OkaNaUbe: Issuing did cheques is a crime. Ask business people or read. As a learned person, you don't conclude simply by hearing from a complainant. Insufficient funds could be as a result of so many factors, so let the count decide. As of now, she remains innocent. |

abbey621: 8/10 times, a police officer in Nigeria is easily identifiable. Even with the scenario that you posted, you better be a damn good runner or very physical because if the officer shoots, you're likely to die than escape. Most of the time, these police officers are nothing but hungry, frustrated souls, you'll be surprised what 500 Naira can do especially when you've done nothing wrong. You have a point tho, they are poorly trained but personally for me since I'm not a runner, I'd rather part with small change than to argue. I treat police the same way I treat armed robbers! Hmm, you've said it all. |

Crime › Re: Do Not Resist Arrest Even If Illegal - Nigeria Police Warn Nigerians by SOFTENGR: 8:19pm On May 13, 2019 |
abbey621: There's no need to resist arrest, whether right or wrong, do not argue in the face of guns or poorly trained police officers. You've only got one life, do not let a frustrated soul take yours away! Imagine a scenario where a man or a lady is walking alone, only to see some men in tattered cloths come down from a danfo bus and order him/her to come in. If you were the victim, what would you do? What would come to the mind of a normal person is to take off. That's the situation we face now. The polite thing to do as a police officer is to properly introduce yourself and allow the "suspect" to call his family to inform them of his arrest. Then he would feel safe and comply. This is what is lacking in the approach of those poorly trained men. Most "suspects" resist arrest when they feel they are being kidnapped rather than being arrested. |

dannybrasky: Phase 2!! After selling few cars to the extent that I have gotten over my loss on the Ford windster. I made yet another mistake, the guy that normally bring my cars from lagos to Abuja after they have been cleared from apapa port wanted to buy a Volkswagen golf 3.This guy knew about my finances, cars I sell even up to my bank balance.because we are so so close. Long story short,I I brought in a golf 3 from Germany, which was around 450k back then. He pleaded to allow him buy the car,but the problem was he has just 200k at hand. How was he going to pay back? His answer was,he would be using the car for transportation in Abuja and its environment,b4 6months or so,he would balance up. Well sounds fair enough.
One month passes and I'm yet to get cash from oga, called him and he was like sorry sir,I will pay you something next month, business is a bit slow. Being that the job I was into back then was tasking that I had to resume 6.30am and close 10pm. I barely had time for other things except on sundays. I would rather rest than go into thug of war
2 months after, found out oga don use tokunbo golf 3 go swap with 1997 Honda accord called (Honda bulldog) well what's my own, just pay me my cash. Reason for the swap,he said the golf couldn't carry 4 people at the back comfortably for transportation.
Oya wey my money? No money lol. His wife begged me,family begged me to be patient,he even engaged my friends to beg. We had an agreement for him going to Lagos to bring my cars and then I will keep deducting his money bit by bit till he completes my money lol. Guess what oga found a way to still milk me,its either tire burst on the way or custom asked for money on a full duty paid car or police stopped him for one reason or the other
I spoke to a friend one day who advised me to let him go cos one day he might just disappear with one of my cars.
That was how that one ended. 250k gone on golf 3
More still coming o I learnt the hard way So so funny. But in reality, such experience could be painful. |

DeRuggedProf: So only the criminal is right for not approaching the police or the law courts to obtain the permission to rob people?
He was the accuser, prosecutor, judge and executioner all along. The system he created has just been perfected for him today. I believe you are one of these indomie boys who have never had any real life encounters in your life with these people. Don't worry, I will keep praying to God, to arrange an encounter with them for you. You relax at home watching game of thrones while daddy and mummy take all the risk out there. Buy you data, instead of using the data for something useful, you use it to claim 'elite'. One day, you must hit the streets, when mummy and daddy are old. You will put your phone to better use. Are you saying we should all be barbaric because a criminal is barbaric? Are you sure you're living in the 21st Century? Those acts of jungle justice affect our image as Nigerians. You may not understand the damage we do to ourselves until the day you travel to an affluent Country. |

delugajackson: Victims of a failed country. In Nigeria, It's either you die by accident due to bad roads, poor medical services, lack of emergency response, suicide due to frustration, poverty, fake drugs/prescription, fake herbal medicine, stray bullet, Dangote truck, tanker accident, electrocution from a fallen power-line, Police/SARS brutality, shot by Army during peaceful protest, Boko Haram, Herdsmen and evil government policies. It's like everything in this country was practically designed to kill you.
Sometimes I feel that Nigeria is just some kind purgatory where millions of souls are being sent to suffer and die for every known and unknown crimes they commited in their previous lives. Funny but true |
