Cutealexio: The Lagos-Ibadan rail will start operations soon. This rail will link both Lagos ports, Ogun State and Ibadan dry port which will help decongest Lagos port. I'll also suggest that Ogun State (most industrialized State in Nigeria) should construct dry port which will be linked to the rail. Rail is the best way to move around logistics no doubt cargo airport is one the way. |

And to avoid the scenarios leading to the APC losing Bayelsa state. Let just watch out keeping close tabs as events continue to unfolds. All the same I strongly remain Apolitical did APC didn't see those discrepancies before making him their chosen candidate? abeg fly |

Yebosola: Are u from Edo, uve been saying this always, yet u threw him under the bus, pikins full NL, do u think is all about Oshio, all politics are local, it will do u like magic, 14 legislators and elders are waiting for him at the poll, once again, ask for the meaning of politics is local, they are ahead of him tey tey and still planning My mother's name is Izogie. Relax, the "No to godfatherism" that Osho challenge will not be allowed for him to use... This can only happen in Lagos I do not think that Obaseki has not had the necessary local network. A man so vibrant like him can not do so if he does not have the local network. Calm down and watch what will happen. Like one respected Benin man said on Twitter, APC is about to experience something that destroy them. |

Politics › Re: APC Group To Tinubu: You May Not Have Platform To Contest 2023 Presidency by Sleevia: 11:51am On Jun 13, 2020 |
festacman: If Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is destined to be president of Nigeria, it will surely come to pass. At the ripeness of time, key factors will combine favourably for him to fulfil his destiny. But if he is not destined for that exalted seat, he will never sit there. Atiku Abubakar is an example. He had things all set up and came very close as influential VP but today, he still far from the target.
In any case, APC cannot disintegrate because an unnecessarily rebellious Gov. Godwin Obaseki was schemed out of reckoning by the same person who schemed him in four years ago. So, Tinubu should be left out of this political fight between 'father and son'.
The truth is that no active politician anywhere in the world can tell you that he or she hasn't suffered one setback or another. So Obaseki should take this blow on his chin like a man, count his losses and move on a better politician. You are just using Lagos Politics to permutate... when it is time, Benin people will do the needful! this is not Lagos. |

Malawian: APC didn't win an election into Edo state, They got a kangaroo Court ruling to install Oshiomole. PDP was ruling through Oserienme Osunbo. they actually won that election. People came out and voted for oshiomole. I was in Benin and I know what happened. Lucky looted Edo state and did nothing, which is what gave APC power. |

Juliusmalema: I disagree Mr Oyegun
Edo is APC state.
The problem was that Obaseki went late to see the godfather of yoruba politics (Tinubu) knowing fully well his state is a Yoruba state and the people has APC at heart.
To me the visit should have been more earlier. I think his actions got Tinubu angry. A stitch in time saves nine How is his state a Yoruba state? If it were igbos now, u cretins will call it attache by force. Benin blood flows in me and was raised by Benin people and I know who owns Edo state as majority. Sit this one out... PDP owned that state at one time but let's watch and see what will happen. |

Also, as dualcore1 said up there, getting GitHub and LinkedIn profiles is really helpful as well. Yes, it is help but blog will showcase your skills more than you can imagine... A blog I know is about to be sold for $xx,x x x why? why would anyone want to buy a blog for such high figures? Only something valuable can command such. |

Sleevia: See, set up a blog and get your SEO right for what people are searching for.... It will amazing you how many clients you will generate. Even big brands do not joke with this aspect of internet marketing.
I was minding my business jeje when someone sent me an email one day. He told me he found my website and would like me to teach him something I talked about on my website. I didn't take it serious.... now imagine if i was serious in building my brand? imagine how much I would make. @DanRay1, let me also add that it was an American that contacted me.... The truth is, people are constantly searching google, bing and yahoo... and those who position themselves will capture those searchers. |
Webmasters › Re: How Much Should Be The Minimum Earnings Of A Developer? by Sleevia: 2:57pm On Jun 12, 2020 |
DanRay1: Okay. You wouldn't call website builders amateur but that contradicts your argument against my initial position that web dev is saturated. How are you going to get clients when they can use web builders? How much do you think you'd be paid?
Web dev as we see it has changed a lot. Basic page development has been taken over by automation. To be able to stay relevant you have to learn more stuff like e-commerce, business management systems etc See, set up a blog and get your SEO right for what people are searching for.... It will amazing you how many clients you will generate. Even big brands do not joke with this aspect of internet marketing. I was minding my business jeje when someone sent me an email one day. DanRay1: I haven't failed at anything. Matter of fact I'm not even into web dev. I do Android and iOS. So watch yourself with the hasty assumptions.
Marketing is key, I agree. But it would be easier if amateurs didn't provide a cheap alternative for clients. there is a nothing amateurish in this... Small scale businesses may not be able to pay your fees. You are best suited for those that need custom designs. Web hosting companies now have website builder as one of their service they upsell to domain registrants... Would u call them amateurs or they are smarter by marketing? |
Webmasters › Re: How Much Should Be The Minimum Earnings Of A Developer? by Sleevia: 1:32pm On Jun 12, 2020 |
DanRay1: Web dev is saturated and watered down. Unless you are really good at what you do, and you work for top clients, then you'd be competing with all these bootcamp interns and copy and paste Indians.
In the 2000s, web devs made a lot of bucks just designing a HTML CSS static page. Not anymore.
Anyway, to the question. I'd say it depends on the project. But a project as basic as three pages of static website should be pegged at 200k. The problem is many of you get the talent and fail at the marketing.. But marketing brings the money. No matter how good a product is, if it failed its marketing, it would hardly sell. What if I told you that I know someone who does not code but has managed to build a multi million business out of just WordPress set up? You guys should learn marketing... It is very important. How many of you have a blog where you talk about what you do? Do you know how much that alone can bring when it is well optimized? But you are here saying it is saturated... That sound to me like someone who has failed at positioning. |

It's definitely going to be harder in Lagos, but can surely help in other parts. Like, the Feds can provide money to the states, who will subsidize the local farmers to continue production through this and facilitate transport to different LGAs where the heads and trad rulers will facilitate distribution All man for himself bro.
