Say what youpu know. Usually a prophet does not have the power to cancel a prophecy. It is the recipient of the message to take measures in other to cancel it. God was to destroy Neniveh, the people repented and hence God didn't destroy them. God destroyed Sodom because the people didn't repent nor heed to the prophecies. Pharoah's case was the same too.
