See premature jizz fest everywhere. A these one-minute cuntalans!

Dudu I am not a single bit happy a player of Cesc calibre will be leaving Arsenal at this stage when things are finally meant to be a bit rosy.

That said, my strong arm belongs to the red and white! If he wears the shirt he has my backing, if he doesn't, he doesn't.

This overdrive actually started from that caveman puyol and the donkey pique. Apparently Cesc was still at training this morning.

@Debo my proviso on that is if the deal happens today. Just hours after he still reiterated he doesnt 'expect' it. Read, not his preference.

Anyways I still maintain IMO they are at loggerheads concerning Fabregas and Nasri. He wants them to stay, the board is open to a move.

If Cesc actually leaves today, few hours after Wenger's presss conference, I am more convinced that Wenger and the board are no more on the same page.

@Debo surely if Nasri signs an extension the whole debate becomes moot. Yeah yeah I know, we need to be decisive.

Did City not buy Aguero shocked? Debo, I will give you time to repent of your sins wink. Thou shalt not covet thine neighbors wife, especially when you are too broke to even buy her lunch. grin

Again I maintain the Ox was not an either or situation. If we dont buy a defender now, it will not be because we spent the money on AOC.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 12:33pm On Aug 12, 2011
debosky:
Then he is going about it in the wrong way - why would he want to change things after all these years of presenting a united front to the press? If he is against the moves, he should be bale to convince the board to support his position.
Besides, why is he against selling a player who will refuse to sign an extension? Is one year of Nasri really worth £25m? huh
Everyday Wenger claims he can't spend like Citeh, yet offered £25m to buy replacements he's refusing and wants to hold on?
The only logical reason I can see is Wenger's stubbornness - On the Cesc matter, it has gone on so long that it must be resolved this summer - I can't stand having the club captain continuously linked elsewhere, especially when he's done all he can to leave himself.
In the final analysis, Wenger should have identified targets once he knew these players wanted to leave - once the money is available, I don't think it should be much of an issue convincing the targets to join Arsenal.
If the board and Wenger are not agreeing on this issue, that might be the beginning of the end for Wenger.
On Nasri, no Debo, his stubborness cant be a logical explanation, thats against logic. Logic will be he doesnt want to give one of our better players to any team that finished ahead of us regardless of the money. Logic will be that he would rather the board added a little something something to Nasri's money so we keep our player who is finnally coming into his own.

On Cesc IMO, deducing from statements from Wenger himself, last year it was a clear NO, this year the club was open to it but Wenger ultimately gave Cesc enough time to decide if he wants to stay or not. In the end Cesc decides he wants out and the negotiations were kick started. Even still its not AW's preffered option so he will still keep saying he will rather they didnt go. That's why he hasnt been bullish about Cesc this year. And keeps saying he hopes it will be resolved in our favor. If we are in control how can we 'hope to resolve in our favor'? In other words, he hopes the deal falls through. Mind you, not called off because we dont want to sell anymore, but rather either Cesc or Barca are not with it anymore. That way he stays but without hard feelings on his part. Even as much as the boy is a professional, he is also human. He needs to be all for it or not for it at this stage of our quest.

Well finally to the targets and money. Cesc money isnt yet available. Some cuntalunyan arsenal-wipes dont seem to have enough money it seems. And if Cesc does not go, who be the target nah? You say? . . . .uhn . . . .I cant hear you . . . .what? . . . . . .oh defender! grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 11:59am On Aug 12, 2011
@Debo first time I can remember AW keeps repeating something different to club stance. I still insist Wenger is very against these 2 moves.

@Proudly Gibbs if fit will start ahead of Traore. Ramsey came off injured in Welsh friendly. Infact from middle to forwards, the team selection is open to speculation. All positions.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 10:42am On Aug 12, 2011
I am still waiting for the bad news oh. Even press conference no dey enuff to deliver bad news?

Wilshere himself claims he'll be back very soon. Im not too worried, our rushing players back from injury has been counterproductive. Let him get well enough.

Finally it is footbal weekend. Lehgooo!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 3:20pm On Aug 11, 2011
Bwahahaha see Sharon dropping wisdom. How many of Cesc's stat are from open play? In a team notorious for being abject at setpieces at both ends of the pitch.

Ibime lemme tell you slowly, Nasri is not worth 110k at Arsenal. Anybody can kiss my Arsenal for that. The god Titi Henry peaked at 120k. The most productive midfielder since Nigerians realised there was Chelsea (2006 by the way) peaked at 120k. 6months of Nananana will not earn you 110k at Arsenal! Good luck to him and his 180k if he goes by the way.

I'm still waiting for the bad news oh.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 2:17pm On Aug 11, 2011
AOC was signed for £12m plus add-ons, Sharon stop inventing numbers grin

@Debo haba you sef? AOC signing is not an either or sumtin na. We've been after him for a while. Only AW can say why, I guess we'll have an indication as the season progresses.

Gut feeling says we'll still be getting a CB anyways, but that's just me. It might just be my stomach ache from eating too much grin

Debo, Ivan the terrible Gazidis says it's not like going to the supermarket to shop o grin

We have bid for 2 defenders in this window, that people know about. I dont think they are not doing the necessary. I will just say they are not getting the results.

Why that is, is a matter for another fora. For now I wait for the bad news.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 1:51pm On Aug 11, 2011

coogar:
poach at your own peril. . . . .
when fergie poached pique, he quickly returned him back when the lad became home-sick and wasn't getting any opportunity. fergie could have refused to sell then - and piquegate would have been a major issue every summer with united as well. i dunno why wenger feels cesc will never return to his roots - wenger should have at least arranged for a replacement all these years and gift-wrap cesc back to guardiola.

you dey craze!
arshavin, nasri, van persie, song, wilshere, etc are brilliant players.
He did realise that, that is why he signed him to the longest contract in the history of Arsenal as far as I can remember, in turn making him the highest paid player too.

Going back to Barca is a Cesc decision, not a Wenger oversight. What we do with the money chicken change tho,. . . . .that's another matter.

@Krayola, you have not gotten the import of my post.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 1:04pm On Aug 11, 2011
Cesc is leaving when Arsenal needs him most and Barca needs him least. No, I'm not saying he's not good enough to play for them, his numbers suggest far otherwise. However they don't need him to be victorious. Sadly Arsenal needs a player of his calibre to keep pushing.

Debo I understand what you say about public face, however AW did not mince words 'I love Cesc and will like him to stay'. I suggest it is out of his hands.

Only Cesc can say his true motives for wanting to go. But if it is to win trophies, easy cop out my friend. Hleb won trophies at Barca. Hell, Cjhrygnskjykysgh. . . .or whatever won trophies at Barca.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 12:28pm On Aug 11, 2011
@Krayola, which pedestal, dude are living in Eskimoland?

Arsene Wenger was categorical, left to him he wanted to keep Cesc. Board, Barca and Cesc all those 3 were open to him leaving. And still yet it is AW that will get the load of the insults after all this.

If City actually offered 25M for Nas as reported in today's tabloids, then I wonder why he is still an Arsenal player.

My take on the Ox signing is that the guy is probably just overrated by Arsene. Southampton know that and gave-in before it becomes clearer with time that Ox is just average. I so hope Ox proves me wrong tho.

We are so not a contender this season, and if not for the foreseen failure of clubs like L'pool to live up to expectation, we shouldn't even be think of ECL. With Verm injured and Clichy out we are worse than last season. We need two CBs and not just one if we are to compete with Manure.

Manure to win the league rather easily this season. Thats a team who know what is required and does it FAST.
Guy you need some shekpe!

How can Arsenal fans continue to miss the obvious? With all the analysts we have on here, nobody can deduce what's actually going on.

Arsene Wenger has finally conceded Arsenal defense is beyond redemption. So we are going back to the most basic rule in football. [i]The team who scores more number of goals in a single game is declared the winner of same game'[i/] FIFA Edict 3 subsection 9, google it.

Hence the stockpiling of attacking players. Let the opponents score, we will score more!!! Shikena!!!

Ibime, are Terry's lunging (that he hardly gets punished for) any worse than Koscielny harrying attackers. The guy is fantastic on the deck, and he holds his own in the air. You have stated before your beef is that he is light. Bloodtey sizist! grin

As for Djourou, you just won't forgive him for 'kolobi-ing' Drogba would you? wink
