Gbam!, Aisha i appreciate intelligent people like you, some people lacks common sense, definetely the governor most have ordered one of the superior officers in his conveoy to make the arrest.

See how some people are concerned about the Governor's action rather than the crime that was committed by the police, Nigerians we are used to evil practice.

Could you imagin that i entered a public bus and the driver got to a check point and the police demanded egunje, the driver refused that he has all his vehilcle documents and driving license are complete, instead of the passengers to support the driver, they stsarted blaming the driver that he should settle the police that is not a new thing in this country, the driver had no choice than to give the polilce N50, in order to free him self from the castigation of the passengers. I felt bad that this country has a long way to go.

I feel sorry for my kids, because they would be born to a country that is highly corrupt and  regardless to other parts of the world.

The governor, by default, is the chief law enforcement officer in the state even though the actual practice of enforcing the law is the responsibility of the state's attorney general. That conferment is similar to the constitutional conferment of commander-in-chief on the president even though the president does not serve in the military. So, yes, the governor was within his right to make the arrest.
