So, you now have to strike out my thoughts? So many youths these days have no manners!.....

You cannot compare the time of conquest to this present issue, they are two different things entirely...maybe you need to go back to history and check why the Uthman Dan Fodios go for battles, then compare it with this mess going on...

The national Fulani secretary has plenty of cheques that runs in large sums, which are used to fund all this attacks

From ammunition procurement to payment of each of the terrorist.
they are very ready to fight to any length.

All they need is a signal from any region where indigenous people have existing or new issues with herdsman, then this Fulani terror wing will take it up.

Funding is not a problem for them.

my advice is; Fulani's national chairperson and national secretary should be arrested and investigated.

Why do we always want to blame others for our misfortune?
We run away from problems instead of finding solution though the root cause.

Nigeria lacks Good Crisis Management system.
These Crisis can be nipped at the first stage( Pro droma). But we care less about being proactive but likes being reactive so we can get glories to ourselves or administration.

We have a long way to go.

Hope you are not saying I'm blaming others for crisis...

What I rather tried to do is make people see things from other perspectives and have an understanding of the root cause of the crisis to enable is find solution quick.. thanks

You have blamed everybody except the people commiting the crimes themselves. From what you have written it is also clear that you have not had one on one experience these people.
1. These herdsmen are not faceless. Many of them are know to their victims. These are herdsmen living on the outskirts of their host communities and they attack once dey start having issues with their landlords. The gunmen like those you saw in that video are only invited from far away places once the local fulanis get outnumbered and outsmarted.
2. For instance, one of my Fulani friends told me of how the Fulani man herding their cattle travelled from Yola all the way to Benue state to fight for two weeks! Do you still think he was called and sponsored by the great devil America for that trip?

Maybe you need to first check the topic to know the pattern the write up followed....and I've not ruled out the fact that 'some' Fulani men attack but for a reason....

With all the rantings on social network about Fulani herdsmen's killings and the siddon look approach people thought the government is applying, I seem not to see it from that end but from two different angles.

1) the west in their several attempts to destabilize Nigeria, delay its growth and possibly break it up; after seeing the efforts the Nigerian army is putting into nipping the insurgency in the bud and seeing that the insurgency no longer has the willpower to destabilize the country cuz I still see the boko haram insurgency as CIA's covert operation against Nigeria. They now resorted to arming some unscrupulous elements and probably some Fulani guys too to go on rampage. the earlier we look at things from here the better and faster it with be for us to attack it from all fronts and end it as early as possible....

2) The second angle is, some gun running businessmen who were making serious money from the insurgency have decided to shift attention to the nonthinking Fulanis and arming them to cause mayhem so as to continue making their "blood" money

..but rather for so many a people to sit and think deeply about this killings, they resorted to calling the President names and all what nots.....we should first ask ourselves that "is gun now something every Jack, dick and harry can get?" "who are those supplying these 'people' with arms?"

I saw a video the other day of people in a boat with arms and I wonder "are these Fulani herdsmen?" "what do they really stand to gain with the killings?"

I related with a few Fulani guys during my service year in kwara and I understood that they CANNOT attack anybody without a cause not minding the fact that they value their Cows even more than their families...and I can assure that these sort of attack is more than the Fulanis....

violence in Nigeria started from the Jos brouhaha to Militancy, Boko haramism to Kidnapping, and now Fulani herdsmen attacks.

Aren't we suppose to think? Some set of people are so hell bent on destabilizing this county but God won't allow them.

Whatever evil against the oneness of Nigeria will not prevail and so shall it be!

This is solely my write up and should not be plagiarized...

Sports / Jos High Court Denies Giwa by smada13(m): 7:10am On Apr 28, 2016
The Registrar of the Federal High Court, Jos, Chika Udenkwo has poured cold water on the claim by the Chris Giwa group in the crisis threatening the peace of Nigeria’s football that the Court sacked the Amaju Pinnick-led Board of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

In a video message sent to Sports Vanguard, Udenkwo,
in explaining the court order brought by the Giwa group
said it was in respect of a motion on notice dated January 29, 2016 and filed on February 3, 2016.

He said the motion prayed for three orders namely extension of time to re-list, order to re-list and lastly restoration of all orders made.

The Court, he said, ruled for extension of time within which to apply to re-list for hearing and determination of the suit together with all the motions pending which were discontinued and struck out by the court on
October 30, 2014.

He said the court also restored all orders made by it in 2014 in the suit brought by the Giwa group, stressing that “there is no place in the order where the court removed Amaju Pinnick as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation.”

He added that the only controversy was an interim order in respect of a “Motion Exparte” brought by Obinna Ogba and Yahaya Adama for the Giwa group restraining the third
defendants who were Aminu Maigari, Musa Ahmadu as well as the Executive Committee of the then board and all the 36 state FAs pending the determination of the Motion on Notice.

“You can see that from that ruling, there is no place in the ruling where the court mentioned Amaju Pinnick,” Udenkwo stressed.

This disclosure is contrary to the stories peddled by the Giwa group that the Jos High Court sacked the Pinnick-led NFF and that they were the authentic NFF and thus were prepared to take over the NFF secretariat.

Nigerians voted for change and to attain that change there is a need to do things differently, in the recognition that doing what we have always done will only result in more of the same. That change has started with the vital offensive against corruption, which has had a huge and adverse effect on our economy. Much of the debilitating underinvestment in our infrastructure that has handicapped our economic growth, has arisen because funds were diverted to enrich a few at the expense of the wider populace. At the lower levels, the waste, inefficiency and culture of non-performance have, like a financial cancer, eaten away at our core institutions. We are already
beginning to see change. The slide towards self-destruction has slowed down but we must now work collectively to ensure that we exploit the upside from our situation.

Globally the downturn has hit all nations, rich and poor alike. The manner in which governments have intervened to protect their economies have been diverse and innovative. What is abundantly clear is the fact that the previous consensus about what is best for the global economy is rapidly changing. There is a concerted move towards individualism rather than collectivist. The new normal for the global economy is that there is no normal, each nation must painstakingly work out the best path to follow.

For Nigeria, we believe that the best path to follow is to invest in infrastructure that will unlock the potential inthe non oil sectors. We can transition from being a commodity economy to an industrialised, regionally dominant one. Oil is important but clearly, oil it not enough. Iran is a very recent and relevant example of living without oil. The sanctions that embargoed Iran’s oil led to the development of robust petrochemical and other export industries that enabled the country to survive. Iran survived without oil, made tough decisions and is now being feted by investors as the next growth story.

The focus of our economic policy is to redress the infrastructure deficit, unlock the rich diversity in the economy with a determined and focussed turnaround
programme . For us it would be a tragedy to have endured so much pain and not emerge better and stronger. The provision of a spending stimulus to the economy is critical to releasing the upside in the economy. Investing specifically in Power and Transportation will release the opportunities in solid minerals, manufacturing and agriculture.

However, government spending alone is insufficient to bridge the infrastructure gap and there is a need to embrace private capital to provide additional impact.
We are at an advanced stage of reforming the process for Public Private Partnerships to provide a seamless pathway to attracting much needed private, financial and operational input to service delivery. Private capital brings more than financial resources; it also brings discipline and best practice, creating a benchmark against which the utilisation of public money can be measured.

It is important to link the fiscal housekeeping initiatives
that we have started with the wider economic strategy.
Specifically, questions around the focus on corruption
and the elimination of ghost workers, controlling
inefficient spending and preventing revenue leakages,
need to be evaluated in the context of how it impacts
our ability to stimulate the economy. We have been
increasing our level of borrowing annually, and much of
that is used to fund recurrent spending. Indeed in 2015
just 10% of spending went to capital items. We spent
more on travel, training and stationery than on roads.
No nation has ever developed with such consistent
underinvestment in capital.
Growing the economy at a rate that will address the
employment needs of our huge population requires a
fundamental change in how government collects its
revenues and spends. The 2016 budget is deficit
financed; and the fiscal housekeeping which is
aggressively blocking revenue leakages and reducing
costs is firmly aimed at ensuring that the borrowed
funds are channelled into capital projects, rather than
seeping through an inefficient financial management
system. This is not only prudent economics but it is a
moral necessity, since these borrowings will be repaid
by future generations. Therefore, while we focus fully
on the macroeconomic indicators; we must and will
continue to focus on the micro factors which
collectively shape and determine the larger picture.
The road map to attaining our objectives is a tough
one, and we may endure the financial pain for longer
than we would prefer, but the upside is that we have
actually already endured the worst part of the
adjustment cycle. The outlook for oil prices is looking
more positive but we are fundamentally determined to
ignore oil. One word that will resonate across all that
we do in government is ‘Discipline’. Financial discipline
is going to be a game changer in shaping the future of
Nigeria’s economy.
Our focus will make sure that ‘every naira counts’
irrespective of its source. The government is ready and
determined to lead this crusade of financial
responsibility. The big questions are:

s the populace ready to do the right thing in their
respective areas of operations?

Are we willing to be frugal and conservative in
expenditure?

Are we as custodians of the nation’s wealth willing to
manage the resources entrusted to us with care,
knowing that someday we will be called to account?

Are we willing to confront those who mismanage our
collective wealth regardless of the consequences?

Dare we look at what worked successfully in the 50s
and 60s, and then modernise and re-enact them?

Dare we look at global trends, and courageously
invest in our forecasted choices?

Nigeria stands on the threshold, daring to move into
previously uncharted territory through identifying and
embracing novel economic and fiscal policy
stratagems that will release our considerable upside.
We are for innovation to create a new workable path,
courage, and discipline to implement and build a
resilient economy that is not controlled by the oil price.
This is the first of three articles by Adeosun, minister of
finance.

Politics / Dasukigate: A Rallying Cry by smada13(m): 9:45am On Jan 18, 2016
Good morning everyone, saw this on Facebook and felt like sharing it here

People's Court:
I really want to sleep but I'm tempted to write this to all who
had been saying rubbish concerning the ongoing Dasukigate of $2.1bilion.
I think many don't know how much 2 billion dollars worth and what it could achieve. So they de-euphemise the gravity of the offence….as at the time of sharing that
money last year..A dollar was about 220 naira..
So if you calculate the worth of 2.1bilion in naira.. That's a
whooping 525 billion naira..
Ahhhhhhh.. Half a trillion Naira..
In a country where the whole of Lagos state get between 9
to 10 bilion naira as monthly allocation even at the height of oil boom.. I'm not sure it's up to that..
This is to cater for the needs of over 25 million people in
Lagos..
So in a year, Lagos alone at the height of oil boom could
only access 120 billion naira in a year.. And if paid regularly the amount Dasuki squandered could take care of Lagosians comfortably for 5years..
Oyo State allocation is around 4. 5 billion in to cater for
about estimated 10milion people in Oyo State..
They could be wrong but census had about 5milion as the
Last time so in a year oyo State could only access About 50bilion!
And it will take the whole oyo State 10 years at least to
finish 500bilion plus..
Ahhhhhhh and you people out there are so audacious to be
clamouring for the release of this kind of animals who care less about the lives of fellow human beings. For God's sake there are 1000 pieces of 1milion in a billion..
I mean 1milion naira in 1000 places..
If you wake up in the morning and you spend 1milion naira
daily, you will only manage to spend 365 to 366milion naira in a year and it may take you like 4years to squander 1bilion naira if you live moderately on 1milion naira per day as allowance so 500bilion would take how many years to finish.. (about 2000 years)
Only a Mad man could do that.. That's why psychiatric tests
should be done for these people..
Dasuki is just over 60 years old and at worst he will have 30
more years to live in this sinful world, tell me..
Can he ever spent that much before he dies. Why are we
so wicked in this country..
So far these are the list identified

Isa Jafaru. N160m
I'm not a good mathematician but if you sum this up Buhari
hasn't recovered 25 billion from the misappropriated arms fund alone yet you want him to give Suzuki or what is name is bail just because of democracy..
Democracy my foot..
For God sake.. We are not talking about the yearly allocation for security oo..
Just the one we call extra budgetary funds.. What if Buhari
looks at how the annual security votes were been spent in the last 6 years, we will weep for this country, yet they still misappropriated a whooping 2.1bilion dollars!!!!
We are yet to talk of various funds under Deziani, not what
Tukur did at Railway, not what Fani Kayode did at Aviation despite innocent death from air crashes...
Why Nigerians.. This isn't an APC/PDP fight.. Fight for your
right, fight for your lives, fight for your
immediate children.. Fight for your grand children.. Instead some are foolishly crying for Biafra forgetting to fight those
who destroyed Nigeria. Fight those people first before you
ask for your country Biafra because if/when you leave those destroyers would leave with you and eventually
destroy your new country if you ever get it..
Boko haramists are senseless.. Let me leave you alone for
I'm sad and broken hearted for now.

Kudos to John Dash Lazing

Celebrities / Olamide Vs Don Jazzy: The Genesis by smada13(m): 6:41pm On Jan 02, 2016
Olamide did a Kanye yesterday at the Headies 2015. The
artiste whose introduction to limelight was brought by a
song titled ‘Eni duro’ was on stage with his YBNL crew to
receive an award on behalf of one of the label’s artistes
by the name Adekunle Gold. And the rest is history. Olamide took a swipe at the Next Rated Category Award won by Mavin Records artist, Reekado Banks saying that ‘Lil Kesh’ of the Shoki fame deserved to win the award. Olamide said;

“Adekunle Gold let’s be honest, this award belongs to Lil
Kesh, because Lil Kesh is our Next Rated artist”, he said.
“Every single was a hit back to back, from ‘Lyrically’ to
‘Shoki’ to ‘Efejoku’”.

A close look at the video suggests something different.
The YBNL boss transitioned from laugher (‘jokin sturvz’)
according to Falz to a more virulent attack on what can be
called the music industry; the award organizers, show
promoters, Club and Radio DJs, OAPs, Label executives,
Distributors, Groupies and Celebrity baby hunters and the
Corporate side of the business.
Olamide cursed, dropped the mic, cursed some more,
threw the cup containing his drink (we don’t assume the
cup contained Pepsi) and continued his onslaught on
Twitter.

But Don Jazzy thinks – we believe he does not – that it is
about a car. The Hyundai prize to the winner of the award
category. Don Jazzy got on stage and took a jibe against
Olamide in a rather pretentious manner calling him ‘Egbon
Olamide’, “if you want the car you can have it”

Don Jazzy is the Dangote of the mainstream corporate
music industry today and rightly caught his sub as people
would say. Don Jazzy whose Koko Records has become
the Mavin Records has built an empire that has shown
what only Don Jazzy today can do; which is to Make or
Break an artiste.

Dbanj, Wande Coal may have released good songs since
leaving Don Jazzy’s stable but they have since lost their
greatness. Don Jazzy is the music industry and understands the shenanigans from Airplay to Corporate
Board Games. Every single artiste in the Mavin Records
empire has an endorsement deal even Korede Bello is the
face of the Nigerian Police Force.

‘Olopa abeg sir’

Lil Kesh is probably richer than Reekado Banks. We are
aware this dude who is signed on to Olamide’s YBNL got
himself a Range Rover in one of the most depressing years of the Nigerian Economy. Probably depression makes the Music Industry boom. This is an area of research to be explored by Social Scientists.

How do you have so much money to afford a Range Rover
but still don’t get recognized as you deserve?

Is it corporate Shenanigans? A school of thought holds
that the Next Rated Category sponsored by the embattled
Telecoms giant MTN cannot be won by an Artist Lil Kesh
who is an Etisalat Ambassador, where Etisalat is seen as
a major rival to MTN.

But this wasn’t about Olamide who should ordinarily be
feeling Good about winning the Headies Award for the
Artist of the year 2015 but this is ‘Deeper than Rap’ like
Rick Ross.

In a theme song for the HipHop World Awards titled ‘How
Much do you want it’ featuring Banky W and female
rapper Kel, M.I’s lyrics read; “This is the music industry
paying you reverence, the birds in the sky this is what
they flying for, this is for why we live, this is what we
dying for’

It dates back 2 years ago, June 11, 2014 where Olamide
ranted about the discrimination in the music Industry but it
went unnoticed. Olamide discussed the Mainland and
Island Caucus discrimination especially at events and
condemned it vehemently. In his words;

“The look on my face when I dey event and I see
musicians forming caucus; Island caucus and Mainland
circus; fools. I just light my (cigarette); and cack where
normal people dey. lol. Not in for that bullsh*t binsheeees.
To whom it may concern,”

Olamide is like a lone voice in wilderness but his action at
the Headies 2015 awards last night is exactly what resonates within most within the Industry.

This is an interesting dimension as it is reminiscent of the
East Coast, West Coast, Compton, Brooklyn beef of the 90’s American Rap Industry.

But that was not the only time Olamide expressed his
displeasure over this, in another interview with
NotJustOk.com in 2015

“Mainland and Island P, Omo Mehn, E get Many Many
Many drama wey I ben dey see, like when I comot, I go for
industry night back then and all that, the way wey people
they arrange. some go just (making hand gestures to left
and right direction) some go dey, some go see this, some
go greet blah blah blah. You know the whole arrangee P. I
was like which kain levels be this. Me I no come here
come do Mainland, Island with anybody oh. Me I be full
street , I be hustler, If I see anybody wey I like I go relate
with you. If I greet you if your papa no answer me your
problem men. I will move on. I saw that and I was not
happy with it so I spoke about it. Thats just it. If them like
make them unite or make them (The Industry) no unite. If
people for Mainland or Island fit dey form for Mainland or
Island, why dey go fit dey come up dey talk about the
government say the government no send the people if we
ordinary people no send ourselves”

Compare this earlier with the following tweets from
Olamide and you will realize that ‘No be today’, the tweets
as follows show the experience Olamide endured like most
others who cannot speak, the mainland ‘streets’ mentality
and the inferiority complex in the industry including the
fact that he damned the consequences of calling out the
‘god of the Nigerian music industry’. Read:

"I went through all ds ish when I was hustlin like Kesh …. But mehn no one to fight for me .. I had to do that for the
poor boy .. And fucking gave her Manager to call me Bleep nigga .. Don’t come to d mainland .. Honestly .. Bleep u !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am fucking mainland .
He said if I want car I should come n take it seriously ? Do i look like ur maids ? Ppl wey de produce for u wey u de put ur name ? Bleep boy Don jazzy is human … Not God I only
aired my opinion .. Don’t mention my name … Biko .."

One would have expected a flurry of opinion from various
Artistes since last night but they have been largely mute.
Olamide has echoed the inner sentiment of a large group
of Nigerian Artistes who feel segregated. Besides Phyno a
known ally of Olamide YBNL in the indigenous rap
category, Wande Coal a former DonJazzy protege, and
Burna boy not much has been said.

Olamide may have acted wrongly but he hits at the
hypocrisy of the Nigerian Music and Movie celebrities who
pretend to be in love with each other and who are afraid of
the consequences of expressing their feelings.

The lesson here is that there is nothing like a music family, what we have as it should be is an industry and in every Industry the rule is competition. Olamide should join the Boardroom and beat Don Jazzy in this musical chess game next time and forget about playing Ludo in the Streets.

May 2016 bring us more of this. In other news Olamide
has since apologized for his conduct......
