@A-40 you will find that the ones with the kidney failure are the ones baying for blood. Positive fans still find a way to enjoy their Arsenal.

Haha, trophies made you think AW had it? Literally the headline of the papers the day he was unveiled as Arsenal boss was 'ARSENE WHO?'

Funny how people think if you decide to entertain some perspective then you are so-and-so apologist. AW is Arsenal manager, my strong arm belongs to the red and white, do the maths.

@Edoyad don't be dramatic, he's not waiting for anybody to go bankrupt. Saying its difficult is not saying it can't be done. Last season AW said categorically Arsenal will win a trophy (first time he will say that since 'project youth biznez started'. Of course we didn't, but does that look like someone saying he can't do it?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 8:17pm On Aug 21, 2011
^^^ they will shoot you in Mogadishu if you use this kind of analogy.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 7:30pm On Aug 21, 2011
Yet again another misquote. AW never said we can't bring in quality. What he has often said is that it is difficult to compete for quality in a distorted market. As a matter of fact he actually says he's looking to bring in quality, but that is a whole different matter for analysis.

To be pedantic though, a fan that pays for a jersey or a game is actually getting a product in return, is he not? So it is not your money. Have you ever heard anybody say they made Hov rich? Didn't they pay their $16 for his CD. Abi does anyone dictate to Shakira how to dance after paying for her concert? cheesy

The difference here however is emotional investment which has no real financial value as such. And its generally accepted that emotional decisions aren't really the best ones. See, that's why AW is paid those millions to remove emotions from his decision making. Whether or not he is making the right ones however is the main bone of contention wink.

As far as fans are concerned as long as Arsenal doesn't win any trophy then AW has lost it reh reh reh. But that's just emotions, the picture is a whole lot bigger. As someone once asked, what if AW does everything exactly the way the fans want it (actually this is not possible but let's task our imagination) but Arsenal still end up trophyless. . . .what then?

Allboyz, AW said HE didn't expect Cesc to leave THAT WEEKEND.

However please note that was a press conference for the Newcastle game, it was imperative to avoid the whole circus. People jus interprete things the way it suits their arguments. AW never at anytime this summer say Cesc was definitely staying. He only said that about Nasri and he is still here.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 5:20pm On Aug 21, 2011
Ibime haven't you heard. We don't have defensive issues again. Its attack that's the problem now. Which kain analyst be your own. Guy update yourself :p

And Gilberto wasn't rugged anything, Arsenal fans used to yab him that he was soft, because he went like a whole season without getting booked or something funny like that. His interception technique was superb and he was very good in give and go. Not any ruggedman no-nonsense nonsense.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 5:07pm On Aug 21, 2011
Edoyad, sure Wenger is a rich man. He didn't get that way by 'lying and being hypocritical', he got that way by doing his job and being successful. People all over the world that will stammer and stutter if they were ever to stand in his presence now think its open season on him. Supporters should do their jobs and support. Criticise by all means but respect the persons of the members of your own team.

This is not to you but its a general thing I tell people, there are people who spit so much venom at Wenger who have never and I repeat never come first at anything in their lives. On what pedestal exactly to they stand to insult him?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 4:51pm On Aug 21, 2011
ARSENAL SUPPORT: too many chiefs, not enough indians.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 3:21pm On Aug 21, 2011
Hehehe some people and simplistic cliches.

Think about it like this, if we lose well we sack Wenger FANS HAPPY ah? If we win well nobody bothers about Wenger FANS HAPPY. Why go for the retarded option?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 1:59pm On Aug 21, 2011
@Debosky, I have never gotten the logic of a fan wishing for a loss. In any circumstance, it seriously baffles me. But well, different strokes for different folks.

At this point surely AW knows, he has to buy. Not even to satisfy fans or what not. Simply put, there are not enough fit players to carry on.

Muki haba, you wey you suppose dey untop mat dey recite fatia untop our matter so we can buy Mata. grin

Hold the line soldier, the calvary is coming. wink

Shyte happens. Good performance, bad result. See Ibime calling Enrique, useless going forward. Sagna out of position was even way better than he was.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 9:50am On Aug 20, 2011
@Debo I'll have to admit you make a very good case though.

I'm just looking at it front the point of view of whether HE WANTS to be there as against being made to play.

Guess the answer can only be speculative. He's still an Arsenal player afterall.

And we've got some bloodtey scouse to kill!

TENHUUUUTTT!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 8:29pm On Aug 19, 2011
@debo, bleed Arsenal: Baba I no need to explain this to you now. In this age where mentality and spirit are the most overused cliches ever?

As a professional will you want to be left at home for someone who can quite literally be pulled off just before the game? Talking of development I contend it will be more detrimental to drop any of these boys than to chuck em in 'at the deep end' so to speak.

Oh and where exactly was Nasri against Newcastle? Didn't we need him then? That is not in any bit professional. A living dog is better than a dead lion. So far at close season and this new season Nasri hasn't shown anything to suggest he warrants a place ahead of any of these boys.

@JJCD I dey o. You been scarce ni. Nothing does we. Red and White blood cells my man!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 5:42pm On Aug 19, 2011
Something else however just occured to me, if Nasri plays for us tomorrow, he cannot play against us this season. Abi am I imagining that?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 5:33pm On Aug 19, 2011
@Dudu and what does it say to the confidence of this boys who have been bleeding Arsenal, that they are being dropped for someone who's wanting away?

@JJCD my director defense, so wa pa, baba mi?!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 4:36pm On Aug 19, 2011
Nasri with an average performance is not good enough for Arsenal. No sentiments. If he won't put in work, let him stay home. And from all indication it doesn't look like he'll put in work.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 7:49am On Aug 18, 2011
Good morning oh, moomoos disturbing us because Cesc won Community Shield in Spain :p. FYI he already has one of those at Arsenal and he played a lot more than 8mins to get it. Can you please take it to the Cunt-lunyan thread?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 9:38pm On Aug 17, 2011
@Debo, I think he was talking to Docky? I have bought popcorn, and 3D goggles. Abeg Docky no fall my hand own. grin

Abeg next AW should just tweet the instruction, let @PersieOfficial, @Jackwilshere RT the matter. While @EmmanuelF4 jus goes #DEEEEENCH!!!

Then @arseblog can have a field day cracking dry jokes about it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 4:32pm On Aug 16, 2011
@Dudu, Yes its true. I dont have references myself, I read something about it during the Aguero transfer.

@Coogar, which keeper doesnt make errors. How exactly is what happened to Tech 9 different to what happened to Oliver Khan? And it will be excellent to have Shay Given without errors if we only have to play one CC final all season eh wink, but we're talking of a whole season against a style of play that continually calls our for keeper to be dominant in their box.

Hehehe not in my books is Richard Dunne better than Vermaleen. And as 'technicals' go, no where near Koscielny. . . . . .this is where I implore you not to mention that he concedes goals silly. Lets not go in circles.

And no, Arsenal racks up possesion stats because we are all round ball players, preferring to be more patient in possesion. Low turnovers. It essentially is our primary means of defense. I dont even think we attack as much a ManU does.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 3:24pm On Aug 16, 2011
@Dudu, we dont buy waste material from Barca.  wink grin

@Coogar, you pulled an exagerration, bazillion goals conceded, I called you on it, so that is how it works.

The reason why you can put up the 70% figures is cause Arsenal is technical all round.

And no I have said it here before, Shay Given is not the type of keeper we were calling for. He is an Almunia type keeper, good on the reflexes,  but never comes off his line. Did you see Tech 9 on saturday?

All said, I'm good with Samba to give us something different from what we have. But Cuellar can go to where Ibime discovered him from.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread (for Arsenal Fans) by slimshay(m): 3:05pm On Aug 16, 2011
coogar:
in principle, yes.
when newcastle went down under. . . .wenger shoulda bought shay given. city paid just £6m for him and we all know he's better than any goalkeeper arsenal have had since jens lehmann. how much was schwarzer? brad friedel? sorensen? when they all left their previous respective clubs? these goalkeepers would have saved arsenal an average of 12 points each in the last six seasons.

then the defence. . . . .wenger is a blind bartimaeus. parading geriatrics like silvestre and squillaci when players like samba, shawcross, cuellar, faye, collins, richard dunne all cost less than £2m each few seasons ago. yes, these players are mechanical but then of what essence are specialist players in the defence when they concede bazillion goals per season? arsenal have one of the best midfield in the premier league. . . .with a good defence to back it and few decent strikers, you would agree with me arsenal would have won at least one trophy in the last six seasons - it doesn't have to be the league title. domestic cup victories can also be celebrated.
Ha it was Bartimaeus, I knew something was sounding wrong. lipsrsealed grin

Meanwhile please go back and check how many goals these your under the radar ninjas (TM Ibime) conceded too. At least we have to be sure you know what you are talking about before we sack Wenger and put you in charge wink grin

Matchday soldiers TENHHUTTT!

I reckon we will see the same lineup that filed out on saturday bar VanPersie who will be replaced by Chamahk. However I have a sneaky feeling we might be seeing either A0C and/or Frimpong right from the start. Something to do with Arshavin's fitness.
