VOTE OF THANKS!

I appreciate everyone of us for the congratulatory messages. May all our dreams and aspirations come to pass. It's indeed not a journey for the faint hearted.

Is it my OOU transcript and WES application that took 14 months, abi the tension to get ITA with my 433 which came exactly 7days before my birthday plus my medicals that they said I should go get a report from LUTH that was on strike which was waived... It can only be God.

And to the great people of this thread that thought me 'the boys scout way' to get all my documents readily scanned and properly named for easy uploading.

ModupeOluwa, modupe lowo gbogbo yin. Many thanks to everyone. It shall end in praise for us all.

Hi @sleekysilk, meant no harm; was just stating a counter argument, so that we can see it from different perspectives . However if my stating that i dont quite agree made you feel some kind of way, apologies. We are all learning here.

Congratulations @ray78. Happy for all PPR recipients
Hello Sis, no shaking. I did not feel any kind of way o... We're all on the same page. I just tried to analyze the 2 scenerios. TRV application after ITA (this person to me stands a better chance because if I'm the VO I will think he/she would not want to jeopardise his ITA/PR application by overstaying) but the person with TRV application before ITA... (you tell me say make I give you visa to go come back, while I still dey reason the thing, all of a sudden you come say you want PR) I go just tell you say kukuma wait fo your PR except na exam you wan go write abi you need serious medical attention that can wait for PR approval.
NOTE: If na me be the VO ooooo...

I don't quite agree; so far as he is honest. When i applied for d visa i had Ita and i stated it there. I got the visa. All you need to prove is that you don't intend to migrate ILLEGALLY. Maybe because i stated that i was going for my sis' graduation sha. The visa came after the graduation
Hello Yokus, there's no need to agree or disagree. I said 'likely'- meaning 'probable' and it's in bold letters. And if i get you well, you already had your ITA before you applied for your TRV so I'm guessing you had the opportunity to explain in your LOE. The OP already applied for TRV and possibly stated in his LOE that he does not have intentions to migrate. Anyway, let the OP do whatever makes him feel relaxed. I'm not a VO, all these contributions are simply based on a few experiences we all have gathered over time either directly or by learning from others. @dupyshoo already 'hit the nail on the head' by saying if his purpose of visit is IMPORTANT he'll get his TRV approved. Trust we're all on the same page. Good morning to y'all my e-fam

By this last draw it will drop to 431-432 because currently the next draw stands to get 2512 ITAs comfortably even if the next draw is 431. My point is based on the profiles on 431- 1200.
I don't see it coming down to 421-430 as that will be issuing 3,246 in addition to 2512. Might happen though but 5,758 ITAs at once? Not sure but possible
I think you should expect to make the next draw. After then we can look at the last standing.
Bear in mind that before the next draw a lot of people world wide will get their IELTS result and some their ECA. These people will join the pool (Hephgirl and co). So the bolded number will definitely increase.

Hello Sleekysilk,
I just want to confirm if you are sure that even if the validity of the passport is less than 6months , CIC can still go ahead to stamp the COPR? Mine expires soon.... next year
If the validity of the passport is less than 6months at the time the VO is ready to issue your immigrant visa plus COPR, I want to believe u will get an ADR to upload a new passport. So once you have less than 6months and you are yet to get PPR, just go and renew ur passport. You may decide to raise a CSE or wait for ADR.

I am not sure they will reject the TRV application jsut because of ITA? It might not make sense to have TRV if he/she does not have plans to travel to Canada before PPR. If he/she however has plans to do something very important in Canada, say to write professional exams before PPR, then I believe he/she should still be able to use the TRV. It is not all applications that are processed within 3 months. Some people even wait for over a year.

@Madcow, you can read this link below for more information about having dual intents.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/dual.asp
Thanks my able senior. You're right with the 'something very important' part. @Madcow, go thru the link and get
the information you require. But your purpose of visit needs to be really convincing.

You still have to consider also that, sometimes when you withdraw an application, it returns and counts to you as a REFUSAL(read this somewhere on NL). I think it has to do with how long since its been submitted or something like that. Well, I don't think you should mind withdrawing your application still though, but I'd suggest after eAPR or AOR. No other reason than, incase the withdrawals comes as a refusal, you won't have to fill it in your PR application. Make sense?
Oh! really? If that is the case then we have to take caution.

Yes, I know but I dont want to expense money on her doing all that , she is not really showing much interest and I can't afford to raise much money doing IELTs and ECA for her (Lots of project on ground to do my brother).... To be frank with you the purpose of doing this thing is to secure my child future not that I too really have much interest as such
Ok. Since you know, and you have planned it out, go ahead with your plans. But u guys wait o... all these spouse doesn't have interest, plus principal too no get interest abeg make una reduce the number of people in the pool for CIC to reduce CRS na. Na joke I dey joke ooo. I dont know how cash tight you are anyway but I still feel paying for IELTS for your spouse even if u want to avoid ECA should not be that bad. Afterall, you still have to pay for her medicals and PCC plus show POF for her and every family member even if she's not accompanying you. God that will provide all the other funds can also provide IELTS money if you ask him to.
My thoughts though. Final decision is yours.

Yes, once I fill her as unaccompanying, I maintain my points. but if I click "YES" for spouse accompanying, my CRS score reduces
She can do IELTS and possibly ECA to up your CRS back to 432 if not more. The only reason why you will hava a lower CRS is if youfill her as accompanying and she did not support you with her IELTS and ECA.
An accompanying spouse with IELTS &ECA will give almost same CRS as a non accompanying spouse. CRS might even be more sef

Hi all. Im posting this on behalf of a friend turned sister. Another PPR rain! She's a silent reader and asked that I should do this for her.

It's PPR This is to let us know that PPR is not 'scarce' as we think. So many silent readers chopping PPR every week. She says...

'My journey won't be complete without me saying thank you to you wonderful pple on this platform after 4 ITAs don't let me bore you with reason for 4 ITAs, one rejection ( caused by me did not attach my second page of UK PCC) PPR landed this morning. Thank you all our Canny dreams would come to life by God's grace.'

Timeline is this

IELTS MAY 13
WES MAY 29
First ITA June 29

The second and third can't remember but was rejected with third.

Fourth ITA Sept 20th
AOR Sept 23rd
Medicals passed Oct 4
NA1 Ip1 NA2 don't know did not follow up
Ip2 Oct 17

Many thanks.

The TRV was for "General Visit" not study.
You still ave to cancel the TRV. Because for visiting, you are to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you don't have intention to stay back, that you are retuning to your country after the visit. Now that u have an ITA, that clearly negates ur intent because it means you have plans to permanently live in Canada. Based on ur dual (contradicting) intentions, ur TRV is likely to be rejected. So it's best you cancel it yourself. Hope I'm clear enough.
