I hope someday soon, you and your people will be on the other side of that "power" when you are illegally assaulted! I'd like to reference this your post then! grin grin

RedBenson: This Elizade company of dealing on toyota cars are very stingy and unappreciative. My former company retrieved thier stolen brand new toyota hilux pick up from a night security guard and handed offer back to them and until i resigned from that firm, there was nothing like appreciation from them. Am talking abt a vehicle worth close to 6mil as at that time. That was 2yrs ago and now want to go into education. Gud for him! Time shall tell!
Naija and corruption! Why should they 'appreciate' them for doing their civic duty? Or do you not know that it is criminal to hide a crime and be charged as an accessory in the case when it gets to court? Your company in saner climes wil lose most of their customers and be deemed a criminal organization! I think being holed up in Nigeria all your lives is partly responsible for the mediaeval thinking of most of you in Nigeria!

He who goes a-BORROWING. . . goes A-SORROWING! kiss
I think I agree with you! If the country really had all the billions in the so called foreign reserves, sovereign wealth fund, and the economy is doing so great as Iweala and retardeen will have us believe, why can't a mere $1.1 B be sourced from there? The guy 'Yuzedo' summarized the scam loan very well (paraphrase is mine for emphasis):

1) China gives Nigeria $1.1 billion loan
2) Nigeria must give Chinese companies contract with the money.
3) Nigeria MUST then pay back China $1.1 B + interest
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Being Enslaved, Their Children And Grandchildren Born Into Debt! by Sloan(op): 4:05pm On Jul 11, 2013
From another thread:

yuzedo: And Nigeria is giving China what exactly in return?! I am not talking about the terms on paper. Money Cost. Opportunity Cost. Bla bla bla. What price is Nigeria REALLY paying for this?
Probably $10 billion. The article states that Chinese companies already have contracts worth $1.7 billion.
Looking at it in a simplistic way,
1)China gives us $1.1 billion
2)We give Chinese companies contract with the money.
3)We pay back China $1.1 + interest.

Those Chinese guys are smart.

Word on the streets is, GEJ will be president till 2019.
but why do the Jorubas hate the president so much?
PoliticsNigerians Are Being Enslaved, Their Children And Grandchildren Born Into Debt! by Sloan(op): 3:43pm On Jul 11, 2013
President GEJ is currently in China to sign a purported $ 3 B loan for infrastructure in Nigeria. According to news and for all we know about his usual trips, he travelled with his, wife Patience, about half a dozen ministers and a retinue of aids for all these people! How much is this going to cost the Nigerian taxpayers? Did they all fly on the same private jet, two? Chances are that at least two, does any president need so many people to go and borrow money? Why spend so much money just to borrow? However, that is just part of the issue.

New today indicated that a paltry $1.1 B was signed as loan between China and Nigeria. Now, consider how much was spent to ship so much bloat of unnecessary entourage for such a small amount of money? That is just about N160 B naira! But it gets even worse if you think about it and what it means for you, your children and grandchildren. In 2006, President Obasanjo had negotiated Nigeria debt free agreement with the Paris Club, much of the debt questionable. But the point was Nigeria was debt-free and it had argued that interest on loans were so high it was taking away resources (money) that could be invested in critical infrastructure! Well, in about 6 years, Nigeria has racked up foreign debts of about $ 6 B again and when you add this current loan, that is about $ 7 B, yet Nigerians are not protesting and stopping this government from mortgaging their future and their unborn children! According to sources, Nigeria's domestic debt is already about $40 B dollars, who will pay all these debt? The Chinese are NOT STUP.ID, what are they going to get from this loan? If you think a mere < 5% interest is what they got in the agreement, you are really the STUP.ID ones! Why can't you demand for the details of the agreement be published? Well, I will tell you that all that money or loan will ensure the contracts are awarded to Chinese companies (like CCECC, CSCEC), their Chinese engineers will be shipped in while a few Nigerians with low level skills or high level skills but paid low-level wages will be hired! Is this not suffering? Unemployment is sky high! Oil receipts are declining. Nigeria's biggest oil customer, the US, has ramped up its local production of oil, where does this leave Nigeria?

You can question why I am writing, yes I welcome that challenge. But I will announce to you that I will not be in any way responsible for paying a dime of these humongous debts, neither my children or their children. I carry a Nigerian passport only when I get to the Muritala International Airport in Lagos and use my main passport which takes me everywhere else. I pay my taxes here, not to Nigeria! Can you blame me or millions of Nigerians like me? I finished a Bachelor's degree in Nigeria but did my graduate studies in my current country with a scholarship paying for almost all the years of my graduate school. Before graduate school, my monthly salary was about N 1 M, that is money a lot of unemployed people will be glad to be paid even at 10% each for 10 people making a N 100 K per month! Well, my kids and grandchildren are going to visit Nigeria with me but the load of debts being incurred for you will be incurred by you people alone, especially now that you keep supporting this profligate retarde.d GEJ non-government. I read you support lawlessness of the president and his wife in Rivers, BH in the north, etc especially since you or your people are not in the full eye of the storm yet. Well, you are being enslaved and since you have been told, in case you did not know before, people like me will feel no pity for you when you cry in agony, pain and suffering! You got the type of leaders you deserved!
PoliticsRe: FG To File Defence In Lekki-ikoyi Bridge Suit by Sloan: 1:59pm On Jul 11, 2013
me1234: I appreciate Fashola for the projects so far in lagos. However, my question is why build these projects then toll us for them after paying our taxes. So my question is did he used his personal money to build these projects? And if it was a loan is he going to payback with his personal money? Why do our government carryout their responsibility to the people and yet enslave the people? Good roads are the responsibilities of the government to its people. The peoples responsibility is to pay tax.unfortunately in lagos the people pay tax yet they are tolled
So sad too many of YOU Nigerians are completely foo.liash! You appreciate it but do not want to pay for it? You love the West and cannot wait to cite US, UK, Canada, etc. at every opportunity, how do you think it's done here? Do you think developed infrastructure just springs up from a few revenue sources? How about a 40% tax rate? Yet, when you use some highways, car parks at the airport, priority lanes, YOU STILL PAY TOLLS & CHARGES! How much is your tax rate wherever you live? Well, if the FG and the PDP-sponsored lawyer suing the state government will pay the total cost of the construction + interest + other charges as deemed fit immediately, then tolls can be stopped! But if even N 1 remains unpaid tolling must continue! In fact it will be better because if the state government constructed at N 30 B, let them mark the repayment of the FG up to 60 B and use the money to complete some the projects in Lagos and start constructing the 4th Mainland bridge! grin grin grin That will be sweet! After finishing that one, TOLL it again so the FG can complain, take them to court and charge N 500 B as total cost of projects, capital, loan and projected value. With 500 B, the SW will surely have even loftier ideas! grin grin

PoliticsWhy Do Most Nigerians Support Lawlessness When Not Directly Targeted At Them? by Sloan(op): 12:04am On Jul 11, 2013
Why do most Nigerians support lawlessness when it is not directly targeted at them or their kins or tribe but cry and whine when they are on the receiving end. Why? If you support lawlessness against someone else, yours will surely come! Of course, that includes this current retardeenic, retarde.d government!

vanunu: This war criminal should stop reminding us about the heinous crime they committed against millions of innocent Igbo people of eastern Nigeria. God must surely judge you shameless murderers.

Just because some army officers of Igbo, Yoruba, Mid-west and northern Nigeria killed some politicians, You people wiped out almost all Igbo officers in northern Nigeria as if that is not enough, you people went ahead and killed more than a hundred thousand Igbos staying in northern Nigeria at that time. Not satisfied by your devilish act, you people went ahead and attacked the Igbos in their home, starting from Oboloafor in the present Enugu state and your actions resulted in the death of over 3million Igbos mainly women and children God must surely Judge you people. Animal.
So ibos were just sleeping harmlessly in their houses when calamity overtook them? Tell me another cock and bull story! angry angry angry grin grin
PoliticsRe: Brigadier-general Godwin Alabi-isama; Civil War Account by Sloan: 6:20pm On Jul 10, 2013
^^^Dude, your so-called allusions as to what i think of Ikemba couldn't be further from the truth! I've always maintained that Ikemba wasn't a perfect human being -like we all- and with the benefit of hindsight, we can always pick holes in his war strategy and point out how things could be have been done differently. It's only revisionists like you that would observe the goings on from the first coup up to the civil war, and say Ojukwus ambition was a major contributory factor to what happened......just to absolve Awo of complicity.

Douchebags like yourself never see anything wrong with your god Awo. I'm not saying he should have fought our battles for us, but if the devious little man had stood for the truth and not let his dislike for Igbos becloud his better judgment, Nigeria could have been a different country today.

You talk of Ojukwu going to Aburi, signing an accord with the Nigerian side, and then on return to Nigeria, and after Gowon was spoken to by the real owners of Nigeria, he (Ojukwu) was offered 90% of what was agreed to in good faith on a neutral ground.....i can see how you wouldn't have a problem with that!

Listen to yourself: "It is the responsibility of the ibos to fix their own problems and not expect the Yorubas to that for them after all during the January 1966 coup they killed our people too". Invariably you're alluding to the fact you agree that the whole Igbo race deserved no empathy from any Yoruba during the civil war b'cos some Igbos killed some of your people! You see how wicked and vindictive you sound?

I haven't got a problem with your handle, just wanted to know why you picked it; if you weren't so bigoted you'd have noticed that it says a lot about your sentiments towards Igbos......just like wearing a t-shirt saying 'i can't stand the Igbos'! So i ask again, why did you pick 'Igbo' as your nairaland moniker?
What is this one saying? Nonsense and ingredients! angry angry angry
