Personally, I really don't see the big deal with logos. Build a great product and your logo is set, imho. If Steve jobs had been holidaying in some vineyard in France, we would be calling the company grape today. I doubt if any thought or significant investment went into the logos of intel, Honda Mercedes or BMW. Build your product and the world will beat a path to your door. A fancy logo is just the icing on the cake. My own opinion.

I bought about 17k a bag, before this issue escalated though. It isn't even scarce like people claim, maybe they also didn't know it is local.

You think it's easy doing business in Nigeria? When you have a company as big as Innoson, we can discuss. Until then, go tell the government to give incentives to companies across the country. Any company or Entrepreneur should be given some incentive, either big or small.

I remember it took even nairaland complaint calling for Innoson to expand beyond the east. This was before the emergence of JAC.
Now JAC has a based in Lagos and possibly expanding. I see more of their vehicles than Innoson.

Innoson is my role model and I believe that if you are a lover of industrialization and u plan to be an industrialist in any time of your life, Innoson should be a big source of motivation to you.

In 2005, I was in the village in the East at about 8PM. While on the bed with my back against the wall and also pressing my phone, something moved its head forward as it it was trying to sit beside me. I subconsciously assumed it was a lizard but something reminded me that a lizard never goes near humans like the object.

At this stage I had not paid attention to it...

So after my mind reminded me that a lizard does not come near human like it just did, I took a look and saw it was snake. It didn't bite me but just laid its head on the pillow that was beside me...

I ran out in a hurry and called my cousins cos it was a family compound... I spent most of my years in Lagos and so, things like snakes are not my thing. My cousin came out and started looking for it. OMO, like its typical with snakes, we didn't find it and this was less than 5 minutes. I told them it is inside there and there is no way it would be out already.

They pulled the bed and saw it coiled in circle... my cousin hit it with stick and it became unconscious. It was burned that night.

While still reeling in my shock of what I had just escaped, our in law who is married to the daughter of my father's brother's daughter said in their village, they do not kill snakes... especially python.

I just told the man that okay...

well, since that day till today, I do not sleep in that house when I go to the village.

With a plethora of complaints from different sectors regarding the nature of our locally produced rice, I am compelled to ask, in your own experience, which Nigerian brand of local rice is the best?

I know or believe that there are local rice brand that are clean, stone-free and can compete with the foreign ones.

Please help us with picture, not just words... Give us a name

if you work in any of the mills that produces rice or you live in a state that produce rice, kindly represent your company or state and help boost its revenue by duly representing her on here. brag and mention her name.

When this thread hits front page, which I believe it will, this will get attention and automatic sales for the brand.

I do not want to join others to complain and that is why I want to give this platform to those who produce the best brand of local rice.

With all the efforts of the present administration to encourage the cultivation, production and consumption of locally produced rice, one reoccurring complaints from Nigerians is the presence of stones in the rice.

Many people will even accept to pay more for a foreign rice over a cheaper local ones. Some dubious marketers have even gone to the extent or rebagging local rice as foreign.

I wish to call on the government Local, States and the Federal to invest in establishing state-of-the-art modern Rice Mills. Even private businesses can own one, especially in States with rice farming. Also existing Mills needs to be upgraded immediately.

I believe a well processed local Nigerian Rice will encourage patronage and consumption.

Igbo people are known to carry out their trading activities around the world. So it's not limited to Hausa Fulani enclaves in the multi ethnic Northern Nigeria.

There is no evidence to suggest that Igbo are anti people. There are significant Hausa quarters and very vibrant ones across Igboland. These people live peacefully with their host communities and run businesses that are within their mental and physical capacity. I am not talking about the Abdulsamads that are less than 0.0001% of their kinsmen.

The Adamawa boy that works for me has been in my stead for over ten years. I put him in school and he's doing well. However, the average Igbo is a very ambitious person, and that may be unsettling to some people. Any other negatives you want to attribute to them is debatable.

Mr. Rabiu is free to invest in Igboland. No harm would befall his business. There is no precedent for that. All right?
