This is just kinda my opinion but i think the Holy spirit lives in everyone but some deeper then some. Because everybody has that 'coincence' telling them not to do wrong, Christian or not Christian. Does anyone agree with me? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Holy Spirit Feelings: What Are Your Experiences? by Softee(op): 11:34pm On Apr 26, 2006 |
hot-angel: I need to feel this mehn. Dearzi, what can i do to feel it?
your testimonies are awesome. I mean my consience talks to me, is that the holy spirit? I also hear a voice within me, when im doing wrong, i count it as concience, but from what you're saying it seems it the holy spirit. I would say this is the holy spirit. |

Christianity Etc › Do You Suffer From Low Self Esteem? God Is Talking To You! by Softee(op): 11:29pm On Apr 26, 2006 |
For anybody who suffers from inner-self problems ( eg. Low self-esteem, low self-confidence, depression, acceptance)
God loves you and he will heal you. What makes you a beautiful person is not what you look like but what people see you as. (Personality)
Also, this is a beautiful, powerful song by Kirk Franklin called Imagine Me. Its a deep song and will make you feel better:
Imagine me loving what I see when the mirror looks at me cause I, I imagine me.
In a place, of no insecurities and I'm finally happy cause I imagine me.
Letting go of all of the ones who hurt me cause they never did deserve me, can you imagine me.
Saying no to thoughts that try to control me, remembering all you told me, Lord can you imagine me?
Over what my momma said, and healed from what my daddy did and I wanna live and not read that page again.
(Chorus) Imagine me, being free, trusting you totally, finally I can imagine me, I admit it was hard to see you being in love with someone like me, finally I can imagine me.
Imagine me
Being strong and not letting people break me down, you won't get that joy this time around. Can you imagine me?
In a world, in a world nobody has to live afraid, because of your love, it's gone away, can you imagine me.
Letting go of my past and glad I have another chance and not hard to dance cause I don't have to read that page again.
(Repeat Chorus 2x’s)
Kirk talks: This song is dedicated to people like me, those that struggle with insecurities, acceptance and even self esteem, you never felt good enough, you never felt pretty enough but imagine God whispering in your ear letting you know that everything that has happened is now.
Gone, Gone, Its’ Gone, All Gone Repeat 8
Kirk’s remarks ( Um It’s All Gone. Every Sin, Every Mistake, Every Failure Its’ All Gone! Depression Gone By Faith It’s Gone Low Self Esteem, Halleluiah Its Gone, All Gone, It’s Gone All My Scars All My Pain It’s In The Past , Its’ Yesterday Its’ All Gone( Can’t Believe Its’ Gone) What Your Mother Did, What Our Father Did, Halleluiah (Its’ Gone All Gone Oh Whoa))
Oh na-na-na Oh na-na-na-na-na-na Repeat 3 X’s Oh na-na-na-na-na-na |

How do you test every spirit?
Something about me is weird. I know God is king of my life and i know he has plans for my life but i am in a strange battle and i know God is fighting half of it for me. Its hard to explain because it is deep but i am sure as a christian you can understand it to an extent. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Being Some-timish With God by Softee(op): 11:06pm On Apr 26, 2006 |
kimba: @softeeVery veryvery true. Its so hard to be a Christian and a young person at the same time. Why? because everything around us as young people are at war against everything Godly. 1-min with God, the next doing your own thing, no sweat, it just shows that you are perfectly human, and theres no problem with that. Nobody can pray for you better than yourself, because when that person stops praying for you, you're back to square-1. My advice: draw near to God, He will draw near to you. How? Read your Bible, Pray always and think about doing right things.
Did you know what: what you think about plays out who you are. If you think about yourself, you'll remain yourself. If you think about God, He'll help you to become like Him, He'll help you to do what is right, and what pleases Him. Very soon, things you found hard to do before will get done in a jiffy.
good luck!!!! O God bless you! You make me feel much better. Rhodalyn:
i receive it! AMEN! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Being Some-timish With God by Softee(op): 10:50pm On Apr 26, 2006 |
hot-angel: Forgive me, but im laughing real hard. ( i laugh at things normal humans won't laugh at)
Anyways, I think u just need to be stronger in Christ. I mean don't make promises u know u won't keep. Don't promise God u'll win 200 souls for him within 4 days, when u know u can't even walk up to one person and talk about christ.
Just do you, and enoy being a christian. U don't have to put all these burdens of "rock-hard" believers who r prolly just doing what they do for the world. And not genuinely for christ.
Well, If you're a real christian, u'll know what's right and wrong in the eyes of God. So when your doing something wrong, stop it.
I know God wouldn't want you doing things u know u can't do. So just stop making all these plans and fail to keep them. It's better to be a "u only christian" than to try an be a "i will preach to everybody, but fail to do so christian".
Uhmm, it's logical, stop making plans u won't keep. Ask for forgiveness, I'm sure God will forgive u. And go and sin no more. Then again, i'll pray for you. I guess you're right. Thanks |

Family › Re: Best Way to Punish Kids? by Softee(f): 11:44pm On Apr 19, 2006 |
Nwoke,
Some children need a good slapping to get them in line. I do not believe in hitting your kids to the extent where you do bodily harm but a good slap is sometimes what they need. All this rubbish that 'child experts' talk about sitting them on an imaginary naughty step, O please!! the child needs a whooping!!! Then they will know not to hit mummy or embarrass mummy while shopping. If you explain to the child why mummy just smacked them, they will know not to do it again.
Besides, even the Bible says:
Proverbs 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. |

I don't think God favours one over the other but i do think he apprechiates those better who are closest to him. You see God gave us all freewill to do whatever we want in life. So those people who choose strictly God, how can he not apprechiate them better? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Similarities And Differences Between Christianity And Islam by Softee(f): 10:34pm On Apr 15, 2006 |
davidylan: yeah, we are all the same. No difference at all!
Allah Says: .” Qur’an 8:5 “Your Lord sent you from your homes to fight for the true cause.”Qur’an 8:7 “Allah wished to confirm the truth by His words: ‘Wipe the infidels out to the last.’”Qur’an 8:12 “I shall terrorize theinfidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allahand His Apostle.
Qur’an 8:59 “The infidels should not think that they can get away from us. Prepare against them whatever arms and weaponry you can muster so that you may terrorize them. They are your enemy and Allah’s enemy.” Qur’an 8:71 “He will give you mastery over them.” Qur’an 8:39 “So, fight them till all opposition ends and the only religion is Islam.”

Jesus Says: Matthew 5:44: 44But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Luke 6:35 But love your enemies and be kind and do good so that someone derives benefit from them] and lend, expecting and hoping for nothing in return but considering nothing as lost and despairing of no one; and then your recompense (your reward) will be great (rich, strong, intense, and abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind and charitable and good to the ungrateful and the selfish and wicked. The difference is huge and is very much so proven by this violent verse from the Koran and this loving verse from the Bible. Praise Jesus all the way!! |
