So where is the story of his confessions coming from You are asking me again? I said you should tell us the truth since you know better. Why him of all people? I have no clue but you since you are so sure what we have read is false, we can safely assume you have some answers. Please share. |

History555: Lies. Yesterday they claimed he was arrested in forest in Enugu by vigilante. Today the claim is that he was arrested in a neighbouring community. In the video the man is denying anything to do with the crime. Meanwhile the story the op posted is that they were informed he mentioned names, fulani paid 5m. Nobody saw him confess. Just rumour stories. Cover up has started So, you tell us the truth, why is it that the vigilante picked him in particular? |

Racoon: This was before the bridge collapsed and the born to rule mentality set things apart. Rather, this was in the time when Zik and the NCNC were collaborating with the North to marginalise the south west (including the midwest at this time), with the hope that Zik would then be made the next Prime Minister. This was the same political romance that led Zik to ignore the advice of Awolowo to include a secession clause in the then Constitution. |

PresidObi: I expected this, the security personnel will swerve from chasing the initial named herdsmen and start arresting locals who may revealel the real suspects, then frame them with being accessories to the crime and immediately start brutalysing them till they extract a forced confession, or if the person dies, they will accuse the person of attacking police.
In the next episode, the story will change and you will hear stories like, police arrests those who killed people in nkalagu, and no herdsmen will be seen among those rounded up.
This is the script that has been acted in many communities. But he was arrested by the local security of that place. Why would they frame only him and how does he have names of people involved and the amount they were paid? Shame is already on you and more is coming. |

Some jokes aren't even worth it.... It's more logical than you may realize. It all revolves around affordability not necessarily quality. Healthcare abroad is now terribly expensive such that for many issues it is much cheaper to come down to Africa for treatment. For our leaders the reverse is the case as they have enough money to afford expensive care. Put it this way: Nigeria for the budget, abroad for the luxury. |

owobokiri: Where is the lie in what I said !? Most imports from Lagos ports end up in the east. Close to 70%. Yet the most favoured ports are in the west, while all administrative measures to subdue and denigrate the eastern ports are fashioned and implemented from Abuja, ofcourse with the tacit support from the over mischievous southwest. Explain to us how the region that accounts for the highest port related businesses in Nigeria, ended up with all their ports effectively grounded. And if you think I was bluffing, show me any federal government success stories as it regards the modernisation of seaports in the former Eastern Nigeria. Just one example of a thriving port will do... Do remember that when most of the ports were developed, port development was in the exclusive list, so..
I'm waiting .. And you will disappear.. What a barefaced lie. 70% of imports end in the southwest. This is proven! Particularly between the Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun axis. You just sit somewhere and concoct all sorts of ridiculous nonsense. If South Easterns wish to import closer to their region, they are welcome to use the Onne port, which is fully functional and has been for a while. In fact, many people already use that port. Shame on you. |

They should have held the pharmacy store responsible too, there are traces of racism in their actions.
Why detain someone because of mere wrong choice words? If those police don't apologise or even compensate her after realising that it was a mistake, then I don't see any difference between them and the Nigerian police I agree. Searching and questioning her on the spot was reasonable. Detaining her and turning her house upside down absolutely was excessive especially when they could see the lady had just bought medication indeed. |

EXOUSIAng: If you were a shareholder in the distribution company, you will think otherwise and understand better. I can bet you for free that more than 85% of people in your community dont pay a dime for power.
Its only in Nigeria that people want services they don't pay for.
Nigerians are not paying for power, the distribution companies are surviving on the subsidy.
I can also bet you that there are communities around you that still have up to 18hrs power.
I reside in Nicon town estate, I get 24hrs power except where there is general power outage. They are communities and other estates just around that don't get half of that.
In my VGC residence, power is not as regular as Nicon town but the distribution company have their people running around as soon as you have any power issue....
My point here is these are people who pay bills, Igbokushu is a community in the same neighborhood with Nicon Town but they don't gey up to 10hrs a day.
The distribution companies are not charity organizations. Electricity is expensive, they will focus on their paying customers...
I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT IF YOU HAVE A BUSINESS WHERE CUSTOMERS DONT PAY, YOU WILL STOP SUPPLY. This is totally off point. The writer never said they shouldn't disconnect the power for non paying customers! He said do not disconnect the entire community when there are paying customers therein! How do you take all the time to type all of that without taking a few minutes to read the OP?! |

Imagine how self absorbed one must be to argue that underdevelopment in another region is designed to marginalize your own in particular.
That is even as Onne Port has received so much investment of late. Very bad behaviour. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Rwanda Ready For Confrontation With South Africa - Kagame by SmartyPants(m): 3:29pm On Jan 30, 2025 |
Xisnin: Countries rules of engagement and motivations are quite different based on the type of conflict. Israeli troops harassed French peace keepers in Lebanon, that doesn't mean Israel can wage a direct war against a fully motivated France.
Nigeria army got routed by Boko haram very close to the 2014 election, many soldiers ended up fleeing the war. Until the SA mercenaries arrived to drive Shekau boys back and restore NA confidence in the fight. Does that mean Nigeria is no match for South Africa should the two engage in direct conflict?
The Tigrays, who were very professional with years of fighting experience compared to the ill-motivated and unprofessional Ethiopian army were very close to overrunning Ethiopia's capital in the recent civil war but they end up losing.
The point is you cannot use a country's record in unconventional war to judge its conventional capabilities. They require very different skill set. You are mixing up all sorts of issues. And you should take careful note of the various factors I highlighted. I said Rwanda has a more professional army, but I also pointed out that the theatre of war will be in Rwanda's backyard. If you analyze logically, you will see that all the issues you attempted to raise favor Rwanda. 1. Countries have different motivations and rules of engagement. Are you telling me the South Africans will have a greater motivation over a war in another region than Rwandans who share ethnic ties with M23? 2. False equivocation of South African mercenaries with SANDF. The South African mercenaries who came to help Nigeria are largely the remnants of former apartheid military unites from South Africa and Rhodesia. These are professional, battle-hardened solders who were considered among the best in the world. Were Nigeria to fight against an army of such soldiers, we would certainly lose. This is the complete opposite to the modern day SANDF which is a force lacks any sort of military history and tradition. 3. The Tigrayan failure. Logistics and capability to sustain operations matter. In military strategy, it is commonly said troops must never advance faster than supply. What does this mean? Food, fuel, arms and ammunition must be readily available at the front line otherwise, the troops will be rendered completely ineffective. That is exactly why the Tigrayans failed once they advanced too far. What does this further mean? It means that the force that is fighting closer to home and closer to its supply lines has a massive advantage. Who do you think that would favour in this hypothetical conflict? 4. Success in unconventional warfare is not an indicator of success in conventional warfare. When the comparison is between a battle-hardened army like Rwanda's and a comparatively amateur force like the SANDF, of course it is a major factor. In every field, there is a huge difference between theory and practicals, and most of the SANDF have never heard a short fired in a real conflict before. This means the Rwandans will go into such a conflict much better prepared mentally which can make all the difference. And by the way, you still haven't answer my question: What is this capability of the SANDF that you speak of? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Rwanda Ready For Confrontation With South Africa - Kagame by SmartyPants(m): 2:47pm On Jan 30, 2025 |
Xisnin: Army being professional. It is a question of capability too. The saving grace for Rwanda is that South Africa does not want to escalate. SA military is better in every metrics than Rwanda. What capability? I just pointed out that the South African Defence Forces got trounced by a group of ragtag terrorists that the Rwandans dove out within weeks. This is Mozambique that is next door to South Africa. So what capacity are you talking about? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Rwanda Ready For Confrontation With South Africa - Kagame by SmartyPants(m): 2:35pm On Jan 30, 2025 |
Mynd44: Those that know Kagame already know who and what he is.
But I hope he keeps running his fingers and mouth at South Africa sha.
He will soon understand that the Rwandan Defence Force is a little more equipped that the South African Police when SA decides to man up and act.
Kagame should also know Nigeria is watching and waiting for an AU pronouncement before his glass house gets broken Rwanda has a much more professional army than South Africa. The facts speak for themselves as this is the second conflict in which both forces have been involved in some way and both times the Rwandans have come out looking better. You may recall that South African troops sent to help restore peace and order in Mozambique were routed and the Rwandans were called upon to help which they did with impressive efficiency. The South African military may have better equipment and more men but in Congo they will be in Rwanda's backyard and much of their technological superiority will not be relevant. |
