efavour:I agree with you. The only damage is to the Apostle's image if this linger on for long. Like you said, having conceptual extra-marital affair is not a crime under the law. Just that people will slander his name for being man of God |
When you thought you have seen it all in Nigeria |
Whether she dressed seductive or nude, let the court of law determine who is guilty and who's not |
Much respect for this lady My admiration and respect for her quadruple after watching the movie "Dry" last weekend I wish her all the best NB: If there is anyone with information of non-profit organization that works with female with fistula in Nigeria, please, help provide a link, I will like to make some contribution. I tried google search but couldn't come up with any specifically for Nigerians |
Welcome back Mr. President |
Here we go again |
This isn't worth celebration like you all just won some jackpot. Now it is time to ask questions and stand by the government for getting us out of the recession |
There are so many youth in Nigeria that has allowed hate and bigotry steer their young lifes. They waste enormous amount of energy on a regular basis to display their abhorrence towards other tribes, religions or groups. I'm certain if half as much as this negative energy can be channeled towards something productive, not only will there be positive change to their lifes, people around them will also benefit. There are so many people like this on Nairaland, and the question I'm asking is, what do you all gain from this childish hate and bigotry? |
Fine |
yinkarh187:Dude please don't quote me again, if you don't know the difference between structural components of vehicular bridge and pedestrian bridge. Since houses and vehicular bridges are made of concrete you might as well start parking or driving your car on your decking. I just scroll through your profile now, and I see that you're 300 level civil engineering student in Uni Ilorin. You are a disgrace to the university and all the lecturers that have lectured you from 100 level for you not to know there are differences between structural components of vehicular bridge and pedestrian bridge. Go ask your structural engineering lecturer to explain the differences to you before you graduate because I fear people that give job to you after you graduate. In order to safe lifes, is either you quit engineering or start all over from 100 level to gain the knowledge you might have missed. I'm not here to educate an ignorant like you. I repeat, don't quote me again |
yinkarh187:Reinforced concrete? Dude you know absolute nothing, and you sound rude. Telling me to go get 1 year construction experience before I argue. First of all, I'm not arguing with you dude. Secondly, if you care to know I'm a mechanical engineer practicing in Canada with over 9 years experience. Now that you know I'm a professional engineer, let's talk in engineering term Let's assume the average weight of the people standing on the bridge is 140 pounds, since an average person occupy about 1.5 square feet while standing, this implies that one person is applying an average of 6psi on the bridge. Looking at that picture, it won't be wrong to assume that more than 600 people were on the bridge. This means that about 3600 psi of force is applied on the bridge constantly. Now tell me the tensile strength of a reinforced concrete, and how it could withstand 3600 psi of force consistently subjected to. I guess you are one of those people building houses that keep collapsing and killing people in Nigeria. Next time you want to talk to someone rudely, first fvcking know who they are first |
yinkarh187:Are you for real? A professional engineer will make provision for a situation where hundreds of people will be standing on a bridge at the same time? Do you even know what tensile strength of a material is? Do you know that due to brittle nature of concrete, there is a limit to the tension it can withstand? You must be kidding with that your comment |
Omudia11:Says a man that doesn't know anything about Nigerian writers. What you should have done is to at least google their names |
Op na lie , see the man Bluetooth was named after ![]()
|
Quite informative |
I don't know how much it will cost, but I'm sure 2 million is far from being enough |
Omudia11:Have you heard of names like Helon Habila, Amina Mama and Zainab Alkali |
I think Cyprian Ekwensi and Ola Rotimi should make the list |
NovusHomo:You just disgrace yourself by showing the world that you don't know the big city of Pittsburgh |
kingzizzy:You call Nigeria colonial creation but it didn't occur to you that Eastern Nigeria Ojukwu want to secede with is also Colonial creation and the name Biafra was given by Portuguese. In your earlier post, you said Ojukwu had no option but to go to war after Gowon refused to honour the Aburi agreement. I will tell you it is a lie. Ojukwu had the option of requesting for 2nd, 3rd, 4th or if possible 5th Aburi accord if that was what was required to achieve his demand, but he decided not to take that option because he thought he was smarter than others. He thought he was the only that knew about the massive crude oil reserves found in the Niger delta but unfortunate for him, Gowon would have been informed by the British. |
yinkarh187:I'm not a civil engineer neither am I a civil engineering student. I'm just a student of common sense ![]() |
What is this eyesore for God sake? You don't need to be a civil engineer to know that the tensile strength of the concrete used for the construction of the bridge was not meant to carry so many people. If the bridge eventually collapse and hundreds of people die, you will start blaming devil and ask for God's mercy Instead of waiting for the time to blame the devil, why can't we find a way to solve this problem. My suggestion is for the government to build a traffic light with predestrian crossing one kilometer apart on the road. The traffic light should turn to stop every five minutes during rush hour, and 60 seconds giving for pedestrian light for people to cross. This traffic light should be regularly monitored, and any motorist seen violating the light should be charge with manslaughter. We should learn how to value lifes more in Nigeria |
kingzizzy:You keep saying Adebayo didn't sleep in his house because he thought he was gonna get killed but one thing you forget to mention is that Aguiyi Ironsi also rarely slept overnight in his residence in Lagos because he feared he was going to be killed which explain the reason why the counter coup plotter were only able to kill him in Ibadan. See one thing you don't know is that the likes of Aguiyi-Ironsi, Ogundipe and Adebayo that were trained in Royal Military College in UK were not trained to take over power from Civilian government. But when the January 1966 coup happened, it put a lot of these senior military officers in shock because not only did it implied that military was interfering with politics against their military training, it also meant that known military hierarchy has been broken since junior officers partook in a coup without informing their seniors. So after the july counter coup, it will only be stupid of Adebayo to trust or think he can control the junior officers that just killed the Military head of state. After the july 1966 coup, Nigeria was severely divided along ethnic and religious line. And the most reasonable thing to do was to find a way to sit down and agree on a common ground for the future of the country which resulted in the Aburi accord. Now let's agree that Yakubu broke someone of the agreements, don't you think the best thing for Ojukwu to do was to request for another accord instead of secession. See the moment Ojukwu declared secession and invaded the midwest, he directly called for war. Do I support Ojukwu standing up for his people massacre? Absolutely yes! However, I'm totally against his use of force for this purpose. Like I always say, the civil war was a very stupid and avoidable war that cost us millions of lives and caused more division amongst us. The fact that Ojukwu and Gowon were 32 and 33 years respectively in 1967 implied that the war to them was for no other reason than their personal ego. Now my question for you is, if you were 39 year old man like Adebayo, will you allow the young men to drag you into their ego war? |
Yuck |
Happy birthday |
nnamdiokere45:That wasn't sarcastic. The 2nd comment about the victim not dying as waste but as a sacrifice for money ritual says it all |
maasoap:Now lemme tell you what I mean. I said "arrested and questioned" not "arrested and jailed". This is the reason why he is culpable for cyberbully. If you look at the timeline of the lady that commented about the guy demise, you will notice that she said she saw the suicide message the night prior. on the other hand, if you look at the comments of the Ibidun guy, you will see that he posted them at 11.08pm and 11.17pm of the same night of the suicide note which implies the messages were sent between minutes to few hours to the suicide. Also, the fact that the Ibidun guy felt no remorse for the suicide note could mean that something transpired between the 2 of them. And the only way to know this is by questioning him and doing an investigation |
Ponbolkay:I'm not trying to incite any depression. Without me saying anything, if the Ibidun guy has conscience, he should knee down before God and ask for forgiveness. Words are like eggs, once they break, they can never be put together again. Like my father taught me, if someone is in a predicament, and you don't have anything good to say to ease their problem, it is better you don't say anything |
9japrof:Depressed people are not foolish, they are going through a phase in life that only them understand. I smile when people abuse people that are depressed, only if you understand what they are going through. And dont tell me you don't know what cyberbully is? It is the use of internet to say something negative about someone Now tell me how you will define someone that said "if you want to kill yourself, don't die for waste, let's use u for money ritual" |
