whole essence of the thread ? Everyone keeps reprimanding me for asking too many questions but none has been magnanimous enough to even respond to the enquiry, haba !
Hello people the journey has started thanks to everyone that has encouraged me.
I spent a good number of hours sorting thru NOCs and I finally found one that fits my job description of 4 years but the job title is totally different.
I am nominating 2241 Electrical Electronic technologist while my present job title is about managing Automated Teller Machines.
My plan is to state my job role on my company reference letter to indicate I design, operate, support bla bla bla ATMachine emphasis on ATM hard ware and electronic banking systems support and repair.
Now can these fly cos if it can I can claim 4 years of work experience + my masters in electrical eng + good ielts and age =31 next year.
I need good advise, wont the VO reject it and say it doesnt match ? You have found, you still want approval, Even 2 people already answered you. Na wao. It is really wa! Ogbeni! Goan start from page zero. Shebi u dey find reprimand. Or better still go to CICs official website and read the instructions |

stealth02: Please @mamacajah get into the pool asap if you have completed your ECA. For every birthday after the age of 35 you will lose 5 CRS points. I personally experienced this (no thanks to IQAS). The new tie-break rule also gives applicants who have stayed longer in the pool an early mover's advantage.
One of the reasons I'll suggest people to carefully explore all their options before requesting an EOR. Each individual's personal circumstances differs. Once you are in the pool your age is frozen even if you didn't receive an ITA before your birthday. It's for every birthday after the age of 29. Once u hit 30, minus 5, u hit 31 minus 5 again and so on Your age does not freeze while in d pool oooo.... If you're yet to get ITA your age keeps decreasing at every birthday. It is until you get ITA that 'they said' your age will freeze. Let's be guided on information we give out so as not to mislead people. We will all celebrate at the end by God's grace. |

Kmgb: Thanks a lot,but I thought that was my personal identification number? Pls do you mean that's the account I will do a transfer to in standard chartered, pls forgive me too many questions, I'm confused I want to believe u got a mail. Whatever number you're seeing now is your personal reference/identification number like u rightly said. The account number is not written out expressly. It is to be formulated using some digits representing the city you want to write the exam, some more digits representing the month of exam and the rest digits representing some number from your international passport. So even if me and you are writing same city, same month, we cannot have same international passport number. Hope you get now. Read the mail u received well and you'll grab it |
