Celebrities › Re: Olodo Uprising: Portable Tackles Ycee, Defends Peller In Viral Video by SmartyPants(m): 7:30am On Jun 28
Stephen0mozzy:
Portal is only adding credence to what Ycee has said 🤣

This reeks of complete ignorance. And guess who's the king of chasing clout from cheap jabs? Portable.

There's this saying:
The measure of a society is reflected in those who they make celebrities

You can see the strong correlation between our celebrities and our leaders. We celebrate as well as vote for complete rheiiith_ards.
You have not said anything. Explain why his comment reeks of ignorance instead of attacking his personality which is a logical fallacy.

As it stands, portable has made a more logical submission than you because as much of a miscreant as he is, he has broken down his argument logically: An educated man who makes money should do better with managing his money. Thus Ycee has done nothing to prove he is not the olodo in fact.

So where is the ignorance in Portable's argument? Where is the credence added to what Ycee said?

Lol, the guy comment off me too. You can imagine calling Ycee’s level low, strange thing we witness on Nairaland😂
Tell me one of Ycee's songs that really impressed you with the intelligence on display. It would be nice if you can also highlight some of the intelligent lyrics from the song.

Ycee ..low level?

Perhaps your level is low to comprehend him

Most rappers are intelligent
Most rappers intelligent indeed. By their lyrics we can tell the intelligent ones and they are less than 5: MI Abaga, by the far the most intelligent and others like him such as Modenine, Eldee, Vector, Jesse Jags, etc.

Ycee does not belong to that category and even watching him on that podcast yesterday with his pants sagging I said to myself he is only a little better than those he's criticising. Ycee appears to me the same way Peller appears to him.

So if that's your own standard of intelligence....lol!

WhiteIverson:
But Tinubu's educational history is non existent. Is he also an Olodo?
Feel free to have your opinions on anybody but this is exactly the kind of olodo behaviour he's talking about. Complete inability to engage with the subject matter, immediately looking to make jest out of a serious topic for likes and shares.

You are still young enough to pull yourself out of the olodo pit. Wish you the best in your efforts to do so!

You with 100 percent IQ, so vigilantes now dress like soldiers right..
Stop defending nonsense, ok...
Yes they do when they go on operations. How else would the soldiers recognize them?

There even instances when members of VAN are given police uniforms to stand on the road especially during civil unrest. You can't know what you don't know!

Nigerian police officers are very useless, is this how they want to go about this bandit issue..
The man recording the video said they are bandits in hausa, police is saying different thing..
Come to think of it, they said they are vigilantes, have you ever see vigilantes in such amount with good guns..
Vigilantes that are working with stick and expired guns...
If you like call it fake or whatever, we the citizens know they are bandits... Nonsense...
Who was the man recording the video and what is his position and authority to call them bandits?

Your knowledge of the world around you is so limited. Who told you VAN doesn't bear sophisticated arms?

Do you think vigilantes in your village will operate the same way as those facing bandits?

Get an IQ check asap!

And we all know why..

Dave Umahi said it best when he said come to Ebonyi where we do fly overs for 4 billion, not to be doing flyover for 12 billion.
As I said he has his faults but you can't say he didn't also work.

You should know that no governor needs to build anything in order to steal. They can literally take as much as they want without building anything. So if you build and steal, we'll call you a thief but we won't lie that you did nothing.

All these people know is politics, power, and rulership.

They care less about actual governance or making the lives of citizens better. They just want to live a chilled life and settle their families forever.

It's absolutely sickening.

And as I said,
This man's downfall shall be loud.
And we shall all be here to witness it.
Amen.
You may say this about 90% of Nigerian politicians but not Wike. He may have his obvious flaws and he deserves criticism for those, but he has always performed in his given role.

The range for GH and SA showed the top end as a 50% increase over the bottom end. Let's assume the same holds for Naira, that's N156k as the top end which is still less than the bottom end. Still shambolic and despicable.
There's no basis for such an assumption. You are working backwards to find the answer when you should first be questioning the the data put before you.

Where did they get these figures? Clearly not from an authoritative source otherwise the data would be precise.

The writer clearly is relying on vague estimates, most likely AI generated, and clearly has no idea what they're talking about.

None of this is to justify the low pay of our Armed Forces in anyway.

Politics › Re: Monthly Salary Of Nigerian Junior Rank Soldiers Compared To Ghana & SA by SmartyPants(m): 4:12pm On Jun 18
airsaylongcome:
So an unmarried soldier earns the same as a married one? Aren't there family based allowances?
There are all kinds of allowances but the point is the difference in reporting methodology.

So if the salaries of Ghanaian and South Africa solders are reported using a range that takes into account various allowances, this should have been done with the Nigerian salary too but it wasn't. It was reported as a single data point whereas others were reported as a range.
Politics › Re: Monthly Salary Of Nigerian Junior Rank Soldiers Compared To Ghana & SA by SmartyPants(m): 9:39am On Jun 18
🇬🇭 Ghana — GHS 1,000–1,500 (₦157,000 – ₦235,000)
🇿🇦 South Africa — R8,000–R12,000 (₦704,000 – ₦1.06 Million)
This does not make sense. All soldiers of the same rank in the army earn the same salary so there is no range. If you don't know the salary ask, and if you can't get the answer, rest.

Just imagine the nightmare one will face when travelling by road...you might encounter policemen from 6 or 7 different states then also have to deal with federal policemen.

If there is an accidental discharge by a policeman and it results in death, finding the culprit will be virtually impossible because all the states will deny culpability!
How is that possible - there is obviously territorial jurisdiction. There's no reason for policemen from Lagos to be found on the roads in Ogun. And I don't see how any state would allow such.
Politics › Re: State Police Won’t Fix Insecurity, Ezekwesili Urges Full Restructuring by SmartyPants(m): 11:12am On Jun 16
This lady is an attention seeker. Is it now that the push for state policing is gathering momentum that one should be talking about restructuring? Is it not wiser to take it one step at a time?

Ok oh

Kanu was only trolling Nigeria from his UK studio

His labelling of the Nigeria you hope to govern being a zoo that must be destroyed is just free speech.

His orders to his minions to target and kill security personnel in the SE is just empty talk.

Empty talk that saw the army couple waylaid by Kanu's goons, beaten, tortured, raped and beheaded with the woman's privates mutilated was just empty talk.

His orders for his goons to kill any Fulani they see in the forests of the SE is also empty talk.

I believe this Obi is going senile or he has been a mad man that he is all these while.
It merely proves what we already know - the man is sympathetic to separatist/ethnic jingoist ideologies, which is his right to be fair. In fact, I can't even say I have a problem with any Nigerian being a tribalist. It's the nature of the country. But what I will never stand for is someone telling me other Nigerians are tribalists, but Obidients are not. They're the deepest most incorrigible tribalists who don't even view non-South-Eastern Obidients as being of equal standing.

How does being part of Tinubu's cabal prove he got security votes? Fashola was governor under the PDP so it's very easy to believe they didn't give him especially since Obasanjo always hated Tinubu.

I know why. It's because Peter Obi is not a tyrant, and his supporters have every right to demand representation where they make up over 90% of membership or more

They have made some concessions already, you can’t just try to lord over them and push them into submission. They are bigger than you, don’t forget that.

Learn from LP and lead right
I believe that's what they're doing. cheesy look at how Obi and his crew messed LP up and strolled out to continue elsewhere. NDC are smart enough to see that playbook coming.

That is why all Nigerians must make sure Obidients and the deceptive Obi must not get near to power.

Those who can assault an elderly man because he is not for their candidate at a time when they don't yet have power will do so much worse if they have even the littlest bit of power.

And I noted carefully that Obi never condemned this assault. He clearly approved or even directed it.

Tinubu must go, yes. But Obi and his Obidients must not come either.

Even Fulani from sahel region troop in Nigeria from Niger Republic as they want kidnap people and the government beg and settle them.

Boko haram and ISWAP really exposed Nigeria military/security.

I am running from your question because it is irrelevant and I debate relevant issues only. My assertion to you was and is that there is a statistically significant population of converts that disproves your rule. Since you agree that there is a statistically significant population of converts, that ends the matter.

Something about this story doesn't add up. The initial report claimed there was a shootout and two suspects were neutralised. As we can clearly see, there was no shootout, and the suspect we can see in the video was taken away in one piece. undecided
