Hasty generalization. Africans do holiday in fellow African countries. Besides anybody with the means should be allowed to move to any country in the world they so like. Its the patronizing attitude from the western world yet again. They want we all to stay in our continent while they can travel unhindered themselves to what ever place of their choice. |

coolier: I really think you should lock her up, especially on your wedding day! That is every mother's day of joy isn't it? And what better place to spend it than the police cell! Now that 'am seriously thinking about it, the Police alone cannot do the work. Go all the way, include the whole Armed forces, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps to block all access, just to make assurances doubly sure!. That way you would prove your power and prowess to all and sundry. And when your in-laws and other guests ask for your dear mother, you can always brag to them and say I locked her up in a police cell somewhere because she did not approve of my marriage! Who the hell are you? ROFLMAO Make the guy kuku call taliban for him mama sef. |

gracious: Have you ever noticed that your relatives such as your cousins, aunties and uncles get jealous when they find out you are prosperous or really doing good. well i don't know about you. but please give your opinion.
For example: my sister happened to travel to america and all of a sudden, my aunty is always telling her children to quickly graduate from university so that they can travel. don't you see that as jealousy? also my cousin is always like hmmm, your sister is enjoying in america, i will come and meet her there. As for me i feel those comments are not good. they are only envious about her. what do you guys think? Examples cited may only be innocent envy rather than malicious jealousy as you feel. |

babapupa: The court bared the House from investigating Fashola because of conflict of interest since the House was part of the complaints, now they lifted their complaints off the House basically to remove the conflict of interest just to allow the House to go ahead with the probe without the conflict of interest allegations and in effect bypassing the court ruling.
Talk about the accuser, the judge, the advocate and exonerator.
These are nothing but lying clowns peddling rubbish and carrying other faceless people's water.
I really want them to investigate Fashola and I think this is good for Fashola himself and Lagosians in general.
The only downside is the fact that it displays how easy it is to slow down the wheels of government since any d!ic!k and harry is allowed throw any allegation at the Governor/Government (True or false, merits or no merits) and set in motion state and federal investigations.
And shouldn't the house first demand for documented evidence of misdeeds by the Governor and present it to Lagosians before even going public with their intent to investigate? or is it just that all you need to waste state's funds and manpower on investigation is plain insinuation? Are these people for real?
I'm not even reading anything about embezzlement, huge sums in private bank accounts locally or internationally. This is nothing but your generic allegations of overspending and misappropriation.
We are not blind, we see what Fashola is doing with state funds.
Lagos state has a budget of 426 billion naira to take care of 18 million people and huge infrastructure demands. Rivers state's Budget @ 434 billion naira to take care of just 5 million people and less infrastructure demands is bigger than Lagos state's budget. So, we can't honestly say Rivers state with just 5 million people is excelling than Lagos state with 18 million people terms of demands and development.
I say go ahead and investigate Fashola. Make him a bigger hero. Why did you copy and paste a post from another thread? |

The only performing Governor out of 36 is being cruxified.
No rest for good people. Similar to what happened to Prof. Ambrose Ali, then governor or old Bendel state in the 80s. Despite all his genuin efforts at uplifting the state he was hounded by his rivals, who accused him of being corrupt. Bottom line is that the fact that a governor is performing and delivering dividends of democracy to the people means he has to step on many toes who normally thrive in anarchy and corruption. If they are therefore deprived of the ill earned livelihood, they would go after the poor governor like cancer.
If this guy was really corrupt and looted the state treasury as Ibori, Odili and Igbinedion did, and leas he would have used a fraction of the money to buy his way out, bribing the media, judges, EFCC, PDP, etc.
How sad. How very very sad. |

Imeobong: Source: http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/1464-obasanjo-keeps-mum-on-jonathan.html
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday, shunned reporters’ questions on his advice for the acting president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
The former president, who led governors from the South West to the 62nd birthday celebration of the former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, in Ibadan, also refused to comment on the celebrant and on what the acting president should do.
He only responded to the question asking him to say something about Agagu, saying in Yoruba “O kan mi ku.” and walked to his car.
“Agagu is one of the men created by God to serve His purpose on earth and he is doing just that. I pray to God to make me witness his 70th, 75th and 80th birthday. After that He may finish with me, the former President said.
The former governor who recalled his experience in the last one year, said he had learnt lessons about the capabilities and capacity of human beings, which he said surpassed what he learnt in his earlier 61years on earth.
“I have learnt more about how wicked and shameless, man even in high places, can be. I have learnt more about how people’s morals and trust can sink in the quest for power.
“I have been haunted, harassed and blackmailed all year, but to the glory of God I have grown even taller through God’s grace and the incredible love and support I received from a number of my friends,” he declared. That shows where the governors loyalty lies and that their agenda will be to please their master OBJ. The peoples of the state clearly are done for. |
