When they ask if he still had the money in his account he said he forwarded to my mum who is his sister because of the rate Naira was depreciating. They then askEd for my mum num he gave them via the Whatapp and the guy saw my mum pictures and decided to scroll through their chat which to me isninvading of privacy and I told him he should have search his call log or contact lists. I guess he wasn't thinking at that point. Everything looked like movie because I specifically prepared them. Don't answer what you are not asked and don't give documents not requested. It was in the chat he saw loan interest and there is where the problem started.

Who knows how long it takes Teesside Uni to give out an offer? I’ve been waiting since September 20. Jeez
It takes a while. Maybe a month, depending on the period you applied.

Is it safe to have 11m as POF after paying fee deposit?

Fee balance is 9,000
Living expenses is 9,209

POF = 11m
Am I on the safe side?

Anyone please help out.
Bro it's normal math, not magic, lol. You need to pay tuition balance of 9,000 and you need to show 9,209 for maintenance cost, that is total of £18,209.

£18,209 at the rate of 600 per £ is 10,925,400. The rate on Oanda is around 560 per pounds sterling for now, so you should be safe with 11m.

Please, this question is really bothering me and I would appreciate any reply from anyone.

Please what is the total amount of money I need to have in my account for proof of funds, in a situation where school fees is £7,850 and living expenses per month is £1,023 or £9,207 for 9 months.

Please is it 7850+9207?
Yes, if £7,850 is your outstanding fees for that year of study, you must have 7,850 + 9,207 = £17,057 total as POF.

Then when calculating in naira, if the Oanda rate is 600, make sure you add a bit of allowance because of the unstable exchange rate. You can calculate at the rate of 650 and be hopeful the rates won't suddenly jump higher than that.

Please when can calculating your POF just use 600 to be on the safe side. This person is denied because of less than 300 pounds. Painful
Sad. It's painful but we learn at every step of the way, I'm sure he/she would get it at the next try.

Our corrency is so unstable and volatile, for this reason I have been using aboki fx rate for my own calculations, around 740. I don't want to hear stories.

Yes. They will grant visa provided the validity is more than 6 months at the time of application. Your visa validity can longer than the passport validity. You will only need to carry both of them incase you have acquired another one
Thank you for your response

No you don't need POF for the entire study duration. All you need is one year tuition and 9 months maintenance fund.
For the passport please do t go to Ikoyi. I did my capture on 16 June, up till now I ha e not gotten my passport, while someone that capture on 25th of June collected on 4th of August. Stay away from that Ikoyi. They have made me miss September intake. If your passport however, have more than 6 months before expiration when you apply for visa, I will advise you do the renewal in UK
Thank you very much for this. I didn't know I could get a 2 years study visa on a passport that has just 7 months validity left. That's what you mean right?...I can still get a visa even if the passport won't be valid for the duration of the study period.

Hello guys, thank you for the great work here. I have gone through the threads, and it has shed light on a lot concerning the topic.

I applied for Jan 2022 intake and I just got my admission offer two days ago. I have some questions,

1. I applied to a 2 year masters course, will I still need to cover maintenance cost of 9 months or longer in my proof of funds?

2. My passport is expiring in 2022, I know I have to renew it, but is there a way I can do that and get a new one within maybe a month??

Blatant lie? How long have you been voting sir? Why are we still here? Look beyond what your eyes can see then you'll know pvc solves nothing, it only helps you pick one of many wrong answers and not the solution. I'm not responding to this topic again
Please ask him.....what good is PVC and voting when they'll always force us to choose between the devil in office and the devil we already know?

In the end, they all torment us and further make the rich and political elites richer.

My brother you shall live long .. You said the truth.. It is very unfortunate that a lot of these drivers don't present themselves very well... have been in the country for weeks now , and I can say that you are very correct... some of them complain that they have degrees, Msc etc nobody cares go out there and work.. Dress to impressed and carry yourself professionally and be humble.
But some of these uber drivers don't even wash their cars.. They forget that uber business is also a customer service type business... yes I can also agree that riders can be rude ,but as a professional you can put them in check without been aggressive with them or rude ...it comes with the job ,some days you meet great riders and some u get crazy ones ..as long as you get more nice riders than the bad you fine.. But if you keep getting the crazy ones all the time ..it means you yourself have a problem..
And the ones that have so called degree feel so entitled .so because you have all the degrees ,make job fall on your lap ? The mind set of the youth needs to change... I shake my heads at times, nothing really has changed with the youth in these country...
Now you guys are starting to sound like you are only hating because you have chosen to ignore the point. The whole degree and MSc talk only came up as a response to someone that feels he knows how to talk....saying he blames the drivers that take the e-hailing business as a full time employment. All d peeps that talked about degree only stated it to make him know that he's probably not as educated or qualified as some of the drivers he's referring to, so the fact he's in a white collar employment and looking at drivers like people that don't have other things to do is a result of the rubbish that occurs in the country, where the few opportunities land in the hands of the very fortunate or connected. So he can't just be talking when he doesn't know what led them into the business.

Nobody is saying uber is not good, or that some people are too big for uber. As long as it pays your bills and you don't have to cheat/scam people for a living, it's fine by me. But let me ask you, if you had the opportunity to sit in an office, earn half a million per month, under d AC and be addressed with respect 24/7, would you rather be driving?....No.

So there's nothing wrong with letting sum1 running his mouth know that he's probably not the most qualified for his current position. This is a country where fortune and privileges(connections) determine people's lives and we must not forget that.

So we plenty? Having gone through the rigor of education even up to MSc (industrial Chemistry), I have to settle with e-hailing, it is really frustrating... But brother we won't give up, it's just a phase, a phase that teaches humble beginning and humility. It will end in praise.

At the international Airport, I was lucky to get away with 3k. It was my first trip from Ikorodu at 6:45 P. M, got there late (cool. Na d money dem collect from me though I no gree make dem tow am, I negotiate chapaly. It's part of the learning curve.
Yes o, I've got MSc Psychology. Did a contract job that wasn't worth it for 2 years of my life, I got tired, resigned, and managed to buy a car I plan to use for the e-hailing business, and someone is here saying "it's the fault of people that do it full time", like good jobs are readily available or driving people around and taking orders from rude riders is such a spectacular thing to be desired.

In this country, there are just too many insensitive and unintelligent people in better positions. That's why nothing works.

The trips made on the first were counted, I did 8 trips that day to complete mine 20tripss and I got the bonus, it ended midnight of 1Oct
So obviously, it was the customer care person that sent that message that doesnt know what he's/she's saying. He should go and complain at their office then.

Bro, you're right. You should have been credited with the 7k. The offer expired midnight of the 1st i.e 11.59 pm on that Monday. You may want to pop into their office or send them a message again.
Oga, that's not right. From that message, midnight of the 1st of October means 12:00am 1st of October, that is 12:00am Monday morning. That was when it expired, and that means all the trips that counted was the ones you completed until 11:59pm, 30th September.

The person further explained that all trips on 1st of October wouldn't count. And when does 1st of October start?.....12:00am, Monday, 1st of October.

They gave you that paper thing Abi?

I don't think uber accepts that, so you might have to wait the 26days for your temporary to be issued before proceeding for uber registration.

I stand to be corrected.
Yeah, the paper thing.

But is the temporary acceptable when I get it??

The information you're requesting is like medicine after death, it will change nothing, but only make you know more.

First of all, they lied to you.

It's even easier to renew a license than to apply for a new one. All you needed to have done was login to FRSC portal and apply for a renewal using your Driver's Licence Application Number. You wouldn't have spent more than 10K because you can make the payments using your Debit Card directly on FRSC portal, and you'll only choose if you want data capture or not, and also choose your point of collection.

The thing is that FRSC has what's called Driving School Standardization Programme (DSSP) where all driving schools have a login and create accounts for all the students they enroll. It takes a minimum of 26 days for a student to finish any driving course and 26 days after registering students by driving schools on FRSC portal, it's assumed they've learnt properly how to drive and FRSC generates certificate for the student, which is printed by the driving school. The Certificate carries a number which is what FRSC uses to confirm that someone has been properly trained, while applying for a new Licence.

What those guys at the office do is to pay operators of driving school, for instance, part of the 10K you paid them and they'll create an account in your name, as their student on FRSC portal, 26 days later, your certificate becomes ready and you can then start a formal application, thereafter, data capture.

Renewing a licence doesn't demand all these process. They only played a smart one on you, so you can pay more and they'll make money off you. There is no language as your details not being on database, except, maybe the licence is a licence you did twenty years ago or it wasn't a genuine licence from FRSC.

Also, the official 5years licence costs less than 15K, it should be 11K and some fractions or even lesser.

Hello guys, I'm new here and I need information. Okay, I just got a new car and I want to drive on UBER. My last drivers licence is the old type, it got expired and I didn't bother renewing it because I didn't own a car of my own until now.

So I went to the road safety office today and I was told I couldn't renew a licence of the old system, I was told the record is not in the database. They insisted I had to get a new one and the protocol now is that I have to go for 26 working day practice or sumthn like that. They charged me extra 10k just so I won't bother going for the practice thing, so instead of paying 15k for 5yr licence, I paid 25k. But I still have to wait for 26 working days....gosh. The problem now is, I was hoping to register my car ASAP and I don't know if uber would accept the temporary note that was issued to exempt me while driving within Lagos.

Yes, Islamic Republic of Odua-Arewastan must rise. Once we establish grazing reserves in Ondo and Ekiti, we will install Emirs in those places to maintain the peace. Next is Lagos and after that, we will dip the Quran inside the Atlantic so that the wishes of our great-grandfather Uthman Dan Fodio will be fulfilled. The only problem there is that the infidel Yeeboes are deeply entrenched in that place. With the support of the ever loyal Yorubas, they can be dislodged. We can wage a Jihad against them. What do you think?
