i have the cut-off for all the departments last year, both general cut off marks and catchment area cut-off marks but am still in school now and i'll paste it all for you guys this weekend when i get home, but i must also point out that cut off marks are determined by the general performance of the candidates in each department in relation to the carrying capacity of that department but to a large extent a candidate can actually measure his/her chances with the cut off marks for the last admission process

olatbaba. One does need further maths to study comp. Science at unilag. Though am studying architecture, a guy in my dept. actually applied for comp. Science but didnt have f/maths and since he had tech. Drawing, he was transferred to archi. Even in the unilag diplomas advertisement in last weeks punch newspaper, it was stated clearly that f/maths is required for comp. Science students.

forms are already on sale for the 2010/2011 unilag diploma @ 16k. If successful in the entrance test (which is a piece of cake anyway and shouldnt pose much difficulties) candidates are to pay the school fees. Am not so sure how much it is this year and dont wanna speculate but it was 320k last year. I wont be surprised if its 350k this year cuz there has always been an upward review of the fee yearly due to the ever increasing applicants. You must also know that the fee can be paid in instalments with an initial payment of over half the stipulated fee. Now contrary to what someone said earlier, you dont sit for any utme or post utme exam. Yo' diploma certificate with a cgpa of 2.5 and above automatically qualifys you for direct entry admission into 200 level in the university of lagos, university of bedfordshire and university of lancshire in london. Note: uni of lancshire offers scholarships to exceptional students in the programme. All the candidate has to do is when the programme is running, he/she should purchase the utme direct entry form and fill appropriately
Stating the qualification as unilag diploma and pray he/she meets the required cgpa at the end to be admitted. Hope you find my info useful

babe how far na? Cut off for last year Estate was 54% but ogun states cut off was 51%. Did u apply to unilag?

@ beryl not to worry. The olevel you filled is of no importance. As long as you scored 200 and above in ur utme, you are good to go

layonz am urgently in need of a laptop before i go back to school next week or upper week and what i need is a minimum of a 4gb ram as thats what will be enough as am an architecture student and if u are familiar with archi softwares, the require as much ram as u can get and the cheapest that meet my specs would be the dv6 1215sa. Pls can i get it for 110k? Am really serious about this. P.s i would also like a picture of the laptop

@ cherish am sure that should satisfy the requirements but thats not the only document required to get the admission infact it doesnt really affect yo' admission in the sense that as long as you have 5 credits at one sitting and you are eventually given the admission, even if you dont have a subject that is required for yo' course, yo' admission still stands, they'll only put you in another dept where yo' o/level subjects meet its requirement

@ stamford yes am a student of unilag thought not in pharmacy but in architecture. This is how the admission process at unilag works. Yo' jamb which is over 400 is 50% of yo' total aggregate and to get that, you have to divide yo' score by 8 (400/8=50) and yo' post ume which is over 100 is the remaining 50% of total aggregate
And is divided by 2 to get yo' agg. So since you scored 270, yo' current agg. Is 33.8. So u now wait for yo' post ume and whatever u get divide by 2 and add to that to get yo' agg. Cut off marks are determined by general performance in relation to carrying capacity. So no cut off marks for now dont let anyone decieve u. Am thinking of starting a thread for prospective unilag students to give useful tips and advice for the post ume and the admission process generally cuz i too benefited from what others did when i was looking for admission.

am not really sure how much the form is exactly but its btw 25-30k and the fee proper 320k! But payment in installments is allowed provided an initial payment of up to half the total amount. The form should be out in couple of weeks. Good luck

as long as you scored 200 and above, you are qualified to write the post ume exam that'll come up at a later date. Yo' jamb score will be divided 8 and yo' p.ume score divided by 2 and then both added to get yo' final score which is in percentage. Dont let anyone decieve you with false figures. P.s cutoff for last year pharmacy was 62percent!

i know exactly yo' problem and its a very common type especially on windows xp o.s. Its a virus problem on yo' system and it affected the explorer file in yo' system files and it doesnt boot along. To get yo' icons back in the meantime just use yo' alt-ctrl-del buttons then go to run and type in ''explorer.exe'' then yo' icons and task bar will be restored then scan yo' system and have the viruses removed. P.s if after cleanin the viruses its still the same, get sum1 that uses the same o.s then go his system files and copy his own explorer.exe file then delete yo' own and replace. That should solve the problem permanently

am very serious! but not in all departments though. in my dept (architecture), a VCs list was released with just one name on it! all registration for 2009/2010 closes this friday 22nd january and matriculation is on the 5th febuary. a notice was recently released on the school site stating reg deadlines for those on VCs list and other lists yet to complete their reg!

yes it was released quietly 2 days ago. it wasnt made public so you may need to check your dept. office for clarification

its not late, its still very much on, i heard you have to wait for the hostel list to come out first (i heard theres a list that has to come out) then you puchase a scratch card blah blah and then pay but it all depends on having your name on the hostel list first

thanks man and yeah i visited the campus today to formally lodge a complaint and was told that it takes about two weeks before my payment becomes valid online that it should be up this week, but 2 weeks is too much of a time just to upload ordinary payment!!
