Yes I did. It was just a group for residents in Ontario though. Nothing professional but at least you know there is a community and you can ask questions. You can PM me and I will be able to ask the admin to add you on the group

Hi, please could you get a group? A friend in same field is interested

Hi Guys, I currently reside in BC and I hope to move to Ontario by Summer or fall of next year (2021). My wife and I intend moving to Ontario to enable us afford to be able to buy a house as the cost of living in BC where we are is ridiculous and getting into the housing market might be crazy here. I am hoping I can join a group for pple who live in Ontario who are professionals for networking hopefully to get a job, discuss housing and getting a place in Ontario (Obviously outside GTA) and maybe commute to GTA or not if needed and based on where we are able to get a job and still get best value for our money. If there are groups like this with pple with goals and visions like this I hope to be added to it.

Hi All, just thought I'd update the thread. I complained about my sister's Express entry profile being ineligibile after she got a nomination and i never knew the reason and i was confused for her. I am happy to report that we figured it out. The reason is because she had less than 6 months expiry on her passport and her new passport was never uploaded on her profile when she got a new one. Also she created a new profile as ineligible profiles cannot be retrieved and her nomination has been transferred over
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by snoop4dem: 5:07pm On May 22, 2020
Well we are following up with CIC to find out why the account is ineligible but no concrete response yet. On anothjer note we have contacted the province and they have confirmed that if peradventure a new account is created her points from previous profile will be transferred to the new one
bukkyjt:
hi. I wanted to find out if the issue has been resloved. I am actually in the same shoe right now as your sister and need to know what steps to take myself.
Thank you.

quote author=snoop4dem post=89434960]Hi Everyone,

My sister created her EE profile in December and got all the welcome emails that she was eligible for EE. In Feb she got an interest letter from OINP and then she submitted all the docs required. Last month she was asked to ask WES to send her evaluation to OINP which she also did. Last week she got two conflicting emails one was the territorial nomination letter which she is supposed to accept and the other was that she was not eligible for EE. The button for her to also accept the OINP has been greyed out on her account. Has anyone experienced this kind of issue before cos normally I know if you are not eligible it is at the point of account creation that you know and not after getting nomination by a Province and you need to accept to get 600 points that you get that message. Anyone who has or knows someone in that situation can please advise?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by snoop4dem: 4:44pm On May 11, 2020
This was also my first thought when i saw that. But I remembered clearly that I updated her profile for her at the time when the proof of funds were updated. In fact to be exact the proof of funds for a family of four for her right now is 24,083 and I put 25,000 which is more than what her family needs. just brain storming for ideas on what we can do. ultimately I sent a webmail to CIC last week on her behalf. If she is told to create a new one by CIC, we will obviously do that, I am just checking for feelers if anyone has had the same or sthg similar on here.
AyabaS:
This is very likely due to insufficient funds. Is she aware that CIC increased the minimum funds this year and did she update the section for funds to exceed the new minimum value? She can check the profile to confirm the exact issue that made it ineligible.

In any case, an ineligble profile can't be salvaged so she needs to create a new profile and send an email to Ontario explaining the issue with the current profile, include details of her new profile and ask them to transfer the nomination to the new profile.

I live in Burnaby! Living in Burnaby or anywhere in the lower mainland or metro Vancouver (Which also includes Burnaby ) is generally expensive compared to what you will get in another similar province. I dont know with respect to other provinces in Canada as per jobs but the average person has sthg that they get their hands on and are doing.
bankylan:
Please who lives in Burnaby or Vancouver BC here?

I need information on jobs, safety, and living expense and rent in Burnaby especially.

Thanks ! I am just casting my bread upon the waters to see if there is anyone out there. It's been a while I did academic studying but I know that we have to keep pushing cos it's always never too late to start any endeavour
Markab:
Mehn...I was assigned 3-4 courses by PEO since I got my EIT in April. I don't think I want to do it honestly as it's been 8 years since I dropped the pen. cheesy. Maybe if I get a study pal in Civil Engr'g, I might reconsider. If I see any of my friends taking your course, I will give you a shout. Good luck to us all grin grin

Hi Everyone, I was assigned any group A Computer Exam by the Professional Engineering body evaluating my degree in Canada for professional designation. My goal is to take the Electronics Exam which is the 17-Comp-A1 organised by PEO. I had the opportunity of taking any A exam but I was hoping to go for this with the notion that I might have someone taking similar exam. Is there anyone in the house who is preparing for their Assigned technical Exam by the Professional Engineering designation that might want to link up or if there is anyone taking this specific exam who might want to be a study partner or link up on this group to enable us share materials, knowledge and move forward together. PEO organizes the Exams on behalf of all provinces and the next batch of exams is in April. Help from Seniors or people also who have gone this route will be appreciated.
PS: It's been over 10 years since I have done Electronics as a course in school so I am very rusty and i am looking for all the help I can get.

Hey Bro, I haven't been here since I posted that testimony cos I have been preparing for a Professional Exam alongside working. Thanks man for your help with this. I really wanted her to scale that IELTS hurdle and I am sure that you were super instrumental in shaping her writing and the way she sees the test generally. PS: On the upside, I do not have anything against your E-mail address or your beliefs and I am sure you might have heard this so many times before but when I first saw the E-mail address, it did not bestow confidence in your ability. It first sounded like a joke to me cos I was thinking from the perspective that what kind of professional uses this kinda email address but the testimonies from other people about you made me look beyond that in a heartbeat. Thanks once again and goodluck to you @johnnybravo1990
johnnybravo1990:
I’m so glad to be instrumental to your sister’s success. As for the bolded statement, I’m glad that didn’t deter you from approaching me. winkAnyways, congrats. Wish you guys the best. And thanks for sharing your story.

IELTS Testimony :
I am in Canada but I am testifying on behalf of my Sister who is in Nigeria and the fact that I have to confess that @ johnnybravo1990 has been fantastic with his sessions and knows his onions.
My sister’s first test was LRWS 8.0/6.5/7.0/6.0
I was unhappy about this and so was she. When I saw her result, I knew she needed coaching and I could not offer it due to time zone differences and also she won’t take me very seriously and comply cos I am family and then it won’t be costing her anything. I am a member of this thread and I researched Johnny Bravo with those who have testified about him and recommended him to her. To be honest, when I first contacted JohnnyBravo I did not like his E-mail address but I wasn’t interested in that cos I needed a service and so that was not important to me. I recommended him to my sister and she also googled him on Nairaland and looked him up and then she was impressed with the testimony of others.
She took Johnny Bravo’s classes for two weeks diligently and I followed up with her to ensure that she was diligent about it and wrote all her essays. He opened her eyes to see what is expected of her and what details she needed to include. He is a gem and very good at what he does. I told her to practice more speaking with Liz and she must not relent on the reading and listening also. She re-took the test on the 26th of October and I am happy to announce to you all that this is her new result
L/R/W/S : 8.0/7.0/7.5/7.5 with an overall of 7.5 . What that means is that her writing jumped from 6.0 to 7.5 with the right coaching by Johnny Bravo and putting in the effort to take thing seriously.

To everyone still in this journey, don’t give up kep trying and make sure that you get up every time you are beat cos sincerely Canada is definitely worth it and Canada will be lucky to have my sister.

Hi,

I have quick follow up questions with respect to that lawyer trying to find out about openings. My wife is a lawyer and will be joining me in Canada. While waiting to pass her bar exams she obviously will want to be doing sthg profitable and professional that can help. Can you suggest jobs or titles she should be searching for that might help her during this period of trying to take the bar exam. Current lawyers from Nigeria working in another field, or lawyers waiting also doing some other jobs with transferable knowledge can also chip in and offer some suggestions which will be well appreciated

Hey Guys,

My application has been approved and here is my timeline; My story doesn't do justice to it cos after waiting for a while, I got tired and de-motivated:

TIMELINE:

CELPIP: 05th July 2018 LRWS 10/12/8/9
IELTS: 30 Jun 2018 LRWS-8.0/6.5/7.5/7.5
ITA: July 25 2018 (CRS 442)
AOR: Aug 31 2018

Visa Office: CIO Sydney
MEDICAL PASSED/BIL: SEPT 2018

GHOST UPDATE: SEPT 2018 and NOV 2018 (It was approved in Nov at this time with all checks as passed. Later got to know from my GCMS notes)
Got Married: Dec 15th 2018 and informed CIC but they never said nothing
Jan 14th: PPR from Ottawa

Sent Email that I do not intend sending my passport but I would rather my spouse be included in my application. My wife has been denied temporary visas to Canad four times in the past so I wasn’t going to take any chance with this
No response and silence for over two weeks. Spouse finally added 04th February; file moved to Montreal and PPR Cancelled.
Called repeatedly in-between and ordered two different GCMS notes along the line
Got the first ADR in April to fill a relationship questionnaire; submit my spouse’s birth certificate and some other documents which I did.
Informed my MP about helping but he did not prove to be very helpful. He was just like there is nothing to worry about and he can only get involved if there is a call for concern.
Got another address in July that my wife should go do her bio-metrics which she did.
I got a landing interview on Aug 09th
