Hello everyone, happy new year in advance. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes to get pre-departure covid test result? Test was taken in Abeokuta this morning at 10am and my mother-in-law is due to fly 9:30am on 1/1/22. She’s double vaccinated but I’m worried she might not be allowed to fly without the pcr test result. Any idea what to do in this case please? |
Finally, 5yrs visit visa granted to my mother-in-law. Biometric was done on 11th of October. Vignette stated visa was issued 21/12/2021. Good luck to everyone waiting. Despite getting an email from UKVI over a month ago stating passport has been returned to VAC, Ikeja. I’ve come to the conclusion that TLS Contact is the lazy link. |
cutebear:Mother in-law received collection email yesterday after waiting since second week in October. Arrived at Ikeja VAC this morning and the centre is closed. How can TLS centre Ikeja claim today to be a public holiday? Not sure when next they’ll open |
ophemmy:Buy something come for us oo. I go come collect am if na London you dey come |
Oneweek1010:Cancel your reservation. You’re not required to book your flight or make reservations until you have a visa. Issuance of visa take 40 working days now and might even take longer due to omicron. Applications might be suspended indefinitely if the Uk goes into lockdown again |
piscesnow:I think you’re fine. You’ll get your visa as long as you haven’t violated any term of your past visas |
Well, I don't think they accept online payment. Find the account number on the requirement list and pay to the bank. There's a fee for 3rd party submission and its lesser to submit on ur own. Your mum made a mistake by buying a ticket. The Brazilian embassy won't necessarily ask to see a ticket n if they do, it only requires booking without pay. Overall, getting d visa years ago was as simple as ABC. Even though I got multiple entry for a year, I went once n that was it. The fact that they rarely speak English just weak me but it was fun out there |
Many thanks oo....I'm living the London life now oo. Since Feb. 22, 2017 that I went for biometrics, got refused Oct 26, 2017, appealed in Nov. ...and after the struggles, I finally resubmitted my passport on May 24, 2018 and got my passport back June 12, 2018...booked my flight (Virgin Atlantic) for June 13 and it was easy stamp in at the UK boarders. Full timeline soon guys. Many thanks to @justwise. Thanks a lot bro. @Lexusgs430, thanks a lot too bro. God bless everyone for contributing one way or the other. |
Everybody stylishly coming to get naija jersey |
@Lexusgs430 @justwise I resubmitted my passport for visa on Thursday, May 24 as instructed by UKVI after winning the appeal and as usual, the TLS update mail came through so as to track my stuff but up till this moment, all the parameters are still red ooo. No indication passport has been received which normally shouldn't take more than 1 or 2days. Is this the normal thing or should I be worried? Help a brother oo....after waiting to win appeal over a year... Epp me oo my ppl |
...but God brought her back to face her problems ![]() |
Many thanks to everybody that's contributed to this thread one way or the other. I've been a silent observer but I must confess, its been a tough journey but in the end, God is good. I applied for my spouse visa (standard) Feb, 22 2017. Got refused October 26, 2017 with a right to appeal. I appealed November 2017 and finally got the mail to resubmit my passport May 24 2018 after winning the appeal without going to the tribunal. I have since submitted my passport last Thursday and here I am waiting again... Dunno how long I'd have to wait again but I'm in good spirit. |
Way to go Hush |
This one weak me no be small. Kwarans will never ever learn. |
Having ur data mixed up is the bearer's cause since it is often required u read through ur data before its sent. How then is it the fault of ur agent? Its possible to change sha when u meet the right person |
If only u know how dangerous this Kunle Poly is...I'm in no position to judge him but he hasn't lived a good life too. He's killed countless ppl too and worse off, police are VERY scared of him. Evablizin: |
Do not make the mistake of "doing things for ur dad's sake". Everybody have their life to live. He's ur dad, fine. He's taught u about way of life with ur mum, no doubt but now that u've come off age, NOBODY, I repeat, NOBODY has the right to tell you how you want to live your life. The ONLY advice I can give is live it good. Flourishh: |
What sort of airport isn't secured enough to keep cows off its runway If cows can access the runway then stowaways can gain easy access too - even thieves. FAAN/Akure govt, should own up to this blame for not putting proper security measures to safeguarding the lives and properties of the airline companies n their customers. |

Remember the last time the FIFA world cup came to Nigeria and I was able to take a picture with it at d National Theatre in Lagos. It was a long queue but I was able to get my turn. The official photographer takes ur photo and u proceed to receive ur printed copy before leaving the hall and u can also view online as we were given a code to access it online. Very sweet memories |
I work on the island and I purposely drive thru igbosere just to catch a glimpse of his givings. Encountered him one day when I wanted to refuel at the MRS and he greeted me bowing and saying; "eku irole sir". Was in shock like me small boy...I'm disappointed in him mehn LyfeJennings: |
Olorunwa is a mess. Back in the day when he would sit at MRS station every Friday night sharing money to the kids around campus and igbosere as NURTW chairman. I use to say he's a cool dude not knowing he's full of thrash. Kunle Poly whose P.A got killed ain't no saint either. We heard stories of how he's killed in the past too and how Mados, Hamburger n d rest were killers too. ONLY God knows the righteous and He will expose every bad eggs in d NURTW. |
Cape Town may become the first large city in the world to run out of water, as officials warn there are fewer than 90 days left before the supply runs dry. The city’s mayor Patricia De Lille said residents had until 22 April until “day zero”, when authorities have estimated the water supply will be finished if residents do not scale back their usage. As a result, officials have introduced strict measures to limit the consumption of available water, including capping usage at 87 litres per person per day. The crisis is the result of three years of low rainfall and drought, coupled with a growing population and an increase in water consumption. Storage levels in dams serving the coastal South African city dropped to below 30 per cent, but once the dams reach 13.5 per cent capacity the municipal water supply will be turned off for all but essential services, such as supplies to hospitals. If the taps are turned off, residents will be required to travel to one of the 200 municipal water points across the city to collect a maximum ration of 25 litres per day. “Today, except for Lionel Messi teams don’t fear Argentina again. Look at the last game against Nigeria, they nearly scored eight goals against us. In my time you know what happened when we played them." Maradona forgot Nigeria is the reason he didn't win an Olympic gold medal in 96? In ur time, Nigeria still disgraced Argentina |

As we all know Black Panther movie of Marvel comics is the most anticipated movie of the year and its been generating exciting buzzes round the world being the first full action black hero movie of our time. Black Panther movie has the highest pre-release sales on tickets for a movie till date and of course the part that got Nigerians talking (Funke Akindele as a member of Dora Milaje). Anyways, the rumor made wave but its not to be. Heads up guys because Nigeria still features in the movie and Hausa language was on display too. Nakia, played by Lupita Nyong'o is a member of the Dora Milaje whose part kicked off fighting for enslaved women in Nigeria and had the chance to communicate in Hausa with them. Movie is set to premiere in Nigeria February 15 and we expect to enjoy the beginning of the world's RICHEST superhero figure Black Panther/T'challa because he heads a country that owns the biggest reserve of Vibranium.

In as much as I don't support Buhari, of everyone to criticize Buhari, IBB shouldn't even dare speak cox the crazy man brought this shame on Nigeria. He took time to cripple this country before Abacha continued from where he left. Ibb Maradonna is not worthy of speaking on national issues. He should just keep quiet n watch from d sidelines UNLESS he wants to start pointing fingers to his culprits from where it all started. |
Gburu-Gburu...Enugu governor wey no sabi. That road to Nnsuka is a death trap. I was at his hometown, Orba and the road network from Enugu to Orba is nothing to write home about. Despite flying to Enugu, took me another 2hrs to get to his village for the program I attended. I just wonder if he knows what he's doing as a governor. |
austin2all:So because of that, Lagos state should spend its money on other states? Is Lagos Nigeria or is Lagos govt Federal govt? What happened to the other foolish state govts passing time instead of building to make economic gains ![]() |
As much as even distribution of resources are viable to nation building, I don't think Lagos state is to be blamed for wanting to grow. Are we saying other state governors are dumb and don't know how to pull this economic stunts in their states? Don't wait on FG all d time. Pressure the FG to supporting what's good for your people.
