Lord Ibime we bow to your superior knowledge of bullshit . The same player who had more undefeated games than ManU's unbeaten run? . . . .ok ok, that was Eldeesque. Forget purple patch tho, Djourou has been a good defender since he was a teenager at Arsenal. He's lost a bit of form to be honest. E dey fall my hand sha. However Koscielny, asides all you sizist hating on a slim defender. What does your favorite defender do that he doesn't. And please don't bore me with Carling Cup final. Nasri in Cesc role? I don't know who keeps perpetuating this tired joke. Nasri cant spot a good run to save his flourescent boot! Nasri reminds me of the boys who owned the 'felele' for playing 'choosing'. They are not hard to spot. They always refuse to release the ball on the pitch or off it. Coogar, differences asides, you are not known to quote cliches. Windy nite, brittana. . . . seriously? We've won every windy nite in Brittania that I can remember. Daytime is another matter tho. |

coogar: he had no driver's license? show me the link. i don't believe what you say these days. nah. . . .they must have been chasing hos way back. . . .but since they were unknown, the media didn't give a shyt.
@ eldee,
stop distorting the facts - fergie didn't beg rooney. all that was play-acting. at the height of the crisis, the media and people generally thought fergie must have pissed rooney off like the beckham saga. rooney is the english icon and fergie had to clear himself this wasn't his fault - it's rooney's doing.
fergie needed rooney? what was rooney's contribution last season. didn't berbatov step up to the plate producing magical moments? when berba got tired, didn't chicharito step up as well? abeg - fergie handles his players well and better than that lunatic wenger.
at least before fergie dumps his talented players, they must have won something! beckham, keane, ronaldo, ruud, etc all won mega titles before fergie parted company with them. even the "supposed" mega flopsveron/forlan won a league title before fergie sold them. how do you then compare him to wenger? j-e-t has attitude problems - spare me!! is j-e-t as bad as ravel morrison? how many times has morrison been in court in the last 2 years? more than joey barton and has fergie sold him to ipswich? adebayor left, hleb left, flamini left, eduardo left, toure left, gallas left, clichy left, diarra left, etc. how many of them won trophies with arsenal?
the mind boggles. . . . . Off that list, only Adebayor has the type of attitude problem being reffered to here, believing you have arrived instead of constantly asking 'Are we there yet?' Interesting you mention Cristiano, note that bar none I am yet to see any footballer as hungry to be the best as Cristiano Ronaldo. It is not about whether you are spending lau lau, it is your money you have earned the right to. It is about how you apply yourself to the sport. Those who dont get left behind. Simples. Meanwhile how can anybody who knew VanPersie as a teenager question AW's man management skill. |

debosky: There is always a reason somewhere for a deal failing - other clubs agree financial terms with both the club and the player, we failed to do the latter. It's a disgrace that despite sending out a director to seal the deal we were simply stood up.
We either didn't fully do our leg work or we we acted slowly which permitted another club to come in with a better offer.
Why would a player do a medical and PASS yet fail to sign? That is virtually unheard of - someone should've known the dad wanted more cash and either pulled out earlier instead of this embarrassing debacle.
I'm not fussed about a player who hasn't even played 10 league games, but I hope it's not an indication of shabby handling of transfer dealings. From what we've seen so far, it may well be the case.
It shouldn't take forever to sign players - Utd had 3 obvious targets and they've gotten them. Liverpool had a number, but secured their top 3 targets, including a capable back up GK. Arsenal? We've lost out on three targets so far, and before Gazidis' protestations, no one could be sure whether or not we had any more targets in mind.
Apart from signing Gervinho, we better make some signings to address our obvious weaknesses - anything less than that is stubborn foolishness. Debo even though I see your point, on this one I disagree. We had a director go over there means there was no pus-syfooting this time around. It was done and dusted. Just put pen to paper, and there you go. . . . . you cant legislate for human greed. Reminds me of Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire with the no 1 draft of the NBA or was it NFL. There are always people waiting to screw us over. Its been done twice this summer. I maintain nowadays its a matter of money. Dont be surprised down the line you'd hear that erm erm loaded erm erm to bribe erm erm so that they can buy the player. At least we now know those you can go to after you pay £5m so they can lend you player. And those that can evenn buy you a whole club If I say Baba Sir and you put Gida Demento, na you know oooo . . . . .Fela lo so be. |

debosky: @ Dudu
As I suspected the Campbell deal has fallen through - Arsenal has withdrawn from the deal because the boy and his dad were stalling.
Basically hoping for a bigger offer to come in, or already told that if they stalled they'd get more money.
A shabby state of affairs to say the least. Even though he's not some established player, the fact that we're struggling to sign even these low key players shows there's something amiss in the Arsenal set up. I agree we shouldn't be held to ransom and we probably have enough young players as it is, but it's slightly concerning nonetheless. Some reports say we even had to increase our offer to get to the stage of verbal agreement. I guess now its basically all about money everywhere. |

@Krayola, are you living in a mirror? You seem to have the people crying in reverse. I hear tissues are selling at a discount in Cuntalunya. And no, that's not part of the cost-saving measure. Miscue na club?
@Sharon, of course why should we let him leave? I guess your sending Pique back to Cuntalunya had nothing to do with his being the umimpressive tall droopy fella block the keeper's view at Old Toilet. And we keeping Cesc has nothing to do with him being the most productive midfielder in all of Europe in the last 5years?
Let's just ship everybody back to their respective countries eh? While we settle down with glee to watch Robinson repeatedly trying to make an assist for Crouch! |
