Selling your state lodge if it ever happened is inconsequential compared to how the Nigerian government is constantly selling the future of her citizens to China and other first world nations through chronic borrowings and loan collections. I wish that when it is time to present collaterals for these useless loans, they can use their dumb followers who sing their praises, rather than support good security, job creation, quality health care services, first class education, great business policies and genuine development |
And once they hear that Europe and the USA are opening up their aviation sectors and others, without an honest appraisal of if they have done exactly what these countries have done to contain the virus, they also have began announcing how they will also open up |
I don't know why basic infrastructural necessities are commissioned by Nigerian politicians. Never heard of such in the developed world...rather u just begin to enjoy an upgraded system of living as an evidence of development without the fanfare of commisioning |
Is there anything in Nigeria that doesn't have a black market? Because of our inefficiency in testing due to unlimited excuses, pls let the black market sales of the kit go on jare if it will guarantee more citizens to have rapid diagnosis from point of care testing and even safeguard health workers to rule out Covid 19 from patients who approach hospitals to treat other health challenges. Look at the countries opening up their economies gradually, it's because they are testing massively and not crawling with inconsistent figures of testing each day. Does NCDC think they will put citizens in this psychological captivity of not knowing their Covid 19 status even when they have suspected having exposure with confirmed cases? In advanced countries, a lot of testing has been done, but here in naija, even the test results announced on a said day are not for samples collected same day, and more infected persons can't even get tested even when they report themselves of showing symptoms. |
It's not a joke when health issues are subjected to doubts. If patients were tested from Kogi and they are said to be positive, there is no amount of cover up the Kogi governor can put up. I think the personal sentiment of the Governor is that the virus is a scam and he has used his power to force all his political subjects to speak with that notion. This is what the Akwa Ibom governor was doing, and even sacked a seasoned state epidemiologist for taking samples of suspected cases. Meanwhile the Kogi governor and his family would have taken a safe cover in government house while the citizens are being misled to sing the Covid 19 scam song. Let him simply nominate his own state medical team to be present while test samples from the state are being analyzed by the NCDC, so that empirical results obtained won't be disputed. No amount of money to be embezzled for fronting a scam can compensate for what governments are losing each day accross the globe. You don't reject scientific results like political party agents reject election results. Let the state government go ahead to show us the test results they have conducted in Kogi and their outcome |
Don't panick further...just go and see a cardiologist...it is good the prognosis was made early. Sensitive health related results like this should also be handled privately, and not best shared on a public forum |
The WHO DG is from Ethopia, and its for this reason I advocate that he uses wisdom to support a thorough clinical trial of whatever herbal remedy has been put forward for use as a drug from Madagascar rather than hastily dismissing it's potency outrightly. It seems a greater part of the doubting world want to see Madagascar severely hit by Covid 19 so as to laugh at their remedy and mock their herbal tea. But Madagascar and other Africans who sympathize with them should know that no one is saying that their Covid organics has no effect against the virus, but is the therapeutic effect significant, based on a wider scale population use over time and accross all regions of the world? Also, what contraindications can occur while on treatment with Covid organics. When everything is standardized, we can now understand the therapeutic index, therapeutic dose, and lethal dose as well as it's suitability for infants and those with underlying conditions. No one in this age and time needs a drug remedy without full understanding of it's mechanism of action and contraindications. If we have research experts in Africa, then let's validate our therapeutic options for Covid 19, else we'll look like fools to the rest of the world if what we so hyped fails us. |
There is nothing silent about a pandemic in the mould of Covid 19, so the WHO shouldn't expect Africans to drop dead in the streets as earlier predicted. It appears by some form of uniqueness, Africa hasn't had some terrible death news headlines. WHO should rather encourage our government to strengthen the public health system, while encouraging massive orientation on preventive strategies and research. |
I'm sure that if u take off that facemask from the old man, u'll discover that he was blushing over what he had been seeing. Any healing he gets as a result of what he's seeing from that nurse's body will be permanent, and he will never suffer a relapse |
Alright...since your creativity is returning u to Eden u can do that. Interestingly more than half the number of critics will secretly want to see the video....a lot of people are just moralists in criticisms but their actions are complicit |
Pls call the name as it is...of the different account types we have in banks, there is nothing like secret account, it is stolen funds. Maybe who knows if 'secret account' has been added as another type of bank account for this shithole Nigerian politicians...Shame |
To be honest there is nothing to be excited about here cos these funds will never be used for any purpose that will benefit the citizenry. Once they struggle to pay salaries of government workers, that's the end cos no one can understand in real terms how judiciously the rest of the funds improve the lives of many more citizens who aren't in the payroll of government |
Funny enough, Madam Minister surely earns a whole lot more per month and may never suffer delay in salary payments and other juicy incentives but you still delay the payment of very little stipends to those whose income level is not at top level. There must be something wrong about Nigerian office holders that is irredeemable, that is why I dont bother wasting my prayer topic for the country |
As much as I dislike the attitude of Nigerian politicians to show off while unveiling projects that are their statutory responsibilities to perform with tax payers monies, I feel your argument here maybe misplaced. Whether the building inspected was originally planned to be an Accident and Emergency Unit donation by the Governor, doesn't matter at this point. What matters most is that the governor feels he can equip the building to manage the health cases resulting from the current Covid 19 pandemic in his state. Very likely, when the dust of Covid 19 settles, the building may return to it's original purpose and facilities redeployed for other health care services. If there are any other intentions from the governor or his handlers which negates from providing quality healthcare services to the people of Ebonyi, then it becomes a charade that can't impress right thinking Nigerians, but I must commend the governor's effort nonetheless. |
They just want to save their shameful faces, let it not be that despite their existence, another african country's professional research organization brought a potential medical solution. |
What a funny coincidence that the names of their countries all begins with M (i.e Mauritania, Mauritius), and very likely Madagascar will join the list....well to be honest, if certain things are done transparently in principle and action based on containing this virus, it is possible to at least contain it until zero cases are recorded. If Nigeria had regional independence, each having very strong laws, I think there would have been a better approach to containing this viral disease. Let's stay positive anyway |
It's because our democracy is a sham, how else can the sentiment of one man elected as a governor affect a whole population living within a state. In cases like this, if it is certain that there are unreported cases and the governor is sabotaging the effort of the health authorities, he should be impeached. However, lest I forget, almost of the legislative arm of government is a rubber stamp to the executive arm in Nigeria. |
Just look at the people that want to be allowed to develop their nuclear enrichment and stock up nuclear weapons...in life, u may own a thing but not coordinated enough to handle it, and once that is noticed someone must regulate u else, your actions will end humanity...that's why the USA won't stop being their watchdog |
I worry sincerely that there is little we as Nigerians are doing to avoid rapid spread of this virus. Sentiments aside, it's now in our hands as citizens to contain it at least at an individual level cos no matter how we blame the foolish Nigerian government, it won't change the fact that what they initially would have done can't be reversed now. |

From what I read up there, the supreme Court has not acquitted him, but only ordered that the case be reassigned for trial |
I'm quite sure, this creature was caught and handed to him to pose with the camera. Unfortunately, in other climes some animal rights activists will see this as an offense and may call for his resignation. However, since he is from a farming community, he may sure know how delicious this will taste in a government house pot |
Is cow meat now oxygen that they want to kill themselves to bring to the South by all means? Why can't they sell it to themselves in their region rather than exporting this virus to the South in the name of essential services provision. Wike must continue in this might cos most times when u are quiet about issues, stubborn individuals conclude you are weak. For many of the security agencies personnels who aid them to keep moving in their numbers from high Covid 19 burden states, you won't be spared of being infected. We just have criminals, stubborn and corrupt minded individuals in this country, but everyone pretends to be religious and moralists and this attitude may not help us win this fight against the virus easily without huge casualties |
For this Governor, he has chased the team with evil intentions from his state. Well, to be honest, the effect of the virus can never be hidden for long should it be present. While no one wishes there should be cases in Kogi, we are also aware that as a confluence state it is expected that with our poor border control, some fleeing residents of states with high numbers of confirmed cases would have filtered into Kogi. The real result of all these grandstanding will be out on PDF soon. Hopefully, since it concerns the lives of people u won't politicize it. I see nothing brilliant this Governor has put in place for prevention. His null hypothesis is that there is no case but he doesn't want any independent body to settle in and get their suspicion verified |
This news can cause a nightmare. Unfortunately, some citizens are not complying with interstate ban on travels and we have messed up things by not upholding safety precautions while the lockdown is being relaxed. The Noah's ark this time around is to take necessary precautions that may limit all associated risk. Kudos to the front line medics...Stay safe people |
Nigerians can be so stubborn. If there isn't any justifiable reason, why did u have to do an interstate travel and potentially put yourself at risk when various travel advisories have been issued for sane reasons? Now see where things are now pointing to which may directly affect your health, those of close contacts, and the collective well-being of your community where u reside. I wish you quick recovery anyway, and potentially hope that u aren't Covid 19 positive |
This is coming late cos there seem to have been confirmed cases from that palace already. Once it appeared there was Covid 19 in Nigeria, places of interest would have had restrictions and modifications to their organization. Unfortunately, in Nigeria things will have to go out of hand before we begin trying to fix things. Let's keep living with our wrong action plans, and see if we will ever move an inch forward in the war against this virus |
That inefficient and clueless Ganduje needs to be thrown out into the sea like Jonah in the Bible...his decisions on critical issues are so dumb but he is very skillful in manipulations and corrupt innovations. I wish this was a Big brother house decision, he would have been evicted. Pls Kano residents, those of you with wisdom, develop your own unique safety plans cos u don't have a government |
Let's all gear up with whatever personal precautionary measures while we live daily in this situation, cos it appears at this point that nobody can trust who is a carrier of this virus or not...there is a rapid community spread and we haven't even peaked yet. Meanwhile, some states are still clueless on how to manage this pandemic. Kano is rising in the number of cases each day as seen in the periodic table meanwhile the government there is decreasing in knowledge cos of a misfit they have as a governor, and this makes the chances of recovery in Kano to fate. |
The situation with political administration in Nigeria, and Kano to be particular is a shame. The governor there is so dumb that I doubt if he can even pass a current aptitude test to gain entrance to any university BSc Programme, unless ofcourse the questions may be set on strategies to stuff stolen funds and dethrone non sycophant traditional rulers. To think that should it be certain that those deaths were from COVID 19, a majority of those who attended and conducted such burials in Kano may already be infected and their cases maybe announced in positive confirmed tests results between 7-14 days from now. We need to ammend our constitution to be able to impeach dumb political office holders cos u can't endanger a majority of citizens you rule over with your bereft or non-existent ideas to lead people |
You can't be trying to solve one problem, and in the end create some worst problems. There are serious health implications when humans or even other life forms are exposed to chemicals of such nature. Well, this is what happens when the reckless authorities feel there is no future for those young kids and those who brought them to the world have gladly donated them to the street, without an inch of feeling of what becomes of them., afterall they will keep marrying multiple women and can keep reproducing. There are some parts of the world that all visions and mandates of United Nations bodies will never work cos of their decision to be backward and a godforsaken government they have...Unfortunately this state is a typical example |
