Mrcdorv: Who do you think is faulty,is it not the failure of our leaders so far, refused to put right amenities in places, instead they encourage crime and corruption.I am not here to blame anybody because I always use my brain at all time. so because our leaders failed, we should just sit and watch while the country fall like pack of cards? are we not suppose to put efforts and young minds into making the country better?? |

noblezone: Nigeria is not an really "African" nation, it is an extension of the brutish British (slave masters) nation. Yes, I call them slave masters because that s what there are!
Nothing is original here! Our political system is not original. That it is working for the slave masters does not mean it will work for us. If we want to build great African nations with Nigeria as an example, then we must sit down and negotiate. It was the slave masters that negotiated Nigeria. She was negotiated in London and not in African soil by Africans. Our constitution is neither here nor there. We are just beating about the bush.
Until we negotiate Nigeria properly and have the peoples constitution, we are just wasting our time! Those who are scared of negotiating a split are just myopic. This drag for supremacy will continue and the circle of blood will never end.
It has flown in the south East, it later went to the south South and now it is happening in the north. Shall we wait more, perhaps when it reaches south west, then we can wake up?
Perhaps, you will say it will never happen in the south west? Well, the Igbos never knew that suddenly, Nigerians would be against them. killing them at will. The South South people never knew that suddenly, soldiers would invade their lands, wiping out communities? Do you think the north prepared for what is happening today?
Is it not enough?
It is not only in Nigeria. All over Africa we have conflicts and armed struggles. People in the same so called Nations, killing one another for supremacies. My heart is bleeding for Africa! We sell our natural resources, used it to buy arms and then kill ourselves.
On this so many a kid and greedy "leaders" misunderstand us and call us names! Yet, our passion is so deep rooted in seeing darkness role away.
When will Africa get it right?
When shall we stop consumption and start production? When shall we stop importing and start exporting? When shall we stop buying arms from our "masters" and rather manufacture and sell arms to them to kill themselves too? Don't misunderstand me, I am not wishing them evil! I am rather angry at our stupidity as a people!
Where are the real patriots? Where are the real progressives? Where are the real Africans? Our best brains are running away from our lands! Running to greener pastures. Yet, America was built by Americans. Britain was built by the British. Chinese are building China!
Am I blaming the slave masters?
No, I commend them for being smart and I rather blame Africans for being so silly. Why must we import food, when we have good soils? were we not growing our food before now?
We got the brains, we got the resources but lack the will! Rise up or Africans, rise up! this is a clarion call. Mr. Writer, your piece is neither nor there you started with Nigeria will break, now its Africa. maybe u need to talk your brothers who say they are Jews..they are the fake Africans...until we agree that we are one Nigeria, we won't move forward |

londoner: Obasanjo has a sudden "wave of conscience" and conviction for change, simply because GEJ is not following his orders any more.
This is not about Nigeria, the youth or anything else, except using his influence to remove GEJ due to personal conflicts. you are wrong if you look at it from that angle.....it is just coincidental that he said this at a time when the present government is not measuring up to standard..... and if you look at it from the other end, his use of GEJ as VP to Yar'adua was to make sure that the minority group is duly recognized and represented in government but instead for GEJ to use that opportunity to write is name and and region in the sand of time, he blew the chance, misused the opportunity and turned the country 20yrs backward.. now if u were OBJ, will you sit and watch? |

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has told youths to take up the responsibility and effect the needed change in Nigeria instead of blaming the previous generations for the nation’s decay. The former President said this at the 100th-year anniversary of Ijero Baptist Church in Lagos on Sunday. Obasanjo said the generation before him fought for Nigeria’s independence while his generation fought for Nigeria’s unity during the civil war. He said the subsequent generation also fought for democracy. Obasanjo, therefore, said it was time for the next generation to make its own contribution to national development instead of complaining. He said, “Recently, a son of my friend looked at everything around him and got angry and went to meet his dad who is my age mate. He told his father that our generation is a lost one. The father did not pay him any attention so he came to meet me. “He told me what he told his father and justified it by telling me that he went to the university and graduated but got no job. So, our generation has failed him. So I told him that it is normal because that was how we used to blame the generation before us. “But I told him that the generation before mine was the one that fought for our independence. Whichever way we want to criticise them, they gave us independence. Then my generation which you say is not good, fought the civil war. We fought for the unity of Nigeria and if we did not do so, you probably would need a visa to travel to Kano or Port Harcourt. Not only that but that generation also established the foundation of democracy. “So what do you claim your generation has achieved? It is part of it. We have seen what successive leaders of each generation have done, what can we say about you? What can we say about your generation?” http://www.punchng.com/news/fight-for-nigerias-survival-obasanjo-tells-youths/ |

SamIkenna: Average core northerner sees nationals of Chad, Niger, Mali, and Sudan as brothers and 'country men.' Yet these same people the north calls 'brothers' have, in the last 4 years, been desecrating core northern landscape alongside Boko Haram. The funny thing is that they would rather believe a phantom Uche, Tamuno, or Akpan is the real Boko Haram than their Chadian 'brother' sponsors. I guess blaming it on Okeke or Ihejirika helps them sleep at night.
Anyways, until the core north realizes that the politics of lake Chad oil basin is the reason Boko Haram isn't going anywhere soon, then I suggest they look for a longer list because in the end all our names will make it to Arewa's 'book' of Boko Haram sponsors. They'll probably write our names multiple times without noticing. Won't be surprised if by tomorrow Junaid takes to his megaphone and attacks Sam_Ikenna for sponsoring BH. Ask him why, he will tell you it had to be Ikenna because he (Junaid) has an Igbo daughter. God will so much bless you guy, I've been thinking towards that angle lately... The Chadian President is using boko haram to destabilize the northeast so as to gain access to the lake chad oil reserve and be in sole control with Module Sheriff being his Nigerian partner. But its sad that GEJ is too dumb to use his brain. |
Politics › Political Associate Of Chadian President Idriss Déby Arrested With Missiles by smada13(op): 12:21am On Nov 23, 2014 |
A Cameroonian investigative journalist, Bisong Etahoben, is reporting via Twitter the arrest of Mahamat Bichara Gnoti, a close associate of Chadian President IIdriss Déby Itno. Mr. Gnoti was reportedly arrested on the Chadian- Sudan border with 19 SAM2 missiles he purchased from the Sudanese army meant for the Boko Haram terrorist network in northeastern Nigeria. Mr. Gnoti who claimed that President Idriss Déby gave him the funds to purchase the weapons, had waved a presidential pass issued to him by Mr. Deby’s office in order to get past border guards but was stopped and searched by the guards who found the deadly weapons on him. There has not been an official confirmation or denial either by the Chadian or the Nigerian authorities. A text message sent to the office of Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), the National Security Adviser in Nigeria regarding Gnoti’s arrest did not receive a response, an aide said Mr. Dasuki is traveling in Mexico. However, the arrest of Mr. Gnoti, if confirmed, will provide solid evidence that the Chadian president is largely behind the Boko Haram lightning insurgency in Nigeria’s northwest. Mr. Derby recently swindled the Nigerian government out of millions of dollars in Nigeria's failed attempt to negotiate the release of some 200 high school girls abducted by Boko Haram from Chibok town last April. On September 8th President Goodluck Jonathan made a dramatic visit to N’djamena to meet with Idris Derby, Mr. Jonathan was accompanied on the trip by the former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sherrif. The visit was condemned by opposition figures and civil society groups in Nigeria as they see it as an open embrace of individuals funding Boko Haram militants. An Australian negotiator, Stephen Davis had accused Mr. Sheriff and former Chief of Army Staff, Azubuike Ihejirika of actively funding Boko Haram. source: http://saharareporters.com/2014/11/22/political-associate-chadian-president-idriss-déby-arrested-missiles-meant-boko-haram#.VHD0JyEGBfI.facebook |
