PoliticsRe: PDP Convention: Can Saraki Pull Another Surprise? by Slimmacho: 8:59am On Oct 05, 2018
majekdom2:
thank you! Atiku came back to PDP immediately after he didn’t get a chance in the APC. Although Saraki and Atiku have both failed the loyalty test, I think Saraki failed more and watch him become silent if he doesn’t get the ticket. Wike is a strong factor to consider inbPDP and considering Atiku’s investment and business relationship in the state.
Saraki failed more?
I BAN YOU FROM NAIRALAND, Nairabet and Bet9ja for saying that.

Saraki has been the reason PDP hasn't gone into oblivion, he's the reason many lawmakers haven't decamped to APC.
He has placed PDP members in strategic positions in the House.
He has always been a PDP in APC clothing in the house.
If you no sabi politics, you'd better keep shut.

If he doesn't get the ticket now, he will get it later when the middle belt will want a presidency seat.

Who is your role model politician?
His role model must be a politician who is not corrupt.

SaintNemesis:
We in the South South and South East understand that the main problem of Nigeria isn't corruption but institutionalized poverty.
Creation of economic opportunities.
Atiku may not be perfect but he will win the votes from South East and South South. He has proven to be the highest employer of labour among the other aspirants.

He has built successful businesses so he is in a better position to handle the economy.
During the Obasanjo/Atiku leadership. He led the economic team and the privatisation process that brought about the change in our telecommunication industry.
How many youths have been employed by Atiku, I don't know where that propaganda came from.
If we are looking for ppl who have employed greater numbers of youth, why don't we call on Dangote?

Its better to stay with Bubu than Atiku, he'll be worse than Jona. Atiku is just too dumb and weak to rule Nigeria, he gets easily bullied. While Tinubu was a mere activist in 1991/92, Atiku was already funding SDP and in fact contesting for Presidency.

All politicians are corrupt, so let's not argue about the one who is not.
Nigeria will be better with a smart thief than a dumb one.

I always say this, the reason the economy didn't collapse during Jona was because he assembled smart people, even with all the embezzlement, they still found a way of balancing things up.
The reason why everything is falling apart during Bubu period is because he assembled dumb ppl. Abeg Wetin Audu Ogbe sabi with the current world Agric economy?
Wetin the ousted finance minister sabi about world economy, (she was just an accountant who worked in a closed office all through her life). Only the Petroleum minister is fit for his job and they hijacked his job and reduced him to a spectator.
An economic team that promises #1 to $1, na so dem dey do am?
So unfortunate Nigerians are actually uneducated, because how could ppl believe such, that is way beyond being gullible, it shows total ignorance.

Atiku is already above 70, let him go and rest, we need fresh blood.

I love your point about institutionalized System failure.
One thing that made Obasanjo and Ya'adua better was that they created and strengthened available institutions, not like there was no corruption during their time.
This regime was poor because it fails to recognize existing institutions. It reduced the power of ministries and other government agencies thereby incredibly increasing the veto of the Presidency. That has been one the reasons the Presidency has struggled with the house.

Personally, I don't see anything good coming out of Atiku. Maybe Saraki, Tambuwa, and Kwakanso might be better. I still go for Saraki though.

yea, social media poll. most people on social media are ussually Juvenile dumbos. they know nada. grin

like one Nigerian young girl who claims to be a Graduate was Arguing with me on social media that Nazzareth and bethlehem in the middle east are not the same locations mentioned in the Bible grin that Nazzareth and bethlehem are in Heaven. grin

when i also told her that Jesus Christ was An Arab she got Angry and called me A Devil.
Hello Mr Know all.
So Jesus is Arab?
Jesus is a Jew, Jews are different from Arabs.
In fact, Syrians and Palestinians are not Arabs, they became Muslims by conquest. Although they are all in the middle east.

As pertains to Saraki,
That Man is a tough dude.
Tell me which paraded politician hasn't or prospecting to harness wealth?
Which politician doesn't make use of political thugs?
All politicians have their ugly sides.

Do you think it's easy for an ordinary Man to withstand APC, Tinubu and the Cabals at the same time?

Buhari government have been infiltrated, the bad guys are ruling and Buhari is just a spectator.

A Tough guy is needed at the moment.
An intelligent guy is needed.
A non Tribalistic or non religious bigot is needed.
A sellable, lively guy is needed.
The only one that falls into that category is Saraki.

I laugh when ppl talk about Atiku.
Atiku is one of the weakest dude I've ever known.
He had been eyeing the Presidency since 1993, always being talked into stepping down and bullied from one party to the other.
He'll be worse than Jonathan.
Saraki declared less than 2 months, and he's taking everywhere by storm.

Saraki is the Link between the old and the New.

I heard someone say the Last Senate is the worst. This is a show of Max ignorance. I've monitored house preceedings since 1999, I bet you only now read fragments on social media.
The last Senate had been the best in recent time.
There was a divided house but Saraki found a way of harmonizing them and exerting his authority over them.

Nigerians need someone who can harmonize them.

Every one keeps shouting about Kwara state being backward, I don't think so. They don't owe their workers, and the standard in Ilorin is better than that of Ibadan, Osogbo, Abeokuta, Akure and Ado ekiti so what is the shout all about?

Ppl talk about the liquidated banks., most distressed banks were distressed by the so called richest ppl in Nigeria, do your findings.

I feel ashamed when I see ppl dwell on propaganda without facts finding.

See stupid people getting into a religious war here on Nairaland over someone seeking asylum.
Don't you know the best way to get a valid visa is by asylum.
Burn a Bible, Koran, become a gay activist, get ppl to picture you being beaten, you'll be granted asylum in America.
The guy in question is an illegal immigrant seeking for an asylum in another European country or America.
Then Fools are here arguing about religion.
Most Nigerians are religious extremists, you don't have to engage in suicide bombings or killings before you become an extremist.

That is a million dollar question for a person with such low IQ. It is this epic foolishness our politicians are taking advantage of. Now they are looking up to Saraki and atiku as the savior Nigeria needs. Saraki has been the Senate president for over 3 years, which bill did he sponsor in the interest of the common man? Now he is promising them heaven on earth.
You seem to the one with a low IQ,
Use facts.
Saraki has been in the Senate 8 years before he became the Senate president.
I could've stated the number of bills he's sponsored but I leave you to go fact find before blabbing shit here. I understand most you guys started following politics recently.
A Senate president is mostly for helping others ratify their bills and not the one sponsoring. Even if he's sponsoring, it would be on the background.
This current Senate has been the team that has passed the most bills that affects the common man in recent times. Although am an advocate for scrapping the Senate but I still give it to them.
Saraki had been a True leader in the Senate who found a way of uniting a set of people I couldn't imagine he could; The PDP, his APC friends and APC enemies.

Saraki is still a Politician that is a bit close to what we have in the political advanced countries of the world.
He plays dirty when he has to, and plays cool when necessary.

That guy is Smart and Intelligent.
He is the revolution in the political arena.
Do you think an ordinary person can withstand Tinubu, Buhari and the Cabals for 3 years and still survive.

If I have my way, I'll just install that man as the President without any voting.

Mark what am about saying, Saraki is the man who will determine who will rule Nigeria in 2019, whether he contests or not.

PoliticsRe: 'Underaged Policeman Who Participated In Osun Election' - Corper Claims (Photos) by Slimmacho: 6:30pm On Sep 24, 2018
That boy is not underaged, probably between 19 and 21.
This is what I call vision!
The way the Northerners planted their people in the military and other security outfits at very young age so that they'll be able to attain their possible highest ranks before retirement.
We don't wake up to find Northerners as high ranking officers, they've been planted there as early as 19 years of age. They also have rapid promotions because they have their ppl at the top.
Even Buhari was drafted into the military before he finished his secondary school that explains why he couldn't sit for his final exam.
Southerners are never visionaries, now they cry they are being marginalized. They cry Imbalance.
An average Southerner will like to finish university, look for a job for a few years then remembers he can go into the force but he's already above 30 years old, he back dates his age to fit into the maximum age, abandons his degree certificate so he could qualify for the recruit program. He struggles for promotion as no one will help him, and ends up retiring as a low ranked officer.

All sensitive ministries in Nigeria have young Northerners planted there so that they'll continue the tradition and few years time, they became heads.
Go to CBN, Customs, Nigerian Army, Police, Immigration, they are even getting into NNPC.

Our brothers in the south will never help their kind.
Am sorry, the North will continue to dominate the South!
PoliticsHow Pdp Played The Trump Card. Jimmy Agbaje by Slimmacho(op): 8:40am On Sep 24, 2018
Osun was a Miracle. APC planned to rig shamelessly and succeeded in so many places scientifically and mathematically: cutting PDP victory in some places, inflating their own figures in other places – a hundred there, two hundred here, cutting it really close to look legit.

Let me do a quick thread on the three things that saved PDP in Osun apart from our collective efforts: The Adeleke-Underdog Strategy, Senator Iyiola Omisore and Focus on Osogbo not Ede where the election was actually decided. It was a victory for high strategy and experience.

Recall that Ekiti was lost because the APC came at Fayose with everything they could muster – it was like the entire hordes of APC he’ll against one man. In Osun, Adeleke was positioned as the underdog who was not a threat and APC focused on Omisore instead and invaded Ife.

If they had focused on Adeleke, they would have concentrated forces on Ede and not Ife, Boripe and Osogbo. While they were distracted, PDP snuck in and took four LGAs from their Ijesha stronghold, including my home LGA – Ilesha West. Omisore helped PDP in yet another way.

The spurious WAEC issue against our man – a serving senator whom INEC had thoroughly screened for election in the past had left many elite in the Osogbo areas considering holding their noses and voting Oyetola: But Omisore became their option instead after the debate.

Osogbo wasn’t the game changer and some of us knew all along but we needed to turn focus to Osogbo because APC could rig outrageously there. The game changer was Ede – and the figures confirm our calculation was 10/10 here – a solid margin delivered, home and dry.

Most difficult to execute was the underdog strategy – we could easily have defended Senator Adeleke on every issue he was attacked with but APC, feeling triumphant after defeating Fayose – couldn’t understand what was going on: how many votes can a dancing senator get? You couldn’t even tell there was an election from many PDP TL’s but far back as over a month ago, the recce was done with the full backing of the party and we identified what to work on. Bukola Saraki literally pulled PDP back into it with the Ogunbiyi-Adeleke reconciliation.

Not over on paper but onground: it is over and the gloves are off. We’re going forward as topdogs now – the Adeleke Dynasty is their daddy’s daddy: PDP has won Osun, the rest is formality and APC has only one option: Rig shamelessly and get exposed – Demola may not even play.

Their daddy in Aso Rock is a goner. Their daddy in Lagos is upset that Aso Rock didn’t do everything to give him Osun yesterday – but doing that would have exposed the Aso Rock plan for 2019 too early and Osun wasn’t worth it for them. And this one is crucial to the matter.

A divided entity is a vanquished entity – APC is divided. Two Govs and one Gov-elect were practically working with another candidate, against the APC candidate who calls them the axis of evil along with one minister. (You know I can name names but the game is still on.)
PoliticsRe: Omisore Agrees To Support PDP In Osun Rerun by Slimmacho: 6:08pm On Sep 23, 2018

Omisore will be the joker in the supplementary election, whichever party reaches out to him will take the day.

CHESS MOVE 1 ( "EN PASSANT"wink:
PDP offering Omisore, Adeleke's senate seat.

CHESS MOVE 2 ("ACTIVE DEFENCE"wink:
APC using the federal might to entice Omisore with a ministerial slot (FAYEMI's vacant seat)

CHESS MOVE 3 ("Mating Attack"wink:
Omisore activates sitdown de look mode. He's the boogeyman and the same time the beautiful bride.
Your assertions not totally right.
1. Adeleke and Omisore are not in the same senatorial district so he can't be promised the seat. He might be given the opportunity to contest his Senatorial district though, but that will be a tough 50/50 fight.
2. The Ministerial seat cannot be used as Osun already has an indigene sitting minister, even if he he's offered he won't take because the administration is about ending.
3. He can't take a Ministerial appointment unless he decamps to APC something he wouldn't do.

I go for your third move in a modified way.

PDP and APC will try to solicit for the support of Omisore to have his voters to vote for them.
Omisore will enhanced by each of them, promising to deliver. Meanwhile, the first enhancement will be in financial form and the concluding part of the bargain will be in kind (That will be difficult for us to guess)
Omisore will then fold his arms does nothing, then wait for either of them to win, come forward claiming he has done the job claiming the other part of the bargain which will be in kind.
Omisore will make a fortune without doing nothing.

But the truth is this, although Omisore left PDP out of bitterness, he will remain an enemy to AD/ACN/APC that denied him Governorship for 20 years.
His supporters will likely vote for PDP rather than their Arch-enemy APC. He was one of the founding fathers of AD before they betrayed him and was framed for Murder.
I followed Omisore's politics since 1999, his loyalists are not ppl that has ever decamped since he decamped from AD to PDP in 2003.

Either he stays a dummy or he engages, he's still the most sort after.
He has definitely hit a Jackpot

I tire for partially educated fellas o.
Let me educate you,
The General election was inconclusive because some polling units were marred with irregularities.
So there would be rerun in those polling units. And the rerun would be only between the two competing party candidates ONLY.
The General election remains inconclusive till a clear winner is obtained in the reruns.

The account of the Lady isn't real. The account was set up for publicity stunt. There's no Gift anywhere.

A People’s Democratic Party agent has been arrested by security operatives for allegedly attempting to buy votes in the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

According to our correspondent, the agent had attempted to distribute money to voters at the Obada area of Ede in Ede Local Government Area.

The PUNCH reports that the PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke, is from Ede town.

Adeleke is contesting the seat currently occupied by Governor Rauf Aregbesola alongside the All Progressives Congress’ candidate, Isiaka Oyetola; Iyiola Omisore of the Social Democratic Party, Fatai Akinbade of the African Democratic Congress, and Adeoti Moshood of Action Democratic Party.

In an interview after he voted, the 58-year-old said he was optimistic of victory in the poll.

In another report by The Nation, Police have arrested four suspected thugs in Ile-Ife.

They were found with wraps of IndIan Hemp in their pockets.

The four rode on a bike and the Police said they were suspected to be political thugs.

They were caught around More in Ile-Ife, not too far from the Ooni’s Palace.

A Chief Superintendent of Police Aliyu Shuaibu, who led a team of other officers, told our reporter that the suspects could not satisfactorily explain their mission.

He said: “They were four on top of a bike, with tattoos. We suspected them and stopped them, knowing that they had a mission.

“From their physical appearance and their hairstyles, we suspected they were political thugs.

“We checked their pockets only to see several wraps of Indian Hemp, indicating they were ready to go and smoke and then go and cause trouble. That’s why we took them in.”

Those two people are the Treasurer and Financial APC Secretary of Iwo LG.
I don't want to mention their names here. They were arrested earlier today.
Why would bloggers distort news.
I now see reason why some law makers wanted to regularize all these online bloggers.
They cause more confusion than the news they post

Baselm:
I just laugh when I read people's comments about Saraki, I was born in Kwara and I've been following Kwara state affairs for 20 years.
U people call Buhari a religious Bigot, U can hardly find a Christian commissioner in Kwara state, u turn on the radio and all you hear is Islamic recitations even on UNILORIN fm.
All the senators from Kwara state are Muslims, A Christian hasn't been a Governor in the state before, I've never known a Christian VC of UNILORIN, almost all the commissioners are Muslims, In fact ull find it difficult to find a Christian public school principal, it took a serious battle with CAN before mission schools that are now controlled by govt can be headed by a Christian.
would u believe the percentage of Christian to Muslim In the state is almost 50-50?
u claim Buhari is appointing only northerners, wait till Saraki becomes president, only Ilorin Muslims not even (Kwarans) will rule Nigeria if possible.
The guy isn't even a devoted Muslim, he's just the kinda guy that will betray anybody/thing or group he considers vulnerable in order to keep achieving his selfish interests.
Kwara is a Fulani conquered yoruba area, that explains why it is predominantly a Muslim state. Ilorin is much respected when it comes to Islamic. In fact Kwara has a Sharia court. Here is the truth, Kwara is not as Islamic as any Northern state in Nigeria.
And for your information, Saraki's wife and children are practicing Christians, it's not a secret at all. If a man can allow his family to practice other religion, that person is not a Religious Bigotry.

I think we should take time analyzing candidates before jumping into supporting them.

Kwajwaso is a Religious Bigotry and Tribalist, worse than Bubu.

Atiku married from virtually every tribes and some of his wives are not Muslims.

When it comes to Nuetrality, I go for Atiku and Saraki.
But I think Saraki has a stronger drive and intelligence. You can only rule Nigeria when you know how to handle the cabals.

Let me say this, Atiku is also a weak man like Jonathan, Nigeria will be looted dry under his nose. A man that cannot handle Obasanjo, a man that they keep chasing from one party to the other.

Personally, if I can't get a Sowore, I'd rather go for a Saraki. Gaskiani.
