No mind them.

Is a phone not a western technology?

You can't be against western ideologies/education and be using a western technology.
You are beginning to make sense these days ooo. keep it up grin grin

solopumpy227: You guys are kids. Showing hatred towards Hausa/Fulani for their many "sins" is not helping President Jonathan and his FG.

You guys talking bravely and fighting the war with your key-boards in the comfort of your rooms. I can assure you the Main Man has, probably, not slept for two hours in the last two days. War is not a tea party and when you are left with the option of turning guns against your own people then you there will be weaknesses in your strength.
Senseless post from a clown. Whats your point kid?

Demdem: What suicide?
Foolish thread, foolish poster..
Big Suicide oooo. Anyway you have posted senselessly as usual.
PoliticsRe: ACN Commits Political Suicide by slimghost(m): 12:32pm On May 16, 2013
ilugunboy: Ultimately..it's a mix of common sense, politics and compromise. Am sure the military hawks must have suggested a full control of the SOE with Milads...but the politicians too will have outlined the backlash from some Nigerians such course of action can lead too....at the end of the day, they would have agreed on the present compromise that produced the contraption now in place. ( with close eyes on 2015 politics playing a significant part)

Our prayers here is that since the govt have now gone for the broke...this will break the deadlock.
You have earned my respect on Nairaland for your ability to put Nigeria first before your tribe. kudos
PoliticsRe: ACN Commits Political Suicide by slimghost(m): 12:12pm On May 16, 2013
Noiseless2: Yes! It has always been their game plan to pour more fuel on the burning house as long is it's not yorubaland.
This is not time for this. Many Yorubas i know support the SOE. Cut'em some slack.

ilugunboy: I hear this statement every time from most northern leaders... Can someone tell me how OBJ did this? These people are shameful to say the least.
My Brother, the type of ignorant and arrogant statements coming from these Northerners is baffling. They are gradually making it difficult for any sane Southerner to vote for any Northern candidate because its obvious these guys plan to enslave us again. We say NO to Hausa/Fulani dominance. Ruling Nigeria is not their birthright. Scumbags
PoliticsRe: ACN Condemns Declaration Of State of Emergency! by slimghost(m): 5:36pm On May 15, 2013
AnanseK: Right to detain suspects for 48hours! Do you know how many thousand suspects are in various detention centers and many of them have been there for months and even years and Without charging them to court?and with no SOE in place?
You think JTF have been using warrants to search houses in Maiduguri and Yobe?
Total offensive on BH enclaves ? When over 2000 houses and were destroyed and over 200 civilian men women and children were killed by JTF in Baga there was no SOE.So tell us something new to make us celebrate the SOE and the hope it brings to Nigerians.
Bunch of lies!! Shows you for what you are, a pathetic hater!!! Hide your head in shame
PoliticsRe: 2015:Nigerdelta Oil Belong To The North, We Will fight for it -- Farouk Aliyu by slimghost(m): 5:16pm On May 15, 2013
Reptyle: 85% of Nigeria's oil is not controlled by the North! 100% of Nigerian oil is controlled by the federal government of Nigeria with a man from the South as the current helmsman! States in the South-South or oil-producing States as they are called, get the lion share of resources derived by the federal government from the sale of Nigerian oil!

Bayelsa State gets one of the highest share of these funds from "our oyel" and is still one of the least developed States in Nigeria. Would you blame the Northerners for that too?
What is this one talking about? huh huh huh huh huh. Am talking of oil block licenses and you are here blabbing.

Jonathan should fold his arms and watch the country explode from terrorism so that ACN could use that against him come 2015. Thats their alternative sir!
PoliticsRe: ACN Condemns Declaration Of State of Emergency! by slimghost(m): 5:00pm On May 15, 2013
AnanseK: My Solution for you to foward to authorities Sir;
President uses the 3 trillion Naira budget, his well trined intelligence officers in the army, SS and the police and the political advisors, the Ministers and the Governors to find specifically(not speculations) who is/are behind Boko Haram. He will then come on to National TV and announce the names of the suspects and they are tried in one week all their assets frozen and they are executed in Eagle Square Abuja.
Then we will praise him and love him and make him president for many more years, as an able an d intelligent leader. His stste of emergency will only increase bloodshed. This is my honest opinion.
How old are you? huh huh huh huh huh huh huh What a senseless post!!!!!
PoliticsRe: ACN Condemns Declaration Of State of Emergency! by slimghost(m): 4:59pm On May 15, 2013
Reptyle: Say we go with the SOE as declared, how does it change the situation on ground? I mean like, beyond giving it a high fallutin name like "State of Emergency" and increasing the number of soldiers on ground in the affected states, how is this move radically different from the former strategy?

If you ask me, this pronouncement is nothing but an expansion of the already existing JTF. I do not think any of the governors of the affected states has had a say in the security arrangement of their states in recent months. The JTF takes instructions from Abuja and not from the governors. The new military coordinators of the state will still take instructions from Abuja. So I ask again, what exactly has changed pre and post SOE?
Let me answer my question son.
With this SOE, the military now have total control of all decisions concerning security in those states. They now have the right to detain suspects more than 48 hrs without charging them to court. They can now also search any building without warrant, be it the Governor's lodge or guest house, and more-so, they can now declare total offensive on Boko Haram's enclaves with no fear of backlash from activists, state governments and co.
PoliticsRe: ACN Condemns Declaration Of State of Emergency! by slimghost(m): 4:50pm On May 15, 2013
Timehin: Lai mohammed and his ACN > APC amnesty apologists should be branded "PUBLIC ENEMIES" cos they've now confirmed they don't have the interest of nigerians at heart but only after power at the centre.

They only politicise issues instead of proffering solutions, so must Gej fold his hands and allow the whole country go up in flames huh Are those nigerians being killed daily in the north not humans and must that be allowed to continue to appease BH and those apologists because of politics huh

Lai and his cohorts are a disgrace to the yoruba race.
ACN are in panic mode because they know that GEJ got this one right. They would have loved the terrorism to continue and consume the whole country so they can see what to blast GEJ's administration with, having the 2015 election in mind. ACN is a party of traitors. This is national security FGS and they are still politicizing it. i spit on them all.
PoliticsRe: ACN Condemns Declaration Of State of Emergency! by slimghost(m): 4:45pm On May 15, 2013
AnanseK: ACN has explained how non functional and futile the Presidents prescription is and I agree with them fully.Instead of insulting Lai Mohammed, you intelligent Nigerians should tell us how more force and more violence by the state can bring peace to the country.
The solution? Give the Military the power to make decisions on anything that has to do with security in those states. Give them a free hand to fully engage the terrorists. This is war and you don't play stupid politics with it.

I didnt say you were the one insulted....never said that!

There was a "curser", to which the person you reported was responding. Your show of goodwill, " good Nairalander" as you called it, is a hidden motive for selective and harmful intent towards those who are ideologically different from you. In a show of true goodness do you report the defender and excuse the attacker?

I blame ikenna who has made it acceptable and rewarding for people like you to snoop around looking for people to bring back to him for restrictions.

Shame on you and your warlord ikenna.
Ok i get your point now. Next time i will report both the "curser" and the "cursee" grin grin

Land_of_M&H:
Hey dude,

this is not your village classroom where pupils are choked from freely expressing their mind. This is Nairaland, it is stewpid indeed to expect that a political discussion forum will be free of heated personal exchanges like your reference above. Heated exchanges are part and parcel of political competition.....it comes with the territory.

You are by your own action harming other forumites when you police the threads looking for violators to report and hence you violate rule#2. Controversial topics are posted daily. The topics are themselves provoking, so most of the provocation and accusations are fed by topic lines. In your reference above yhe prrson you are telling your brother kkenna to ban stated with clarity that his opponent should stop cursing. So you failed to report the original offender but want the respondent banned. I suspect the initial offender was ibo.....so your wanting a non-ibo person banned is biasly protective and a deliberate harm to this person and in violation of rule #2.

Ikenna, i am suggesting you review this situation and UNDERSTAND that if you ban the reported person you must likewise ban this reporter, slimghost, in addition to the original offender.

More generally, you must have learnt by now that people don't just act spontaneously to attack or abuse one another, they respond to the passion of the topic. Therefore I encourage that you include a restriction on topics. By doing that you will proactively avert what would later build up to attacks and counter-attacks. If you feel this is impractical, then you will understandthe impacticality of censoring passionate political expressions and realize that you cannot keep banning people for eternity, pretty soon you will give up and the attacks will follow the hot topics which are directly in relation to the political temperament of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Ngige needed a run off to defeat Dora, so whats ur point ignoramus? Yes, Ngige is more popular than Dora in Anambra North but still needed a run off to beat her. Last time i checked, Peter Obi embarrassed Ngige at the polls in 2010 and there was wild celebrations everywhere. STFU if you know nothing about Anambra politics. Peter Obi's strong point is the rural people and they count massively during elections kid.
